Use pocket french doors
Trent and Allie I got 80 points for bowling. Congratulations to me 🎳🎳
@@jswife6660 Nice! That's what I was thinking. Maybe with frosted glass panel insets for a grand spa look.
@Trent&Allie you guys never talk about Mountain Made Vans anymore. Are your two employees still building vans?
It's about time for that Moose to subscribe because he watches Trent & Allie daily. Great progress in spite of daylight savings time.
Best line of the video, "My dear, bring me my vacuum." 🙂
😂
Every time I see Grayson leaning against the wall with his foot up on one step, he reminds me of a real cowboy leaning up against the saloon door. 😉 Give that fella a horse & a cowboy hat, and he’s ready for a remake of the John Wayne movie Rio Bravo. Loving your channel! Great family & friends all coming together to get the job done. 💕👍🏻🇨🇦
Nice to meet Trent’s Aunt.
Allie, you have the right idea. That mess is a trip hazard and a fire hazard. Safety demands that you clean up as you go.
There's something so relieving and refreshing about vacuuming up a construction site. I had laminate floors installed in my condo years ago and every day after the guys left I dragged my shop vac out and cleaned up their mess. The second day when they showed up and found a clean place to work, even their chop saw and table were vacced, they were surprised. They pointed out that they were just going to mess it up again, but I just told them my vac had a big tank.
I agree! Clean up after the day’s work & there’s less to clean up at the end! It also keeps the equipment in good condition.
Trent's Aunt sounds like her mother and has mannerisms like her mother. I just adore Trent's grandparents.
I lo
I like Trents grandparents also
ALLY IS NOT WRONG! It all goes together 🥰
Daylight savings sucks! Leave it one way or the other, Don't keep changing it back and forth. But even though you're lack of sleep, your building looks amazing.
I just love how Trent and Brandon are such a well oiled machine when they work together. Both doing such great work.
Best buddies for years .
Your progress is looking good . Grayson Brandon and Trent great team work . Allie the cleaning machine. Missed seeing Leo.
Lol
My son's an electrician and has worked in some beautiful antebellum mansions in our area. They mostly have pocket doors. I'm happy that they're back in vogue. Your house is going to be amazing.
Before drywall, mows the time to put diatomaceous earth in the walls, to keep critters and pests out!
Smart idea. I just ran out and springs coming. Always keep de around! Pets, bugs, me, garden etc.
I too would cleanup every evening to not only sleep better, but to also start the day with a clean and organized work space!
My grandmother used every pot and pan in the kitchen. My grandfather cleaned up after her as grandma would have to make a phone call. It was a joke in the family. Loved my time in the kitchen with granddad.
😂 that is cute
That really tall bedroom ceiling is a heating nightmare. Very energy inefficient to heat that giant empty space.
So glad to see heated floors going in. 😊
As a French speaking person I can tell you that pocket doors are the way to go. And in Quebec we did not have much snow this year. I think I know where it all went 😁. Hope it melts soon!
Allie, I think you're still doing all the editing and just have to give you a virtual high five for doing such a good job of it - all those subtleties like light ramps into background music etc... great job...
So funny watching Trent and Brandon whistling together walking in. Thought for sure they would break in to song.
Hmmm... I always learned that the Chef's job is NOT done until ALL the pots/pans/dishes are cleaned up and put away. Much later I learned that it is just good manners to help clean up a dinner that you were invited to... insisting after the initial refusal. I think that's crazy... you ask if you can help and are denied, then that should be the end of it, but some places/cultures maintain that you should insist on helping in the clean up even after your offer is initially refused.
I hope Auntie enjoyed her visit and that you are drinking up the generational interactions with Leo - those are precious memories and moments that need recorded with pictures/videos. Great progress on the build.
when i built my house i would work from daylight until about noon or 1 pm then quit during the heat of the day. and Shellee would come out and clean it. then i would come back about 5 pm and have to find everything to work until dark. until we got it closed in and i would work on the house and about 3 am she would come in and clean it spotless. so every time i worked on my house it was clean. i was lucky that way.
You are missing the few thousand feet of ethernet cable for all the different usage, including wifi outspot, camera, wireless access point, outdoor starlink or other outdoor PointToPoint AP... You are missing a lot of wiring ;)
I converted my French doors to pocket doors and it was AWESOME!
I'm a Canadian in b.c.and wishing for snow. All of our rivers are drying up and our mountains barley have any snow on them and fire season is just around the corner so yup a little scared here.I had to evacuate in 2021 from fire so we will see this year if i have to do it again.
Wishing you all the best during the upcoming season. Glad you were safe last year. We spent a lot of time indoors due to Canadian wildfires and my heart went out to everyone affected by the fires. Be safe.
I’m in B.C. as well and while our winter has passed our snow pack was low. Maybe next year 😊
@@beany530 keeping everything crossed here to.
I'm in Rochester ny and our snow has been extremely low, I mean no plowing no snow blowing. I keep wa
iting , winter weather watches and nothing. I have no idea what to expect for summer...
@@barbarahasenauer2630 me neither hun.
Brandon and Grayson are pocket door professionals now, way to go guys. 👏
I wholeheartedly agree with you about changing times twice a year. Common west coast states, get it together and stop changing time from standard to daylight. I live in BC and our provincial government is just waiting for you to agree to stop the madness. The Yukon territory has already changed and stopped the madness for their citizens.
I love the pocket doors! Frees up so much wall space
It's looking good in there. I truly can't wait for the finished product, hopefully before baby number 2. I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, the baby or the house. Thanks for sharing. Love yah Nancy
Top notch teamwork. Like a well oiled machine. Great job everyone!! Great video Allie ❤️
Wow. Watching the vacuuming was so satisfying. It's really coming together,
You are so right about the "packaging." More than half my rubbish is wrapping. GSD, mostly paper, but still rubbish. Trent, you are a lovely husband. I'm sure Alli agrees with me.
It makes such a difference when all it cleared up and swept.
Good morning! Allie, how about a lighted vanity mirror? 😁
Ich freue mich auf jede neue Folge😊
I‘m glad to see every new episode😊
My niece is also pregnant. You are about a month ahead of her Allie. So wonderful to see the progress on your house. We live in South Africa. I love love love your show. ❤🧡💛
We’re getting snow Sunday, early estimates are between 6 to 12 inches.
Can’t wait for Dean to come and install his magic.
Missed Leo today!!
Always Fun at your place!! Thanks
Coming along guys! Can’t wait for next video! Thanks!😍
T&A, just like there is no crying in baseball, there is no giving up in construction!!!! And never, ever forget……….. BOBS YOUR UNCLE
😂😂😂😂😂
Love y’all & it’s coming along fabulously! Can’t wait to see it finished & the next addition 😉😁
Spring is here on the plains. Can’t wait for your house addition to be completed.
I love ❤️ watching all the improvements your making on your house 🏠
Good work getting the wiring done. the pocket doors are going to free up so much more space
It's good to see all the progress made in addition to the house.
Love your content, keep it up!
Good Morning Trent and Ali!! ☕️ ✨️🌞
Good morning, have a nice day!
Good Morning Good People! Have a Great Weekend Everyone 😇😇
Warm greetings from Köln, Germany!
Good afternoon from Kent uk. ❤
Morning from NSW Australia! 🙏🏽❤️
😀 Allie, those of us who've watched you guys for a long time know how excited and happy you were to be able to vacuum,
great job, and always great editing, filming etc
Trent, I look at what you, Brandon, and Grayson have built and it's incredible. When you and Brandon started it was just dirt, rocks, and trees.
Wonderful teamwork everyone ❤️😊
I love pocket doors. They don't get in the way. I moved to Az in 2020. No more DST! 🎶💃
Kudos to Brandon for his Johnny on the spot support. Right there with the drill and screw to prevent the cut wood from falling out. He swooped in like a hawk! Brandon and Trent work together like a fine greased machine- or at least it appears they do.
👍👍
Way to rock that shop vac!
Wisconsin is also has a winter weather advisory right now! Up to 5 inches of wet heavy snow.
My kids still live in Wisconsin. I heard they could get 8". My daughter has to drive to Madison for school. She has all her raised beds garden ready to plant. It's been so abnormally warm there.
Great job, Trent!! It's coming together beautifully 😍
Beautiful snow falling!!
GOOD JOB!
My French doors are only 77 years old but there’s so much history wrapped in what they have opened to. I looked up the name and even though they were widely used in France in the 17th century they originated in Italy and Greece. Never knew that so thank you for the history behind the doors.
You’ve also opened my eyes to three places I need to put in pocket doors. These old houses with small rooms don’t need traditional door blocking much needed space! Thank you for the great idea.
I am in total awe over every aspect of your beautiful work! Have a restful weekend. You’ll be a busy family of four soon❤️❤️
I don't give up watching you guys!
Vaccuming up the sawdust in all those nooks n crannies, is so satisfying for me! Thank you Allie for your hard work and deication at putting this all together to make such enjoyable videos!
Team work makes the Dream work.
Love Trent's haircut recently. Keep going to that same barber. Really. Best cut in all the years I've been watching.
You've got this !
It is going to be so cool when Leo and your new little one will be able to watch what his parents did to make your beautiful home.
How much does Trent love it when he's up there working on the scaffold and four sets of eyes are standing below watching? 👀👀👀👀😇🤣😅
I felt for a moment that I was watching our city workers - One guy working and 4 others standing around just watching. LOL jkjk Your Auntie seems adorable, like all of your relatives we've seen so far. You have great families, as is yours!
I love looking at the pictures of the snow but glad we don’t have that in Texas. Love y’all ♥️♥️♥️
Happy snowy day! With snow being a large part of your building content you should change your graphic to have 1/2 snow covered mountains!
When we built our house, I was given a timeline and a suggestion to put my spouse on a 'decision schedule'. If she hadn't made a decision by the deadline on whatever IT was, IT would be beige and placed where it was placed in the plans with no changes. It was stressful on her but she did well. Much less stress on the builder and myself.
I did find myself making scale models of furniture and rooms to allow her to move thigs around and see how it would work.
This comment made my morning how adorable!
That was nice of u to make allowances. Happy wife, happy life. 😊
That sounds so condescending, I'm sure your spouse appreciated your consideration. 😉
Good morning trent, Allie Leo and team happy Friday
Fairly new to your channel.. but have binged most of your building videos. I love them!!!!! I love your relationship and the way you and the crew work so well together! Leo and the pups make them complete!!!
Welcome
Go back to when they were traveling in South America before the china virus!
Welcome……..it’s one of my favourites! ❤️
Where I live in the UK, we've had so much rain this winter. If it was snow, it would have equalled 13 feet. But only rain. We hardly ever get snow in the south.
Daylight savings messes me up too!
Happy weekend everyone! Another great video and as always, brings smiles to a Friday morning to start the weekend off right!! (can we get a sneak peak to a due date for the little blessing to join the family soon😊?) Hope all have an amazingly blessed weekend!!❤
Mo Dean is back soon! Thanks for sharing yall. Much love. God bless!!
Love pocket doors! In the last few houses that we’ve renovated, we've added lots of pocket doors.
Good quality kits and installation are essential!
Enjoy!
Over always loved pocket doors but they do require a lot of additional planning and prep work
I love seeing the snow. But gosh! You’ve got to learn to share! Texas
It’s amazing to me how fast you guys do stuff and of course I realize we are behind to where you actually are. I am excited to see this finished. Thank you for sharing this with us your all truly wonderful people.💜☀️
my 8 yr old was shouting at the screen” BE CAREFUL ON THAT SCAFOLD TRENT” 😂😂😂❤
Good morning from Wyoming!
I can’t wait to see the view from all the windows once everything turns green again!
impressed with your patience and diligence trent...its lookin great guys...
You still need air and fire gap seal caulk.
Good morning Trent and Allie!!!! Hope you're having a great morning.
Ok you are not using commom sense when you put a ladder on top of the scaffolding, you have a family to take care Trent!!!!!!!!
You open up the doors and you get whiteout. Are we going back in time?😂
Whew! Another one in the box! You guys have so much energy! Remember to tags good care of yourselves.
Love when I wake up and remember that it’s Trent and Allie day 😃💕
I have trouble adjusting to losing an hour of sleep with the time change too. The house is looking amazing! (So is Allie's tummy, lol). Sending you virtual hugs from New Jersey!
The Universal Question : How many plug outlets do I need?
The Universal Answer : TWO MORE...
It is moving along fast. It will be cool to see the drywall go up !
Yes, and Trent's favorite part: taping and mudding. 😂
Good evening from Kolkata, 🇮🇳 Trent, Alley and team. You are still having so much snow. The house extension is coming along so well.
🇨🇦👋 Oh I remember all this, as we were building! Including the different progression style! 😂 I so remember my shop vac was my best friend - still is. 🤣 This is a treat to be remember the excitement.
You guys got more snow than Canada all winter I am near Toronto. Mind you today we are getting a snow storm right now but seen more green grass here this winter. Love ❤️ watching you guys great build coming along
To those saying no body works except Trent please remember Trent is “star” and boss. So of course he is going to be shown more than the others. You can listen and hear other things go on in the back while Trent is explaining to us. They aren’t doing nothing!
🎉❤🎉
You will never give up!🌻
When you get out the vacuum you know it's getting close. Grayson is getting such an education and makes a great addition to Trent and Brandon. The addition is taking shape, and I can't wait for drywall installation. Great job guys! (Allie, you're one of the guys)
I think I enjoy Allie's cleaning as much as the building!
Looking good looking good looking good!!! Missed seeing Leo and the pups but there is always next time.
Thank God us here in AZ. do not observe Daylight Savings Time. Me southern AZ.
But you still have to live in Arizona with Kari...ugh.
Good morning, everyone!!!! I have 2 pocket doors in the house we just bought, and I love them so much. I forget about them sometimes, lol.
Are your ‘pocket doors’ what we call sliding doors??? And what is HVAC that Dean puts in your home??
The house is coming along nicely!! Are you getting someone in to do dry wall or is Trent doing that??!
Great progress guys!! Have a great weekend!
HVAC is heating and air system.,...I think😂Sliding doors are usually connected to patio or outdoor doors, pocket doors recede into the wall and used for inside structure to bedrooms and bathrooms and even closets. Hope you have an awesomely blessed day and hope I haven't confused you😂
Regular sliding doors are usually visible even when open. Pocket doors are a kind of sliding door where, when you open the door, it disappears into a "pocket" in the door frame and wall.
And yes, HVAC stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. It refers to the whole system that moves air through the house: the air conditioning compressor outside, the air intake pipes that pull fresh air into the system from outside, the ducts in the walls and ceilings that direct the air to the furnace for heat and from the furnace to the vents in individual rooms around the home, etc. That's why, in the video before this one, Trent and Dean were figuring out where all the floor and wall vents were going to wind up (based on the structure that's been built, where the joists run, etc., and how that affects where they can run the ducts) and marking those locations.
