    I think a massive one is when you have driver 1 ahead and driver 2 behind, keep driver 2 as always defend, this will increase the gap between all the cars behind your driver 1 so he only needs to focus on being aggressive, pretty much same, this will help massively when pitting as your driver 1 will most likely keep his position

      @@kieranlewis7300Not necessarily. You can do this method to create a gap in the midfield too. I use this strat all the time as Williams

    Not sure if I’m right for doing this but I drain my fuel early on to make the car lighter. Usually get it to -3.0. Then I set it to medium to start getting it back into the green. Does anyone else do this?

    • @DizzyRL
      @DizzyRL 8 місяців тому

      Honestly that doesn’t seem like a bad idea except for later on when you want to use the fuel to push. But if your the much lower on fuel then you should be really quick

    The thing I don't like about this game is the tutorial doesn't really explain anything every well. You get this woman called Audrey who basically talks at you, and seems very fond of her own voice, waffling on about the screen your on... But unlike other management games where it takes you step by step through the process of, say, hiring and firing driviers, scouting, developing the cars, etc, she just says the equivalent of "This is a pit crew management screen, here you can train your pitcrew... blah, blah, blah... Oh and there's a prize at the end of the year for the fastest pit stop!", and then she shuts up and leaves you to try to figure it out.
    If anyone from FDEV happens to see this, how about a tutorial that actually teaches you how things work. Click here to develop a part, select how many engineers, now select your development path... etc, etc.

    I bought 2022, and whilst it was fun to play initially, it quickly became monotonous to play through each weekend, with very little in the way of variety. A lot of the key features behind the scenes were also poorly implemented. Driver transfers would happen immediately rather than at the end of the season. You could only recruit a young driver as a reserve rather than build a young driver academy team. I know F2 is featured in the game, but what really is there that’s worth another £50 this time round?

    • @SimRacingSetups
      @SimRacingSetups  Рік тому +3

      It is very similar. If you didn’t enjoy last years game, you’ll feel very much the same this time round!

      @vjc3818 Рік тому +1

      I'm not sure why he didn't mention it but the game has made lots of improvements, idk if they're enough for you.
      Regarding what you mentioned, driver contracts can now be signed for next year, and not immediately. F2 and F3 drivers are all simulated, and you can view the results of their individual sessions. No young driver academy unfortunately

    How to quickly convert dry setup to wet setup? Is it the same as F1 22 or no?

    • @skyeracer9712
      @skyeracer9712 Рік тому

      It's not. It all depends on the driver's setup confidence, so no worries.

    • @SimRacingSetups
      @SimRacingSetups  Рік тому +1

      Try not to push too hard with the pace commands and you can also ask your driver to cool the car and drive in clean air which helps

  • @skyeracer9712
    @skyeracer9712 Рік тому +1

    I played F1 Manager 22, and it was amazing.
    This game in particular has many things that destroy it in my opinion. For example, the minimal lifespan of parts limits the distance I can drive with this part, and I need to pay performance to increase this durability. And I can see once the minimal lifespan is exceeded, the part breaks and we have to retire the car.
    The development plans for drivers are also garbage, because I prefer going my own way with driver development. With older drivers like Lewis Hamilton, I would put all the points into pace to avoid him dropping back in terms of pace. Well, I can't do that this time because I need to pick a development plan, and I don't know if there are plans that solely focus on increasing pace.
    Other than that, all new additions for the 2023 game just add up to the formula that was already perfect in 2022, and while some do improve the game, some destroy it completely, like this minimal lifespan for parts.

    The pause feature is kinda cheating but I guess if you want more of a challenge just don't use It.....pause feature hurts your skill at the game and getting better and being ready for a online mode if they ever add one

      thankfully we can play how we want :) if you don't want to pause then don't :) but for those of us fast-forwarding thru the races pause is almost a must to give you time to do stuff that you could do during real time speed, but i don't have time to be sitting for 8 hours to do 1 race weekend LOL.

    • @JSAVGA
      @JSAVGA 9 місяців тому +4

      In real life, you also delegate most of the responsibilities to your respective experts. You do not manage every aspect of the car, tires, drivers, etc. You hire people to do that and then manage those people. So yes, pause may not be available in real life, but this is not real life and you're taking on so many more roles to the point pause is needed.
