The CEO World Magazine published the 2023 Edition of the World’s Wealthiest 300 Cities. Out of the 300 cities listed, 10 Southeast Asian cities made the list, with cities in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines among the upper top 100, with over $190 billion in gross domestic product.
Here are the top 10 Wealthiest Cities in Southeast Asia.
Metro Manila, Philippines.
Metro Manila, the National Capital Region of the Philippines, is the center of culture, economy, finance, education, and government of the country. It is the 4th richest city in the region and ranks among the upper 100 Wealthiest Cities in the world. With a gross domestic product of $192.6 billion which contributes to 44% of the country’s economy, despite its small land area.
Bangkok, Thailand.
Bangkok is the center of culture, economy, finance, education, and the Government of Thailand. It is the 3rd richest city in the region with a gross domestic product of $252.1 billion which contributes to almost half of the country’s economy, or around 49% of its gross domestic product.
Jakarta, Indonesia.
Jakarta is the center of the economy, culture, and politics of Indonesia. It is also the largest city in Southeast Asia and serves as the diplomatic capital of ASEAN.
Jakarta is also the second richest City in the region with a gross domestic product of $308.2 billion, or around 22% of the country’s economy.
Singapore.

I also think it's time for a non-stop flight on Philippine Airlines between the national capitals of the Philippines and the United States on an Airbus A350 or a Boeing 777X-8 (New Manila International Airport-Washington Dulles International Airport)(NMIA-IAD).
That won’t be possible as of the moment. We know NAIA is the worst airport. A disaster for layover or connecting flights especially if your next flight will be on a different terminal. Imagine you’re catching your next flight on a different terminal and you have to go through the world’s worst traffic. We’ll wait for our new airport. 😊
@@franky1939 The existing Manila airport is not expected to have this type of non-stop flight connecting the national capitals of the Philippines and the United States. This will have to take place at NMIA. Washington DC has 3 major airports (BWI, DCA, IAD), and only IAD can have this flight.

Indonesia is like America. Every city is so rich. Not to mention Bandung, Makassar, Denpasar Bali, Yogyakarta and some other. They're strong city as well.
But there are also some 'lazy' provinces........they have good potentiality (minerals ;natural resources ;culture) ,but cannot take the benefits.......they are just waiting for the central government assistance.....

Jakarta is not a dream place to live, yes, it's one of the most advanced cities in the world in term of services (I know what i'm saying), but the traffic, weather and crowdy places are such a turn off for me. Living in outskirts of Bogor is so much better, you can get the benefit of Jakarta without having to experience its negative sides
