I played tsl on giant earth map dozens of times already, speaking from experience either brazil, aztecs or kongo will win. Id say Brazil because their science is ridiculously hard to catch up in deity/immortal. And their location is awesome.

Bill Pettit I don't care about the graphics. I care about the ease of use with the interface.
for example civ 5 is a much better user experience. if I cared about graphics I wouldn't continue to play civ 5 after being heavily disappointed with civ 6.

Why aren't there any Australian city states, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney could work, and they did it with Toronto which was also founded 'recently' because other wise Australia is just left empty until Japan, India or China get down

They'll probably be added in later. A few people have been saying that Canada and Australia might be made into civs later on.
Toronto probably represents the tribes in Canada before the Colonial Period
Aerunn Allado there were over 75000 people living in Australia before colonialisation, and they have the oldest existing culture in the world, they could do the same thing for them if that is what Toronto is for, either Sydney, having the highest aboriginal Australian population, Melbourne being the Australian center for everything that isn't politics or tourism, or Darwin, which has the highest aboriginal percentage in its population

Drew, you have to do a final pan across all the civs on the first video so that we can get a better idea for our picks. Btw, I'm going to take the safe but dumb choice of England, their special ability granting bonus combat strength outside of their continent might help a lot, also could you show us the different map modes so that we get a better idea as to what we can expect? Awesome, I love using modern tanks against an army the AI never upgraded since ancient times.
Spain, Poland, Kongo, Spain, Brazil, German, Japan and Aztec looks good - because its domination only my money is on Poland or Aztec
France is definitely screwed, Rome and Gorgo will try kill each other before Poland and German Kicks their ass, Norway looks good but German will slow them down, Russia and Scythia will slow each other like China and India will, Egypt have the opportunity to be awesome but that early war slows them down

The Kongo will probably do fairly good since they have their unique neighborhoods and it will really add up for the total score when compared to the other civs who may only get one or two decent cities overall.

My guess would have to be the Aztecs, they have 5 or 6 cities already and I can see them taking over North and South America with relative ease. However, I think the Kongo and Poland are honorable mentions.

Last time I chose a Civ to win this it was Bulgaria in Civ 5, and they got crushed :(
My top three are Kongo, Germany, and England.
I feel like Germany is doing really well but, they are surrounded by other civs which I think has a decent chance to overwhelm them. England has a really defensible position especially naval bonuses, but doesn't seem to be doing anything great at the moment. The Kongo is the best bet because of how much land and how little pressure other civs have and will be putting on them.

im 1 min into the video and i think its between Scythia, german or Sumeria. Germans extra district per pop is good, Sumerians warcart and barbarian camp bonus is great, and scythia´s healing is amazing.

I noticed that the new city states aren't in the game. That's a shame because Antananarivo would have made a nice addition to prevent the advancement of Mvemba a Nzinga.

First AI Only of the game, I must vote for Pedro II of Brazil! We're not the most overpowered civ, but we have a lot of space to grow and some nice wildcard abilities to fit most kinds of victory types
Kabul had 17 units at the end of that video!! Would take a pop 3 cities the whole game to get that many in civ 5...
I think that any of the new world civs have a good chance at winning. I think that if the Aztecs go aggressive at the beginning of the game they will have a good chance.

You don’t want to go to war with the Aztecs early on? Ha, try getting war declared on by the Aztecs! Yeah, Montezuma went after me when both of us had only two cities. I somehow fought him off and soon conquered him. I renamed his capital to Farmland just to apply water to burned area

I'm doing this now with all the latest civs. A lot of the new civs actually fill in the "empty" regions. Now every area has at least one rival earlier in the game, save Australia (perhaps an Aboriginal civ some day?) Only sucky thing is there is some annoying bug that makes the UI disappear.
Poland. Though I did see peace was made between Russia and Scythia at the end there. Germany is going into another war. Poland may be able to take a city or 2 from either of their neighbors (Germany or Russia).
