Hey You Guys! I put my heart and soul into this video to show you the easy way to make plant-based milks. Please subscribe, smash that thumbs up and leave comments! I did all of this for you! 🙏🏾
I'm so happy to have won the giveaway! We've been loving our new vitamix and cream whipper. I wish I could leave more than just one like, but just know that you have 2 lifelong subscribers in this home! 😀 We can't wait to make some oat milk!
Congrats Nick! Happy to hear you're excited and in love with your Vitamix/Cream Whipper package! A great start to the new year for you! Thanks for entering the giveaway!!! 😍🙏🏾👨🏾🍳
Thank you very much for these vegan milk recipes! I have a Vitamix now and I am going to learn how to use it. I have a heart condition and that is why I cannot drink dairy milks anymore. But these recipes will make it easier. I am going in my kitchen and make milks myself now. Yippie and thank you so much from Germany, Henry. 😃👍🍶🥛🥤
Your recipes are wonderful !!! You add the exact measurements and you explain why !!! I like your precise way of making these !!! Great information!!!!
I just made oat milk according to your recipe. It’s great!~ No slime😊, and it’s sooo much cheaper probably healthier without any additives than store bought. Thanks for making your videos.
I love this session because I have been told there are all kinds of ingredients to prevent the sliminess but now I can just use ICE. Thanks for this SIMPLE hint, those added ingredients are so EXPENSIVE yet I don’t like buying what I can make.
Hi Jen! Yes I did a lot of research and multiple recipe tests. There is no reason at all to add extra ingredients to prevent the sliminess. It's all about short blend times, keeping the water ice cold during the processing and being gentle when separating the oat milk from the pulp. Being the experienced home chef that you are you already know simple just works. 🙏🏾
Great video Henry! Thanks for clarifying how to reduce the incidence of 'oat-milk slime'. 😁 I use oat milk for hot cocoa. I use my milk frother to heat and froth the milk & cocoa. So delicious! And cashew milk is so rich and decadent! I love it for dunking cookies! 🍪🥛
I'm new to your channel this is my first time seeing you so far I'm just loving what I'm seeing. I'm a raw vegan. I just got my new Vitamix prep 3 commercial❤❤😊😊😊 thank you for the videos 😊
I’m going to try the oat milk tomorrow! I’m a bit scared of the slime😅 Thanks for putting together a really informative video. It seems easy to make the nut milks - will be cheaper and won’t have the additives of store-bought.
Thanks for making all the milks in the same video. I usually blend a few dates instead of the maple syrup (it's super expensive in Australia). Will have to try the walnut milk.
The leavings from the sieve would be great in a smoothie. And I KNEW maple syrup was going to make its way into the finished milks. 🤣 I'm one of those few people for whom adding coffee to a chocolate recipe just makes it taste like coffee (even in incremental quantities), which I loathe. Much better for me to let chocolate/cocoa fly solo. And incidentally, I get tired of people acting like cocoa is chocolate's poor relation--they both have their merits.
You know when I was creating this video I couldn't quite remember who it was that didn't like coffee taste in anything. It was on my mind the whole time. Haha. Glad you brought this up again. What really drives me up the wall is how kids gravitate to those Frappuccinos at Starbucks. Kids are drinking more coffee today than ever only because the Starbucks recipe attempts to hide it with sugar, milk whipped cream, caramel, etc to a point that kids love it.
Hi Ren! While I haven't tried Cacao powder as of yet if it mixes well with dairy-based milk you should be able to substitute it. Depending on how chocolate-tasting Cacao is you may have to adjust the ingredients a bit, but it should turn out well. Let me know! 🙏🏾
Perhaps frozen yogurt could be made by freezing the milk into ice cubes but you would definitely need to add some fat to it such as full-fat coconut milk or avocado in your blend.
Thank you very much! The only issue with honey is it doesn't mix well with cold ingredients or stay in liquid form once it hits the refrigerator. I will say the flavor of honey will definitely change the taste of what chocolate milk normally tastes like so keep that in mind. 😍
Hi Rick! The nuts need to be pre-soaked in water in order for the milk to be creamy and smooth. You will get a mealy texture no matter how much you filter the milk from the fiber if you don't soak them. It's also better for digestion by pre-soaking them. As shown in the video you just need to place them in a container and fill it up with water until it fully covers the nuts. Place in the refrigerator for 24 hrs.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thank you so very much for that tip now I understand why my Almond Milk turns out mealy its because I didn't soak the almonds!!! OPS
I have had that fruit press for over 10 years. I bought it from a website that harvests apples and fruits. They press them into juice. I honestly can't remember the website. It was about $80 USD but that was over 10 years ago.
You can find one here www.homedepot.com/p/VEVOR-Fruit-Wine-Press-0-9-Gal-Cheese-Vegetable-Tincture-Press-with-T-Handle-and-0-1-in-Thick-Plate-for-Juicing-Red-ZZJDGNYZJ3LRD0001V0/320348954
While I'm certain it's possible and may be just fine with select nuts, it could present a problem since certain types require different blend times and other additives for the proper taste. For example Almond milk requires straining and Cashew milk does not which could affect the flavor of what the cashews bring to the milk if you strain them.

OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I never new that you should use certain oats to make oat milk, and I've never tried oat milk. I will have to give it a try.😋

I love your videos, Henry! :) If I was in the USA I would certainly buy a Vitamix from your links.
You are awesome Lila! 😍

The way I showed how to make the oat milk it shouldn't end up slimy for you. It definitely tastes good! I was also skeptical at first. 😍
Just got a vitamix and can’t wait to try and make my own almond milk! Thanks for this video

Love these recopies. I have fallen off in my blending over the last couple of years, but it is time to get back at it.
Right on! There's never a bad time to recharge and start again! 👍🏾
Thank You 🤗 ever so much. I will be doing these. I'm so excited 😍
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching! 😍
Thanks
Excellent video. Very well done. Good job!!
Sure. But I prefer to use my Vitamix to purée my raw beef liver. Thanks 😊
You're my favorite!

very informative

For the cashew milk Can I use cacao powder?

Great video . Thanks!
Could you make yogurt out of the oat milk ?
Perhaps frozen yogurt could be made by freezing the milk into ice cubes but you would definitely need to add some fat to it such as full-fat coconut milk or avocado in your blend.
I would think so, but you probably need a way to sanitize it before mixing with yogurt culture to make sure you don't culture any bad bacteria.
These look amazing! Instead of maple syrup can I use honey?
Thank you very much! The only issue with honey is it doesn't mix well with cold ingredients or stay in liquid form once it hits the refrigerator. I will say the flavor of honey will definitely change the taste of what chocolate milk normally tastes like so keep that in mind. 😍
@@BlendingWithHenry you’re so right! I didn’t even think about the honey being like that. I’ll def try these out esp the Choc cashew milk 😍😍
Great video Henry! Can you tell me the difference in the new Propel 750 VS the Professional Series 750?
Hi Paul. Please stay tuned. I will be putting out information about it shortly.
Can you explain the "soak the nuts?" How long? How much water?
Hi Rick! The nuts need to be pre-soaked in water in order for the milk to be creamy and smooth. Could you add a date to the first step instead of maple syrup
Yes. Dates are fine and often preferred.
