Such an informative episode for a traveler! I really enjoyed the travel luggage demo and the Philly train station details. It is so much fun being a tourist in a familiar city - no work pressures or time crunches.
But muh resale value and muh iNvEsTmEnT wAtChEs and muh _less than 1% year ROI._ There are watches under a $1,000 that are very supreme and _literally_ do anything that the stainless steel luxury watches _WIS_ fawn over can do; I have a hard time justifying the purchase of a luxury watch when the marginal benefits are so slim.

Dear TGV, I've been enjoying you channel for about 3 years or so now and I just wanted to say thank you again for an absolutely fantastic place to watch UA-cam. You're always classy, have great content and I just enjoy the things you bring to the channel. (Watches and other things, like the luggage). I enjoy watching so much. Thank you and I wish you all the best. Cheers
Usually I prefer to just get down to the list of watches, forwarding as necessary, but I didn't this time. I loved how the watches helped tell your story, I was glued to the very end. Great video TGV!
Packing cubes were a lifesaver when i was backpacking in hostels. you can unpack your bag, without unpacking your bag. and just stack them up next to your bed causing no mess.
How the short overview of your travel collection turned into a guided tour of NYC... It is much appreciated! I also like your case and travel cubes, however I don't travel by train or plane nearly enough to pick them up for myself. It's almost a shame!

Very well-made video! I am lucky enough to live 40 minutes away from magical NYC, but I still don’t get there as often as I would like. This video makes me feel like I am in the heart of Manhattan. Excellent job as always.
A great return to form -- and hopefully prelude to the future -- for the channel, and a hugely enjoyable visit to NYC via your discerning eye for art, design, and the weirdness of the City. From a one time very frequent traveler, great respect for the efficiency and organization of your packing. My travel tip -- if they are not too funky inside, pack your new bluetooth speaker or other objects that need to be protected inside your sneakers for space efficiency. I have traveled to alot of challenging locals (e.g., Iraq, Sudan) for work and usually don't take the more dear watches -- love my Citizen titanium Promaster Diver and Yema Spacegraf Zero G as light, tough and, legible low-profile travel watches.
Totally awesome video.!! I truly felt like I was taking an actual vacation just looking at your well edited and photographed video. I even feel guilty now for not picking up half of the tab!
For travel: - If I’m going to the beach, I grab my TAG Heuer 2000 auto. - If I’m going hiking & camping, I wear my Casio Pathfinder. - I really like my Squale GMT if I’m transiting time zones or for just about any occasion! - I can never go wrong with my Seiko SARB035; it’s so versatile! On the bracelet, it’s great for casual wear; I put a leather band on if I need to dress it up a bit. - I love a G-Shock, too! The only problem is, they won’t lie flat for packing...

NYC has a charm after you move away from it me go back to visit. Kinda felt it in this vid. I usually travel with more 3 or 4 cameras and usually 2 or 3 watches.
Great travel video and I felt like I was with you in NYC. Having not visited Manhattan since 2019 due to the pandemic, it was wonderful to see it again through your lens. My favorite travel watch is my G-Shock DW5600-E as I prefer to keep a low profile when on the road.
Sparked a bit of nostalgia. My father used to take me to Grand Central when I was a young child. The Oyster Bar, that ceiling, the taste of black and white cookies. Got the feels.
God, I enjoyed this video. Vicarious travel at it’s best. Many thanks Tristano. Your comment about how odd it is to feel like a tourist in a city you lived for 10 years really struck a cord. I’m the same about London. Anyway, a wonderful video, it’s left me in such a good mood!
Grazie Tristiano, really enjoyed this one. Good way to unwind after a hectic day. Planning to visit NYC next year for the first time, grand central will be a must on the list and won’t be forgetting my watch roll 😉
While not as fancy, I recommend vacuum seal bags for travel, the amount of space you gain in your luggage, is immense by putting clothes and the like in them. You can roll them to get the air out, you don't need a vacuum.
Glycine Airman Base22 GMT is my go-to watch for travel. Versatile, robust, and doesn't attract unwanted attention. It would fall short for a dressy occasion, but otherwise it'll tackle everything else!

Cheers.
Urban, you have such an interesting life and perspective. I would love to see more blogging. I really need to get to New York and do it the proper way like a local, I always feel silly doing touristy stuff in big cities.
Tgv keep doing what you have always done, trust me not many channels can do what you are doing. Historical sites, watches, food and our beloved T. rex. This is so cool seeing sites and than talking watches relatively instead of being confined in one space and talking about watches in a room, it’s a bit boring and all channels are doing exactly the same now. As always this new take of yours is very refreshing and fun to watch, god bless you.
Thank you Nahid, very kind of you to say. It certainly is refreshing to return to this format that was a regular on the channel before lockdown forced me inside for so long. Many more travels on the way again soon. 🤞🤞 Stay safe and well, Best regards, TGV
