What I mean is, make it keep time in Earth hours, but just have an extra half an hour (roughly) on the dial. Hopefully someone will do that with the Mars time as the primary dial. I suppose the minute hand would have to flick back to twelve o’ clock once the extra 37 minutes had been completed, which could be tricky.
@@Ashfielder i would pay an unholy amount of money for a Glycine Martian which has an Airman style dial except there is a separate 24hr and 00 hr index with a 37 minute gap in between them that was highlighted with three lume pips. and then have an extra GMT hour hand that runs on earth time and jumps the 37 minute gap, the GMT hour hand is the one that drives the date wheel so you know what day it is back at mission control imagine how collectable the actual space flown ones would be
That is such a fun dial! With applied logos & numerals and a variety of textures in different sections of the dial, you won't get bored with it! I also love the glide lock feature of the bracelet. In my opinion, every bracelet at this point should have a similar feature, but many luxury watches don't make bracelets with such features. It looks like Fortis certainly cares about the quality & user experience.

That intro was a small step in time but a giant leap for most UA-cam videos.....ok I stretched that a bit....haha. Seriously though, excellent video! My son is an avid space fanatic. He knows more about space and spacecraft than I know about Earth based aircraft! And I fly for a living....ok another stretch but he knows a lot. He loves the new Fortis Mars watch. He asked me to point out that the reason there is probably no 24 hour dial/hand is that that is an Earth concept. Space explorers that go to Mars will most likely utilize the 60 minute hour and Earth based time , but it will be totally off kilter each day due to Mars’ orbital patterns. I don’t know if this is accurate or not but I couldn’t figure a valid reason why he might be wrong. Either way. Food for thought. Totally agree with your opinion regarding the Speedy. The Breitling at the beginning demonstrates pure class (with a corresponding function). The Fortis, on the other hand, is symbolically pure functionality.
Between Nicks, NDC and Erikas, Nicks is more comfortable in my opinion, I prefer it’s slimmer profile on the wrist too since it doesn’t had bulk between the wrist and case. TGV, you need to try it out.

That was quite the beautiful intro. Stunning! Much more then the speedy you can easily see that this watch is designed for modern spacefaring. Love love love my Fortis Aeromaster. Perhaps the most underrated watch brand out there. (And yes I got it from Watchbuys who special-ordered it from the factory in Switzerland for me since the last one they had in stock had minor imperfections from promo-shoot handling.)

It's good to see Fortis with another titanium watch. I never picked one up, but their previous titanium chronograph is very attractive. I do own their previous "Mars 500" with orange and black color scheme, in DLC coated titanium. I'm sure you have your haters saying you're a fortis advert (as they claim with your like for squale). However, I've owned several Fortis watches and they all have good quality.
If you don’t have an Internet ready TV or chrome cast, then crack on Gents and snap one up ... The intro to this video watched on a 60” TV is out of this world.
Simply masterful you intro’s and this one is so immersive and atmospheric... reminds me of that hypnotic quality Kubrick could bring to bear. And no... I am not forgetting about Hugo. He is a bit like HALis he not?

You know I'm a big Fortis fan - It's a sweet watch, but I agree with your negatives. I wish it was smaller and I wish the bracelet tapered down. I own a Ti B42 Cosmonauts and albeit big, it feels super comfortable on the wrist because it's lightweight.
Great intro! Love the watch, the finish on the case is perfect, and the bezel insert is just great, love the whole matte feeling they have going on here. A little out of my price range unfortunately but fantastic nonetheless! I may have to buy myself some other Fortis now! Edit: changed my mind, saving for one of these! Edit2: ordered one!

Fortis should have been marketed by the likes of iwc or breitling as it is absolutely fantastic watch. I had the square chrono and it was the most softest leather band I have ever owned
I'm watching this wearing my Fortis Black Mars Chrono, which this new version now supercedes, I guess. One further Negative of the Amadee is the lack of a 12 hour Chronograph Counter. Surely that would be a bit more useful than that cool and colourful emblem (which could have been placed on the back of the watch, or indeed under the constant seconds subdial). The oversized minute counter is excellent. Also like the Countdown Bezel and I love the colour of the Titanium. Great video as always!
I've always liked Fortis but haven't ever really found 'the one' for me...until now. Never liked grey watches as well...until now! Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and cracking intro by the way!

I simply must brag for a moment, but the focus will not be on me, but rather on the daughter of a close friend of mine who was invited to join the Mars Rover team! It seems she was eleven years-old just yesterday, and now she’s on a team tasked with maintaining the rover’s optics systems. If this watch was not so blasted expensive, I’d buy one for her as a congratulatory gift. She didn’t get the watch, but I’m sure she was simply thrilled with the beautiful shiny text I sent her instead! 😂
I particularly like the Countdown bezel with the distinct 10 min marker. An inner rotating bezel with North South East West directions with gradients would have been a good addition, don't you think?

If I could criticize this watch, I would say it’s too monochromatic. Other than that it’s a fantastic watch!

Unbelievable video quality. So inspiring!
You know I'm a big Fortis fan - It's a sweet watch, but I agree with your negatives. I wish it was smaller and I wish the bracelet tapered down. I own a Ti B42 Cosmonauts and albeit big, it feels super comfortable on the wrist because it's lightweight.

Great intro! Love the watch, the finish on the case is perfect, and the bezel insert is just great, love the whole matte feeling they have going on here. A little out of my price range unfortunately but fantastic nonetheless! I may have to buy myself some other Fortis now!

Fortis should have been marketed by the likes of iwc or breitling as it is absolutely fantastic watch. I had the square chrono and it was the most softest leather band I have ever owned
I'm watching this wearing my Fortis Black Mars Chrono, which this new version now supercedes, I guess. One further Negative of the Amadee is the lack of a 12 hour Chronograph Counter. Surely that would be a bit more useful than that cool and colourful emblem (which could have been placed on the back of the watch, or indeed under the constant seconds subdial). The oversized minute counter is excellent. Also like the Countdown Bezel and I love the colour of the Titanium. Great video as always!
Fortis is always at the top of their game. Their F-43 Triple GMT or a Hanhart will be my next love affair.
I've always liked Fortis but haven't ever really found 'the one' for me...until now. Never liked grey watches as well...until now! Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and cracking intro by the way!

Best intro! Love the 10 min countdown on the bezel. I think red/ orange hands would have popped with the patch. And mars is red...
I simply must brag for a moment, but the focus will not be on me, but rather on the daughter of a close friend of mine who was invited to join the Mars Rover team! It seems she was eleven years-old just yesterday, and now she’s on a team tasked with maintaining the rover’s optics systems. If this watch was not so blasted expensive, I’d buy one for her as a congratulatory gift. She didn’t get the watch, but I’m sure she was simply thrilled with the beautiful shiny text I sent her instead! 😂

I particularly like the Countdown bezel with the distinct 10 min marker. An inner rotating bezel with North South East West directions with gradients would have been a good addition, don't you think?
