Playing F1 Manager for the very first time as a new F1 fan since the end of last season. I'm very bad at racing myself so I thought why not pick this game up. Managing AlphaTauri, mainly because I want to keep De Vries, being a Dutchman myself. Totally botched his strategy the first race lol but at least my boy Yuki got a solid P13, I'll probably get the hang of this game later on, loving it so far! Thanks for the tips & tricks!
Glad you are enjoying it! You will find yourself picking up strategies and ideas as you go, it will be super rewarding. All the best with Alpha Tauri :)
I also picked alphatauri beacuse i am polish and they are sponsored by a polish brand. I decided to pick the hardest difficulty beacuse yes and im in baku with debt
not discussed in tyre temps is the driver command to avoid high risk kerbs. this drastically reduces the amount of tyre temp and tyre wear at the cost of lap time. in practice sessions (since you're not competing for fastest pace) you can elect to avoid high risk kerbs and drive in clean air, turn you ERS to recharge, fuel usage to conserve, and you will have a significant reduction to your PU wear (just keep tyre temp to avoid your driver from flying off track).
Got it this weekend and the game seems fun. But so far I noticed quite a bit of predictability. 4 races in, it’s always the same teams in the points, I always qualify on the same positions and rately anything happens during race. Also, the setup, acclimatisation and car part percentages do not seem to have an actual impact. My drivers had various percentages over the grand prixs so far but they always ended up in the same positions. still fun though as I want to see long term strategy pan out.
I think this year's game is more difficult than last year's. I am in my second season as McLaren team head and only narrowly escaped being fired - twice. By this time last year, "my" Williams was a solid points scorer, capable of podiums.
Played f1 manager 23 for the first time, being a Tifosi i chose Ferrari but mismanaged it the furst time, then in the second try i got my first podium in Bahrain and some decent results like 2 pole positions, sadly i had to restart and i am waiting to continue with all your tips
I just started playing this and really enjoy it so far other than the random huge jumps in time. Was showing an interval time to Ocon of 2.5 in front and Gasly behind with 10.2. Then in two corners Gasly passes me and Ocon is now 20 seconds ahead of me? Then just sat and watched all the interval times on the board just start randomly shifting super high, like 34.5 seconds, then 2, then 30 then 5. Or it just flat out showing an interval time of 1 second to car behind and there is not even a car visible behind me. Anyone else have this issue?
Hi aftrr motorsport manager pc i dived in this, Have question what effort the ai do freepractise? I play rb and in free practise iam a lot faster but in qually and race ferrari is faster, so from 1.5sec faster iam .300 till .500 slower in qually and race.
No problem for quali, finishing P8/P9 as Alpha Tauri with Alonso. But when the race stars, 3/4 laps and we are 18 or 19th.... And can't come back from that. What can i do about that.
Just a guess... are the tires too hot? Don't select the aggressive option in overtake and defense. Your car obviously has the pace (given the quali results).
I played last years game and i thought it was easy but this year i struggle A LOT with tyre themps in the race, if i bring the pace down the themps are quite good but i loose a lot of laptime, so any tips on that?
The driver confidence is too much of an influence on this years game. If you start on pole and lose 4 positions you will end up running 15-20th by the end of the race cos of the confidence is low although you’re in the best car on the grid
Me too ....boy it's hard because Albon and Sargent are doo doo on a stick I'll get a good practice, good qualify with albon like 8th and he'll hit something Sargent tears everything up and is costing me a fortune
@@donalda8017 I brought back Sargent from the reserve, the thing is Sargent will developed better than Albon in the long run, You have to mix max everything, First thing is first, you need to increase the pilot simulation level to its Max (basically the drivers will get more experience and learn skills on the program you need. I put Sargent on weather control, this will ensure hes able to handle the car well (since hes lacking in that department) he went from 71 overall to 75 in 5 races so hes getting better, Albon went from 80 to 81 in the same period..... I also made sure the Race Engineer start focusing on composure and communication, since Logan is suffering from low morale and low aggressiveness, he need a good moral support, in 5 races it went from low affinity to great affinity. Hes constantly landing in mid field between 10-15th, he was a backliner lmao. By the end of the season I say Logan should be able to be better than Albon, we will see, I'm currently stading in 5th for constructor fighting against Alpine to keep my position as Ocon And gasly are better than Albon and Logan for now.
@@donalda8017I just had both Albon and logan both crash out in practice . I had to put together brand new cars for them both to crash out again in the race . It’s not looking good for Williams with me at the helm 😅
Yep there are sometimes a crazy amount of crashes. They probably need to adjust the probability a little bit, even if it brings some surprises to the game
Something i love about this year. Is that you can sign a contract extension for a pending free agent and have it come into effect the next season.

Try do some intense designs early on helps out longterm and get the factory and design centre upgraded to stage 3 atleast as early as possible! Enjoy
Had to fire De Vries after Monaco. He f@&€s up way too much 😂
@@samrollup Yeah... Crash damage becomes a very costly thing with De Vries around

I simply fell in love with the game! Great video man! Very helpful with a few things that were hurting my progress.

I think this a possitive step, gives you something a bit more challenging to work towards!

is that giovinazzi racing for ferrari at 0:25??
Yes

Sargents already gone by 2 engines and gearbox and the 2nd ers at 30% in 4 races
Man’s the new Latifi In my save 😭
He's cost me a warehouse and a half of parts ...he wrecks everything
And I resigned him for 2 years lol

the pace advantage you gain just staying in attack full time is enough to outweigh the increased tyre temps and wear atm

5 races in and 2 of them had 5 cars out by the end
Yes got 7 DNF in mclaren career mode in Australia season one first points
How come the drivers picture are the drivers, but on F1 23 they look like...ehh not the drivers 😅
Driver confidence is not new lol.
It is completely different from last year, now it's evolving during the race.
I think he said thr 5 step mini game part is new
