Whether it's the Cornovirus, terrorism, or a drug war, having a border wall is absolutely necessary for the security of AMERICAN CITIZENS. Open borders are open to EVERYTHING. I have lived abroad for over 20 years and never lived in a place where the luxury to live and work beyond 3 months was not totally controlled by the host country through, in the beginning, a WORK permit. It was only after employment and paying taxes for 5 years as an American that I was granted a permanent residence permit. That permit is conditional on Good Standing. Break the law or disrupt the host country's gracious invite...and that C permit would go away fast. Why should the US be any different?

The fact, however, is that I am in the vast majority of the residents of sanctuary cities. We're just not all scared little girls like you all seem to be. I did take the time to read your post and I am curious about the undocumented immigrants you mentioned and their tax contributions... do undocumented immigrants pay taxes to the American government.? If they are undocumented, how can they file a tax return.? Of course, we all contribute differently to our communities, but you brought this up specifically in your post and, as I said, I am terribly curious about how this works.
