I used to watch you guys all the time back in 17. I deployed in the beginning of 18 and didn’t get to watch you guys for that year and just kind of fell off. Randomly decided to see how it’s going tonight and am so happy you guys are still you. No gimmicks no corny advertising. Just whiskey. Awesome seeing how far you guys have come! Cheers! 🥃
It's wild how much stuff you guys open me up to and get me to try. After watching this video I went out and picked up a bottle of Slow & Low Rock and Rye and I am in love. Put this stuff on ice and it's basically one of the best cocktails I've ever had already pre-made in a bottle. Thank you for showcasing it or I would have never even considered trying it out.
If you think Screwball is too sweet (and it is), try this: 2 parts Screwball + 3 parts Rye whisky. I did this with Jack Daniels Rye over a big ice chunk and it was surprisingly good.
Rex, I know your pallet was destroyed after that Skrewball. I've had it before and it's a great crowd pleaser at a party, but I couldn't un-taste it for the rest of the night.
I thought y'all would have said the Rock N Rye was too sweet for your tastes. But you are correct, it's a fine bottled "cocktail" that I always keep on hand.
Screwball is in every package store around me. Never tried it straight but in the before times a bartender gave my friends and I shots of screwball and chambord he claimed tasted like a pb&j. Results were inconclusive
Bought a bottle after a coworker raved about it. After a few pours, it's sitting on my shelf and probably gonna get tossed. Waaaayyy too sweet for my taste. Even after cutting it with water and ice.
I watched a video where they mixed screwball with some rye whiskey and a dash of chocolate bitters. They said it was pretty good and takes a lot of the sweetness out. Give that a try
I'm just started to grow out my hair, on out 4 months of growth. Was feeling a bit disheartened but seeing how great Rex's hair looks now, after only a year, I am more confident
Skrewball has quickly become my favorite flavored. While it's can quickly become sickingly sweet after a couple, it is still fantastic before you hit that point. Quick squirt of whipped cream to add a hit of smooth and it's great. I am, however, a person who eats peanut butter by the spoonful and can put it on just about anything.
I usually tame flavored whiskies by "diluting" with standard bourbon or Irish into the bottles (at least 25%). They are also great for winter drinking and growing the whiskey tribe. I brought screwball to a fall harvest party and it was absolutely devoured (commonly added to the hot cocoa).
I did some half and half, bourbon and fireball mixes a few times and it did improve the taste. But I realized that I would rather just sip good whisky.
Daniel: "You ever heard of a Rock n' Rye? So it was a drink, and actually it was served as medicine in the 1800s..." Me: "Try the 1980s. I remember getting that when I had the flu as a kid."
I’m glad I saw this. I bought a bottle of screwball because my friends were raving about it. I tried it once and thought it was WAY too sweet. After watching this I had to see if I could get the popcorn note and I ended up enjoying it this time. 🍿
My reaction to Screwball was Rex's reaction to the smell. I liked it a lot when I tried it a few days ago. I drank a little too fast with it and got a bit tipsy because of how easy it was to drink. I'd likely have to add something to counteract the super sweet aspect of it. I'm like Daniel when it comes to sweet drinks (not counting soda) and food/snacks.
We've had Skrewball here in California for a while but about 6 months ago the bottle changed and the recipe changed pretty drastically. It used to be a guilty pleasure, something I'd enjoy with dessert. Now it's just ridiculously sweet and not nearly as good. I can't find any reference to the change on the internet because anything you Google is dominated by news of the lawsuits. Anybody got any info on that?
found a bottle of Slow & Low Rock and Rye for $27 at one of my local liqueur stores and based on what y'all said about it I bought it! it's quite nice, but I found mixing 50/50 with cherry cola worked REALLY well!
I have a few bottles of whiskey bullet, Woodford reserve and Buffalo trace I'm looking for recommendations for other whiskeys to add to my infinity bottle
I need to ask about the proof of so many whiskeys, I've noticed That many bottle you guys have reviewed have an Abv of 40%...then that same bottle in Australia will be 37% and then in South Africa it will be 43%....are the proofs (Abv) really different between the countries if so are the tastes too different??
Skrewball is a staple at VA ABC stores. It's sickeningly sweet, like a butterfinger candy bar. My fiancée loved it. I can see it as a mixer, or in ice cream like Daniel says.
It will not be similar. The faygo flavor, to me, tastes like a cola mixed with a cream soda. The slow and low, well, it's like they said, a cocktail. Like a pretty decent rye old fashioned. Worth a buy, definitely over ice, I like a splash of seltzer.
I don't have any flavored whiskey, but I was inspired by the idea. I took some Talisker Storm & added a bit of Dansk Mjød Odin's Skull cinnamon apple mead. It was pretty good.
Someone bumps chair chair makes noise. Daniel turns and looks Daniel gets angry. At the person who bumped the chair. Or at himself for turning away from the video camera?
Didn't care for that pb screwball, just too mellow and smooth no bite. And got Leadslingers Rye on my shelf but haven't seen napalm. Sounds interesting. Happy Friday Everyone!
I think the best whisky liqueur I’ve had was the Old Pulteney - Stroma. Just delicious, friendly caramel. Although I don’t have the sweet tooth I once had...
I have to say, and I do so with no hope of a reply or acknowledgement.. but that while I was deployed overseas 2 years ago (late July - early February) that your whisky videos helped me keep a feeling of at home, a feeling of something to watch on shift (4 out of every 5 days), and it made me comfortable I would say. While I do not miss being over in *redacted*, I do sort of miss watching a handful of your episodes everyday and while I was in the gym. Just letting you know that I really appreciate what ya'll do and that if there's a way I can use my GI Bill to take your classes online that I will be doing so. Thanks and keep up the good work my friends.
Green Dragon Pepper infused vodka mixed with lime juice. (mixed in same way as a whiskey and cola). Latinos, the restaurant I used to get it at (owned by a Chilean family), usually served it in a large martini glass. I think it was rimmed with salt and he barest hint of fresh ground black pepper.(can't remember if their was any special salt use) But they infused the vodka themselves, with varying heats. Your drink could be, mild(chili's), medium (hot jalapeno) hot (habanero) or suicide (don't remember which pepper, but this was *before* ghost peppers, or scorpion peppers). But something they did, still gave it flavour, and not just the burn. I had them all, but usually went with medium, just because I love the taste of jalapeno(hot or not) I was sorry when they closed, they had been in Guelph something like 30 years. Took a few dates there. Menu wasn't cheap, but wasn't stupidly high, and everything was scratch made and delicious, so worth the price. Now there's a bank, and a Caribbean carry-out where they used to be. :-( A few of my co-workers and I when on midnight shift, would hang out at a coffee shop after work, to wait for them to open, and a group that could be 4 people, or could be as many as 12, would go to Latino's and have "breakfast for dinner" (because it was essentially our supper time) almost every pay day. The staff always treated us as regulars, even though we only came once a week for the most part. (And every once in a while, our waitress would let me have a Green Dragon with my meal (even though the bar itself wasn't allowed to open for another hour or so, and I didn't tell anyone), just in a normal glass and ungarnished. But we always tipped well, so I think it helped. This is my long winded way of saying, You guys should do some pepper infused spirits/whiskey. For the bar. And you could taste test them on The Whisk(e)y Tribe, to decide on which flavor blends of varied types of peppersto keep, as well as the heat limits. :-D ;-) Then maybe follow it up with "Potential Cocktail Inventions" (or if better with an ice cube?)
Are any of you aware of how many times I've had to go to the comments to see if anyone commented on when the Laphroaig showed up when I'm watching older episodes?
I’m not 100% sure, but I believe that it’s the same as the Glenlivet 12 that they reviewed early on in the channel. The 12 Double oak is a redesigned label.
I got a bottle of Screwball in january. My first thoughts were that it was WAY too sweet, and that it might be good over ice cream. Haven't opened it back up since then.
Skrewball is rather interesting. On a hunch I mixed a little with some Knob Creek Rye and the after taste is pure waffle cone. A very boozy waffle cone.
I don't really like sweet drinks but I wouldn't mind a little peanut butter flavored whiskey in my coffee. I wouldn't put it in my locally roasted expensive bourbon barrel aged coffee, but I would definitely slip some in to my Dunkin brew.
I tried the screwball because I was curious what a savory flavor like peanut butter would do to a whiskey flavored thing. It was awful it had that super sickly sweet flavor, along with a flavor of I got stale nutter butter cookies.
I woke up in the middle of the night last night with the "Titan of Whiskey" song playing in my head.
It's in my head all day.
Dun dun da na na na na na na na na na na na na
It is a sign... Send them whisk(e)y until you fulfill your destiny.
sooo weird question buuut can yall upload a 10hr or so long loop of the Titan of Whiskey song/video. for a friend ... of course
Cheers! 🥃
Can’t believe Rex is the one barefoot in the vault, considering Daniel’s the hobbit
Holy crap how funny is he running around with no shoes.
I'm glad you did this section - I have almost every bottle in my bar and love to show these to my other bartenders
I love it its my go to for camping and fishing I just go to the gas station and get a cup full of ice a lid and a straw and I'm good to go
The Rock and Rye is actually very good. One of the few flavored whiskies i actually enjoy.
The Rock and Rye has become a staple here. Quick, easy, and great cocktail.
If you think Screwball is too sweet (and it is), try this: 2 parts Screwball + 3 parts Rye whisky. I did this with Jack Daniels Rye over a big ice chunk and it was surprisingly good.
1 part screwball, 1 part chocolate liquor and 2 parts half n half
Tastes like a peanut butter cup
I've been waiting for Slow and Low forever! It's awesome!
I got an airplane bottle of Slow and Low because it was actually in a wee little can. The can was worth the buy.
I'm excited for when someone has gotten their 5th speed up for the Titan animation.
Screwball is in every package store around me. Never tried it straight but in the before times a bartender gave my friends and I shots of screwball and chambord he claimed tasted like a pb&j. Results were inconclusive
I work at a Bevmo and that's how some of my coworkers have sold it. It's too sweet for my taste.
Bought a bottle after a coworker raved about it. After a few pours, it's sitting on my shelf and probably gonna get tossed. Waaaayyy too sweet for my taste. Even after cutting it with water and ice.
My wife tried some red wine right after a sip of Skrewball and got the same taste of PB&J
I watched a video where they mixed screwball with some rye whiskey and a dash of chocolate bitters. They said it was pretty good and takes a lot of the sweetness out. Give that a try
Add it to a chocolate Stout/Porter, like Yuenglings Hersheys or Youngs Chocolate ....taste like a Reese's peanut butter cup.
Surprised Traverse City Cherry wasn't in this. Might need to send a bottle in. Amazing!
ooohhh...never seen that! And I live in Michigan! lol. I'll have to look for it next time I go to the store!
Sometimes I’ll pour 1/2 oz of Skrewball into 2oz of Wild Turkey. IMHO, these are better when cut.
I do the same. Then they are quite enjoyable.
I HAVE to try this sometime.
Mad Scientist!! 👏👏
I'm just started to grow out my hair, on out 4 months of growth. Was feeling a bit disheartened but seeing how great Rex's hair looks now, after only a year, I am more confident
I just watched the Rare Whiskeys from 5 Nov 2021 BTW. For any future readers
I got that Rock and Rye as a gift bottle, I thought it was basically a premade Old Fashioned, just a little sweeter than I make them
Skrewball has quickly become my favorite flavored. While it's can quickly become sickingly sweet after a couple, it is still fantastic before you hit that point. Quick squirt of whipped cream to add a hit of smooth and it's great. I am, however, a person who eats peanut butter by the spoonful and can put it on just about anything.

Could we add more dinosaurs to the Titan bit? And by "we" I mean Fancy Dan.
About time they did Slow and Low. I've been wanting to know their thoughts on that for a while. I used to drink this on the rocks now I drink it neat.
Daniel: "You ever heard of a Rock n' Rye? So it was a drink, and actually it was served as medicine in the 1800s..."
Me: "Try the 1980s. I remember getting that when I had the flu as a kid."
I'm thinking of making a Reese's Martini cocktail with the Skrewball. Has anyone already done this, and do you have any tips?
I’m glad I saw this. I bought a bottle of screwball because my friends were raving about it. I tried it once and thought it was WAY too sweet. After watching this I had to see if I could get the popcorn note and I ended up enjoying it this time. 🍿
Rex definitely just showed us his zoom style, normal business t shirt he presents himself in for videos. Walks away, shows us his gym shorts.
Stop fast forwarding the Titan intro, it's the most amazing piece of art ever created
We've had Skrewball here in California for a while but about 6 months ago the bottle changed and the recipe changed pretty drastically. It used to be a guilty pleasure, something I'd enjoy with dessert. Now it's just ridiculously sweet and not nearly as good. found a bottle of Slow & Low Rock and Rye for $27 at one of my local liqueur stores and based on what y'all said about it I bought it! it's quite nice, but I found mixing 50/50 with cherry cola worked REALLY well!
"my left hand smells very strange" - Daniel 2020
I was waiting for a "here, smell my finger".
Would you guys sip Slow and Low neat or is it better on the rocks?
I have a few bottles of whiskey bullet, Woodford reserve and Buffalo trace I'm looking for recommendations for other whiskeys to add to my infinity bottle
Try maker's mark, and wild turkey 101. Makers is a wheated, so softer and sweeter, Turkey is a high rye, so a little spicier.
There still needs to be Falcor flying behind the tower at the end of the Titan animation. 😜
Rex def woke up in the distillery... t-shirt, shorts, and no shoes haha
1. I need the audio of the Titan Song for a ringtone/alarm
2. How dare you speed that up!

Hope the leftovers do not find their way into the Vault Infinity Bottle...
Yeah that could be a disaster.
My neighbors mom used to keep a bottle of Rock and Rye in the fridge.
We would take a little every now and then and the fruit was the best.
I live close to Philadelphia and I love Slow & Low Rock and Rye!
Super sweet video, Lekker man, Have you guys tried South African whiskeys, will like to send you some to try.
Love slow and low!!! It’s great when you want cocktail but don’t want to make one!
Oddly, as a millennial, I'm pretty sold on funky's ad campaign. Gotta respect that level of transparency.
I am so surprised that they did Coldcock and Slow and low. Good drinks.
Faygo Rock n' Rye is my favorite childhood soda pop. The Slow and Low has peaked my interest...
It will not be similar. The faygo flavor, to me, tastes like a cola mixed with a cream soda. The slow and low, well, it's like they said, a cocktail. Like a pretty decent rye old fashioned. Worth a buy, definitely over ice, I like a splash of seltzer.
The screwball is great with iced coffee with half and half. The bitterness of the coffee will balance it out for a good ' iced Irish coffee'
Skrewball and Grape soda is a thing.
Screwball reminds me of a Reeses cup. I still drink rock and ryethe one with lemon with a spoon of honey when I have a cold or flu.
One of my favorite episodes yet.
Screwball and grape pucker is a great PB&J shot
Didn't care for that pb screwball, just too mellow and smooth no bite. And got Leadslingers Rye on my shelf but haven't seen napalm. Sounds interesting. Happy Friday Everyone!
Putting one part peanut butter whiskey with four parts of my favorite budget whiskey is delicious.
im happy to see atleast 3 "rare" whiskeys that are well stocked at my liquor store. slow and low is pretty tasty
Lots of liqour stores lean heavy into flavored sections. One of the local places has every flavor of burnette's.....
Titan of Whiskey? When did they add that? Also, San Diego/Ocean Beach represent!
Hello from Pacific Beach
Daniel repeatedly referring to cocktail garnish as "dressing" has to be more "dad" than any dad joke he's ever told on this channel.
😂🤣😂😂
Cinnamon, peanut butter, honey is a good sandwich. Peanut butter toast with honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon (open faced) For extra credit, add bacon.
I think the best whisky liqueur I’ve had was the Old Pulteney - Stroma. Just delicious, friendly caramel. Although I don’t have the sweet tooth I once had...
i love the Titian of whiskey skit its F***ing awsome, but i also love that you guys speed it up XD, it is rather long
Peanut butter whiskey shot followed by shot of grape soda is a pb&j shot. Tastes great
5:12 *sees the sheep*
SAN DIEGO! OB REPRESENT!!!
Daniel: about to go the to ice machine
Rex: No, it needs a prince
I agree, Screwball is way too sweet...
For the bar.

Then maybe follow it up with "Potential Cocktail Inventions" (or if better with an ice cube?)
Coffee, Skrewball, and a little chocolate creamer. Nuff said.
Are any of you aware of how many times I've had to go to the comments to see if anyone commented on when the Laphroaig showed up when I'm watching older episodes?
Love slow and low, if you can find the 100 proof rye one....
A lot of movie theaters use peanut oil for popping corn or at least they use to, that's why the one probably smells like buttered popcorn
Thinking I would like the sped up Titan video if it was Pitch adjusted to regular speed
Pro tip. Get Mother Earth's brewing peanut butter beer, skrewball and Jamison and make a Pb carbomb!
The sped up titan of whiskey music made me laugh really hard for some reason
Can you review Glenlivet 12 Double Oak? I'm loving it, curious about your thoughts.
I’m not 100% sure, but I believe that it’s the same as the Glenlivet 12 that they reviewed early on in the channel. The 12 Double oak is a redesigned label.

That frisky monkey bottle is very close to home on the monkey shoulder design
This whole video:
Daniel: "Smell my fingers!"
Obviously you can do anything to Rex now that Delilah got to him!
I got a bottle of Screwball in january. My first thoughts were that it was WAY too sweet, and that it might be good over ice cream. Haven't opened it back up since then.
I almost dig the speed metal version of the titan song.
Either way, it's friggin EPIC. Perfect choice.
Crowded Barrel should make a whiskey-gin!
I worked at a WB liquor store in San Antonio Texas and we sold a LOT of screwball and PB&W “whiskey”
Skrewball is rather interesting. On a hunch I mixed a little with some Knob Creek Rye and the after taste is pure waffle cone. A very boozy waffle cone.
Idk why, but the titain theme song gives me goose bumps
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Screwball!!!! It is so delicious!!!
I like the rock & rye. A want to be pre-made old fashioned.
Gota say I love screwball but I love peanut butter too. Let it sit in ice for a minute or so and its good to go.
I don't really like sweet drinks but I wouldn't mind a little peanut butter flavored whiskey in my coffee. I wouldn't put it in my locally roasted expensive bourbon barrel aged coffee, but I would definitely slip some in to my Dunkin brew.
I need a .gif of Rex saying “The circumference of that!”
thing is.. i 've the titan song now on my phone and in my car i'm listening to it full blast in the morning on my way to work
I’m not a flavored whisky fan. But... Screwball in hot chocolate or ice Cream. Yummy!!
I’m an expert in marijuana and wine but now I am reborn whiskey man
Peanut butter whiskey + cranberry juice (unsweetened) pb&j in a glass
I tried the screwball because I was curious what a savory flavor like peanut butter would do to a whiskey flavored thing. It was awful it had that super sickly sweet flavor, along with a flavor of I got stale nutter butter cookies.
Reece's creamer and peanut butter whiskey in coffee is yummy!
What language does Rex think they speak in Scotland?
Evan Wiliiams Honey is my junk food version of liquor
Put a little salt in the screwball, it cuts the sweetness down a little bit. This has been my dad's preferred method of drinking it since xmas.
We make shots with screwball and southern comfort and call em PB&J shots
