Hi Szilard! I got a beautiful crosscut slab but the drying sticks left some lighter colored marks on the surface. I thought they were on the surface. I went through it with a belt sander at 40 grit... got it flat and smooth. But i cant seem to remove the marks from the sticks! Any idea what to do aside of the option to take off a cm of the top? (Not a real option)
Will they still show after applying some oil?

hullion hi. Yes I found this problem too!
On some species shows more than others. I don’t think you need to take of an entire cm maybe just a couple of mm.

You definitely need to invest in some overhead pully's and guide systems. Yes, you're young and strong now but as you get older, that will change. But your 'want' to do the work will not change. Just think about it.....

Could you buy an old forklift to help you move the logs. I know here in Canada sometimes you can find the cheap at auctions.

Just get a log ( possibly less then 5meters diameter 😆) around 40-50cm
Reasonably straight and I’ll cut it up for you!

Ezt minden óvodás tudja. Teliholdnál a mezőn a vállad felett háromszor hátraköpve meg kell lengetni a szöghúzót.
