Great insights about the Cult! I finished Hoard of dragon queen and I m going to dm Rise of Tiamat.
Sammaster, Archmage, chosen of Mistra, trainned by Elminster, Lich, overwatched by the Creeping Doom, persuader of Dragons, who battled the Sisters, discovered the formula to dracolichdoom, and created a continental proportion evil cult... Was wrong.
Right was the Mr. Nobody-Knows, puppet of Tiamat.

Yes! People give the campaign a hard time but its a great backbone to introduce new players to Faerun. And lot of room to add history and lore of the areas the book just passes by.

who would win the cult of thoon or the cult of the dragon which army faction would win in a battle
so what if Tiamat was the one to actually send the original leader the prophecy and do to his craziness he actually did just read it wrong? and she just latter gave the answer to the other leader? :P I joke but it kinda sounds like something that could have happened honestly.
Where do good metallic dragons fit into to all of this? Do they fight against this cult? Or are they a part of it?

After my party finished with Tiamat the Cult of the Dragon became the Cult of the Tonka Truck. The blatantly op ranger of our party rolled a 485/1000 on a table that made a blob of green goo which she put on an arrow turn Tiamat into a Tonka Truck for 1d4 days and then we kicked it into lava ending the threat of the Cult because she ate the Cult leader Edit: we also had a tiefling sorcerer who became a hero across Faerun cuz he got an op spell and crit on an adult blue dragon, which killed it, after that the small town where it happened made the event out to be he killed an ancient blue dragon or more powerful than that

I have been arrested so many times by who knows how many authorities, just because my crest is Red Dragon Uroboros with a pentagram inside, there is a red cross with black margins and a blue compass star in its centre above it too, that is the Cross of Glory, for services as a knight in Cormyr,
