- This is our first stay in Florida during the winter months. All of the RV parks in southern Florida are packed during the winter. We stayed at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails Orlando) for a few weeks and share our experience at this wonderful Thousand Trails RV Park!

@@SuiteTravels How far in advance do you have to reserve with TT? I am thinking of getting a used Platinum membership with them. It seems all the campgrounds are filling up so fast
@OceanBreeze It just depends on the park and time of year. We scheduled this one 120 days in advance, but we just reserved an Encore park in Arizona for the end of January without any problem.
Is this place a better deal than Ft Wilderness at Disney World? I saw that Disney World was charging as much as $150 a night for an RV spot which is just ridiculous. I assume this place is much cheaper and offers as many amenities
No shady spots .No trees not much of a caravan place.But uou do have large vehicles there. So l can understand that . Love your rig . Nearly retired riad train driver from Australia 🇦🇺cheers

I'm still giggling at you guy's doing the dosey doe with your rigs. I have a good imagination and could see it. All you needed was a little western square dancing music. My giggling started when Jim was asked how he got his car up on the back of the tractor. Jim says It's a smart car, we just say up (while snapping his fingers). That's funny. So glad you were able to get the spot by the lake. That for sure is a game changer. I've got my coffee ready Kelly. haha

We have the same problem. EVERY YEAR! I spent this past Saturday booking 3 trips so far for this year before the snow birds came back! 😜 I was able to get us a site at Ortona Lock for a couple days during the week! 🎉

@@MaryOKC I meant to say 2 days in March at Ortona Lock. We scheduled a 4 day trip to Oscar Scherer in September & Myakka River in October (this year) hoping to book 1 more the first part of April otherwise it gets too hot down this way. 🤷🏻♀️

ST, HELLO, I saw a couple you know,,inderectly, They also went to the TAMPA SHOW, no need for, but they looked. A small trailers,& they ALLhad a spacious shower/toilet,and great sleeping accommodations . Where you are now looks NEW & lovely , large pads, I saw water hookups, not sure about power, we are cold here as I watch this video,it’s 38*F, Maybe snow SUNDAY,

I do believe I saw the grey Volvo & tow @23:12 in Mobile Alabama on Hwy 98 headed west towards Mississippi today 1/25/22. I rubber necked a few miles up 98 trying to get good look. I do admire yawl's rigs! 🤓

I take it you are a former driver, hence the Westernstar truck to pull your 5th wheel. Still gives you that feeling!!!!! I love it! Westernstar= The only star that matters!!!!!
LOL....nope! Our WS sort of fell in our lap. We were looking for a class 8 truck and this one was on the market with everything we wanted. Sometimes the Lord blesses us and we just need to say thanks. We appreciate you coming along Lamar....have a great week!

Glad you guys found a spot at TTO. Sometimes it can be tough finding a spot. You are right about the 12:00 game. You have to get there as close to 12 as possible. The middle area is perfect for all of the families with kids. You guys got a perfect site. Hope to see you at the show

I usually get there around two in the afternoon when I go there. You can always move the next day if you don’t like your spot.

They've developed this new numbering system for the peak season Lynette, so we're not sure when they drop it. It seems to work pretty well. Enjoy your time in TTO!

I love camping and i love your videos and rig but am not in Florida am in Allentown Pennsylvania i only camp on summer every year we go 7 or 8 times camping feels great especially when you go with your family god bless you my friend keep on with your nice video and traveling to florida camping parks🙏🙏

we were there over Christmas, we are not TT members, they put us in the older area, but was a decent place, we were there for Disney. about 30-40 min depending on traffic.

Was also in TTO new section just before Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed my two-week visit. When I arrived just after 1PM on a Tuesday, there was no staging in effect and still found a site easily - close to the pools. 😎🌴

Thanks for sharing this good to see another TTO campground. We live near the one y’all stayed at a couple months back when you visited your kids. And the one in Bridgeport has so much potential but it seems no money is ever spent there for improvement’s.
We agree James....this is the first park we've seen that is trying to upgrade and it's been a little frustrating. Maybe once they see how beautiful this has become they'll start moving to other parks.

So I watch countless videos like yours for the wealth of information that experienced RVers like the two of you provide. Everything is totally unknown for newbies like myself so I lean on people like you and thank you for your shared information. Wife and I just can’t resolve ourselves to spend however many thousands of dollars on something when we hear that thousands trails is not putting back into their parks . Have heard that many times. It also looks like you have to play to many games in that park to find a good site.Also we are not fond of Florida and the ocean in general, the mountains are our draw. For now we are following the gulf coast into Texas to Corpus Christi . And on west from there.
It's not for everyone Tony....but we had to try it at least once. We love the mountains too, but our Florida experience has been great!
Please DO NOT waste your money on thousand trails. We've been members since 2003. We've stayed in the parks coast to coast to coast. It works for us. We've camped on texas, arizona and more than 80 days in california. This year. All parks were clean maintained well and many were being upgraded. With thousand trails my average cost per night is $4.00 for the entire year. So please DO NOT JOIN and all is well for us. 4 years full time. Living the dream

Sitting in England awaiting the storm with 100mph sustained winds expected. I’m so glad I found you both this morning. I’m watching your videos and learning so much. I was wondering what the costs are for staying at this facility? It’s almost impossible to find out from Europe but it’s of great interest for us.
Thank you for replying to me earlier today from your own piece of heaven in Montana. I can’t wait to come over and buy our property and land. Next comes the RV and some traveling. After so long of shielding after my chemotherapy I’m just starting to feel like everything is possible.

Bunkering down for the storm due to make landfall tonight. 100 mph sustained winds with a risk to life expected. I’m happy to be in a brick built cottage that was built in the 1870s. I’m minutes away from the beach with huge surges expected. Well be dining upstairs 😉🤞💫

Just discovered your site or "Vlog". Have to acknowledge how beautiful your rig is! More of an ensemble with all of the pieces. Looking forward to seeing the inside of the coach. We've had 6 different rv's since 1986- all motorhomes until oure 45 ' Teton 5th wheel.
Loved them all. Some of the folks in the Teton club have rigs like yours. That represents a high level of commitment to the life style for sure. Out travels were primarily limited to the western states because for many of those years I was still working. Would have loved to do what you guys are doing for sure! Will be watching your adventures moving forward.
