- Welcome to a third episode with our Allroad TFSI
In the previous video I done service on the engine and gearbox and while the covers were off I found that the bushes for suspension arms seen better days . So I ordered set of genuine bushes to get them replaced . In this episode I would like to share my experience with CANbus immobiliser what we installed in other vehicles as well .
Thank you for watching ! - Авто та транспорт
The new format of showing service work on your own car is a great addition to an already very informative channel. Please keep us informed of what other work you do on your car. Keep it going.
Is Miroslav all that chilled 😎..? Get him to do one episode one day, lets get to hear his adventures as well.. All in all great work and content. Keep on keeping on..
Do you have a link to the immobilizer or make and modell ?
She’s a beauty. Hit the trim with some Cerakote. Shines it right up with the rest of the car. 👍🏾
Love your videos so informative and brilliant to watch
Another top one again, can not fault you fantastic car
😀
Great video, love an Allroad.
Which immobilizer you picked and why? Can you share link so we can educate ourselves?
Who ever buys this car in the future is going to be such a lucky man
Great video as always, thank you for very interesting contents 👍
Great video pity it was really dark under the car and difficult to see anything
Yeah … sort out some light now 😓
I really like your content , Excellent , more footage of the dog please 👍👍
Very interesting - can you please give me details (manufacturer / options available / link etc.) of the CANBUS immobililiser as I would like to for one to my Porsche Macan? Thanks
I honestly cant believe how clean the underbody is.
Definitely a keeper that car.
Did you have any luck with the steering wheel mate?
Love this channel lots of good content 5 Star for presentation.
Have you noticed how clean are they underneath? My garage praised my car as one of the cleanest car they work on
Japan import c6 tfsi
Thanks 🎉
Very interesting , great car too 😊
As a former mechanic, the second thing I see after the car is the Stenhøj, classic car lift brand at least in Europe. 😁
very nice, if I get a newer car with keyless go I'll definitely get a similar immobilizer
I have those lower bushes to do on my S4 again i dont release the ball joint and just swing the arm around to press the bush out
Love the content and amazing car
Maybe its different on an A6 with the arms but put meyle HD on my B7 S4 and they are great and all new, also the ball joints. Can't wait to see you do the upper arm bushings, that pinch bolt can be a pain in the ass. 😅
My A8 D4 2015's factory original arms are at 315,000 mile and the balljoints are still as sound as a pound, only the bushes are shot. I may even keep all these original Audi arms to be rebushed and use them again in the future. Have only done the uppers and some lowers as I ran out of time due to the upper pinch bolts being 9 years in place, had to drill and drift them out. Each one took me best part of a day. I note that the new bolts are wasp-waisted and hope that helps in the future, but I lathered them in anti-corrosion wax anyway.
@@snapdragogon69
These pinch bolts took me 2,5 hours at one side wile the first one came out in 20 seconds, arms and bushings where 20 years old.
If those two bolts on the upper arms are detached from the upper mount first it makes it so much easier. Can lift the entire knuckle arm out and put it on a bench to get more access and leverage on that pinch bolt.
@@sarcastixx74
These bolts are mounted from the outside in, you can't get them out while in the car.
@@Rol1Co On my B8 S4 they are easily accessible but it also looks like on the Allroad they can be got to by taking the wheel arch liners out? I can see what looks like the nuts on the inside facing the shock tubing @8:43 and the outer bolt heads will be just inside those liners, they might not even need full removal.
Fair play, you work hard!
I now have the same car. Japanese import …. Suspension creaks plenty over bumps and needs seeing to.
If my audi ever breaks...am bringing it to you guys...❤
Not if, but when . 😂
Air jack pad for the ramp
are you swapping both the front and rear bushings in the front? went to the MOT today and they said my rear linkarm bearing/bushings in the front(i guess you refer to them as wishbones) have seen better days so i thinking about changing them myself. anything i should think about or be careful about when doin em?
Hmm maybe put some horizontal LED uplighters along the edges of the lift? i.e. great light above, but you spend 50% of time under an Audi
You mentioned doing a DSG service. I thought the bitdi had a normal auto
how much labour time did it take for this work ?
Can you please give link for the security device please
Hey good day, I have a question: ABT is offering chip tuning for the allroad 2022 3.0 TFSI with power increase to 408HP. With the mindset that this ain’t a car to be constantly in the red line or anything stupid like that, do you think a) it worths? b) do you think the gearbox would handle the extra power with no issues? Thanks and happy holidays to all of you
It Will handle it ok
Thanks for the prompt answer. Give us content for the holidays :)
always wondered do you do any gearbox maintenance like for the b8 s4?
Not often it’s “life time “
Very interesting as usual.
Quick question, what tires have you gone for, what do you think of them?
Thanks David
Check previos video
Thanks, l did watch the video but missed you say Khumo tires.
Will have a look at reviews on them, looking for my TT.
Thanks again.
never had the bushes replaced, always complete new arms. what is the saving in ££££ when pressing out the bushes and inserting new. given that this requires some skill/time/spacers to achieve a speedy outcome compared to new arms. Was it worth it?
Genuine bushes for all
Arms 267£ genuine arms 1680£ 😂
@@VAGTechnic Why buy genuine? Audi doesent make this parts, its prosduced by eather Myele or Lemförder...and online like Autodoc its cheap and u get the balljoints too ;)
On multilink you should usually always replace all of tve bushes, especially since they are pretty cheap. Maybe sometimes if you don't care for much than passing inspection you can just change the main (lower rear) bushing.
full set of front arms is well over 1000 so not cheap
@@Vteccer666 Which is why is said "all of the bushes", e.g lower and upper, not just either or.
Are you sure these bushes have fluid in them? @9:27 cheers.
100% done RS5 to day , something was leaking out when it was on press
@@VAGTechnic Very interesting, thank you. Love your channel. It's wear and tear, not tear and wear. 👍
Wd-40 means water displacement 40 weight. It is not for rust or loosening bolts or nuts.
WD-40 Multi-Use Product protects metal from rust and corrosion, penetrates stuck parts, displaces moisture and lubricates almost anything
@repentfulsinner Sorry to necro a 3 month old post, WD40 is now also a brand, they offer numerous products with WD40 logo on the cans, just incase you didn't know.
Can I ask how much would this typically cost for an A6 C7? Thanks in advance
Bushes are around 60£ each plus labour
What is the name of the immobiliser?
Could you do a video how to set up one ?
Cant do That for security reason
You need a daily for your daily. That thing is far to clean to drive in uk winters 😂
Passat is still on road
I notice that there needs to be more light under the car when you are working on the ramp. It is very dark and hard to see on the camera, please.
I like the diagnostics fee sign on the front, probably saves you from cheapskates wasting your time 🙂
😀 sometimes people are shocked anyways
Starline i96?
Try again
Why MAZDA SUV inside VAG workshop????
That will not count , Sunday that was
Your dog made your employee go to employee parking.
Love the videos but the square plates on the car look crap.
Just leave the dog in the car as an immobiliser. Bet she'd take care of it 😀
She looks a bit scary for some people
so if I want to steal a car, I have to steal a phone too ?
Yes , but if iPhone is stolen you can block it and that’s it 😀
@@VAGTechnic how do you want to do it when I turn Flight mode on
So they now need to get your keys and phone in order to seal your car?
And can you please replace them number plates! 😮
I asked for them . Want to keep the Japan look
Show the pressing next time bub
RS5 video check it out
