I worked on a remodel for a house Jerry Seinfeld bought. I have to say the man is a class act. He flew in one weekend and catered a high end lunch for everyone on the job, about 20 people. Jerry and his entourage waited for us to be served first and then ate. He mingled with the crowd like they were all his friends. I watched him as he talked with people and recognized the mannerisms I saw on his T.V. series. It looks like he was actually just being Jerry on his show. Great man!
Very cool story
I imagine that is rare. I don't know that I'd do that were I in his position. Very cool. Although in hindsight, he may have wanted you guys to do a good job.
Cool
AWESOME!!
He was looking for material!
What a beautiful 10 minutes of television. Julia at her most charming and radiant, Dave firing off one-liners at breakneck speed, and Jerry Seinfeld not only making a surprise cameo but SINGING! Put this baby in the time capsule.
Plus, Julia coming back, as quick, to Dave's remarks. Most guests could not keep up; Julia was as quick, if not quicker. I loved Julia's story of her high school reunion and questioning whether one of the girls (women), actually was a high school classmate.
The Seinfeld guest appearance was done with charm, wit and candor.
@@jkrasney1 o
Very well said. Julia is an all-timer IMO; she is just the total package - whip smart with a quick wit, charming, beautiful, and naturally very funny. And now I learn she is an exceptional vocal talent as well!
You nailed it with your comment. Well done. It was a great 10 minutes. She’s a gem!
That long pause that left us wondering if Jerry would POSSIBLY even TRY to sing .... I was pretty sure he would not. And then he did. Got the job done, better than I could have. Not an excellent voice like Julia's but well done anyway.
Julia is stunning. She's original and authentic. She's reason for a crush and cause for a smile. It was great to hear her sing.
She really is perfect for a lot of guys. This one included

I can believe I only saw that now, in November 2023. I love all of them: David, Julia and Jerry. The best era of television.

@@si12volt1 I agree.. he worked hard for the money. Sadly he passed a few years ago.
@@immortaltyger1569 I believe the school she went to here in the states was actually kind of like FAME. It was an all girl prep school but it is based around the arts. Acting, dancing, singing, music are a main part of the curriculum.. kind of like a high school juliards.
Her eyes just sparkle when she gets happy/excited. Same when she was on Seinfeld, especially when she was getting the best of Jerry or George in a scene. Absolutely love her!
That's the Booger Sugar. Hahahha!!

She does have unbelievable pressence and star power.

I still watch Seinfeld and love it just as much if not more. Such a successful sitcom.
A lovely show. I love broad comedy. I love the laugh track on it, it's to remind you when to laugh.
I watched Seinfeld every single day of the year 365 days a year. I love the show my favorite and Julia really really sang well. Holy cow. She’s got a great voice.
Letterman is correct that it's going to be watched for generations to come, like the Andy Griffith show.
@@skat1140 ha what a tool
I watch Seinfeld daily either before bed or just to have on in the background but it's always on in my house
Jerry's acknowledgement of the wide gulf between his own talents as a comedian/writer and the talents of dedicated actors/performers, and his willingness to mine it for humor by playing a fool, has always been one of his greatest strengths
Interesting. Bright observation.
he is a support actor
the love pouring out of his eyes when supporting his friends while on stage with them is his greatest strength IMO
He did a great job actually
@@lespetitszoiseaux3774 you can see that they are good friends

"We'll be right back with Mitch Hedberg" right at the end. Whole show filled with legends.
Her confidence is off the charts.
Most trust fund babies think their farts don't stink.
Being born a billionaire must help with that, knowing you are pretty much a god among humans.
@@timdaugherty4014 She's never acted that way. She actually presents as very down to earth and approachable.
And she is. I've met some "celebrities" a few times who are true A...u know. But back like 20 years ago my wife and I were having dinner at a restaurant (we were still dating back then) and there she was with a group of friends. I absolutely love JLD and I'm not the type of guy that sees someone famous and bothers them 'cause I understand these people want to enjoy a normal life as much as possible. So I was like Oh man I'd like to go to talk to her but I don't want to be one of those morons and my wife finally said, go...'cause if you don't you're not gonna let it go. So I went, didn't ask for a picture or anything just said hi, I just need to tell you I just love you and I love your work. She smiled said well hello thank you very much and saw my wife across the room and she said does you're girlfriend know you have a thing for me? and laughed. The whole thing took about a minute and then I went back to my table. I was in the bathroom when she left but she actually said bye to my wife and to cap it all off when I asked for the check, the waiter says oh it's already taken care of. I would say she's more than approachable, a class act I would say. @@mlstovall00

Truely a radiant woman. And very attractive to boot!
The Elaine dance was classic. I would give her an Oscar award just for that classic dance she invented. I m going to ask my wife to try it tonight
All the seinfeld show cast was perfectly chosen. Everyone is amazing on their act.
She's an absolute 10/10 in every sense of the phrase.
Was going to comment saying the same thing! 😀
Yeah she's an absolute babe. Aniston got all of the attention in the 90's but JLD was the true Queen

How could you not love Julia.
Talent and charm from another era. How beautiful, humble and smart she is, my god.
Humble? Hardly!
She's delightful, so spontaneous. I had forgotten how much I liked her.
She is so bright and beautiful.
Spontaneous she acts surprised at everything in a delightfully phony show biz way ofc but for every question asked, she raises her eyebrows & kick starts a laugh as if that question was so out of realm. Extremely talented but annoying.
she's unforgettable. what's the matter with you?

Amazing! And at the end Dave says "We'll be right back with Mitch Hedberg". Man, what a gem of an episode this was!
I read this comment and thought I wrote this! How awesome must it have been being backstage for this show?

@@VisualTreats4U exactly what im thinking. mitch was probably timid like he usually was. wheres that clip?
I think he got bumped by Madonna when she stayed too long one time. He joked he got paid to eat cantaloupe backstage. And he was alright with that.
Agreed!
Jerry's great strength in Seinfeld (as with his singing here) was his ability to poke fun at his own lack of acting talent. In the early days of Seinfeld, there was no shortage of criticism that he "couldn't act" and the fact they then worked that into the pilot he and George made for NBC was gold Jerry, gold! 3 great actors and 2 great comedic writers made for an amazing series.

Well on the show everyone was actually extremely repulsive. Imagine having any one of them in your life that you have to deal with every single day.
Just don’t ask her to dance!!
Well the bloopers are part of the Seinfeld dvd package and she is so cute and funny there.
Seinfeld is one show I never understood the popularity of.
And I watched it quite often, as a child - being we didn’t have cable, though, got that channel.
I always found the character beyond obnoxious.
And I know they were meant to be, though - it wasn’t my thing, no matter how much I tried.
Which, is probably why I’ve never been a fan of JLD, in general.
However, she seems quite charming, here, I’ll admit.
As a nearly 40yr old, I am willing to give the show a second chance, when I get the time - being I am sure much more of it will make sense to me, vs. back when I was a teen.
@@XOChristianaNicole i loved it as a teen as well. Maybe it's just not for you. Seinfeld is quite divisive.
It's 2023 and I am seeing this for the 1st time. That ending was very satisfying. Also that ending, I never knew she had that level of talent. Awesome!

One of my two favorite all-time actors, the show was brilliant unrivaled, and she has a damn good voice!!
Beautiful and charming lady, extraordinary actress and comedian, and has been a valuable and eloquent voice for some of the causes she supports.

Hard to believe such a down to earth, warm, fun, beautiful and talented woman is one of the wealthiest on this planet in comparison to so many others that are the opposite

JASON ALEXANDER (GEORGE) ACTUALLY WAS A BROADWAY STAR BEFORE SEINFELD AND CERTAINLY CAN SING TOO….

I wasn't expecting Jerry to sing! Lol! I thought he was going to just say, "Julia, what are you doing?"

Man I miss Dave so much. Always great interviews almost every night. Such a lucky man to sit & chat with the beautiful Julia Louis Dreyfus
Larry David is a genius for his Seinfeld writing and a man ahead of his time. I’m in my 70’s and watched all 9 seasons and since it’s been so long ago, it was like watching it the first time and really appreciating the great acting and writing. Fantastic job by everyone involved!!!
Great comments for a great show. I agree
fantastic must see for Seinfeld lovers
This counts as having appeared in a musical on Broadway for both of them.
Never saw this one. Amazing. All of them. I miss Letterman. And I totally didn't expect Jerry to come out and sing with Julia. What a great bunch. All three are so talented. And seem like genuine decent people. Letterman has an interview with Julia on his My next guest needs no introduction. It's a good interview. 👍 ☮️✌️
The end of My Next Guest w Julia is one of my fave JLD lines. I won’t spoil it!
She is one of those women who becomes more desirable as they age. She is about 40 here. So gorgeous and such a wonderful sense of humor. There is not a 20 year old on the planet I would take over her. Not even today at 62.
Without her there would not be a show, she is by far the most talented of them all
I think it was truly an ensemble cast. All four of them needed to be there to create the vibe and set up the deliveries of the others, IMO>
She's the only reason I ever watched Seinfeld. Amazing comic actor.
idk man, the regulars and even the actors that had oonly andepisode or a few appearances were pretty legendary.
The Julia episode in the new season of "My Next Guest Is...." is wonderful.
