- PING is one of the leading manufacturers of golf equipment in the world. As well as leading engineers making the most of your golf swing, there's also a little dot of coloured paint on each iron which make them the brand of choice for many.
But what does this dot mean?
In this videos Donal explains the PING Colour Code system and how looking out for the right set might just improve your game overnight.

Noone i have seen talks about this
this was really helpful thank you so much
Love your old BECU Eye2. I have the same.
Thanks for brilliant video explaining the Ping dots,
i am 14 and i have been playing golf since i was 4. I just got some Ping G2 Cavity back irons and they have a blue dot.
I took my Ping G irons to a big golf store to see if they could adjust the lie angle. They said they can’t because the Ping irons are cast not forges so they have to be sent back to Ping factory to be adjusted. Not a big cost because Ping charges very little for adjusting but they have to be shipped to Phoenix here in the USA. So keep that in mind if you are buying used Ping irons and need or want to get them adjusted to a different lie angle.
Thats correct! They have to done with a mallet. I went and had mine from blue to red. Done in the U.K they did a great job
Older clubs eg Ping Eye 2 can only be changed by one colour, maybe two if you're lucky. At least as far as the Ping Factory will do.
I have a set of ping zing 2 white dot, how do I know if the shafts are stiff/regular etc? Just says Karsten on the sticker.
Thanks for your awesome Videos :) as soon as I lower my Handicap enough i will buy my next Set from golfbidder which i want to fit to me. I hope I can buy some because I live in Germany, and I don't know how its gonna be with Delivery to Germany after the brexit ;)
Keep on going and stay healty
Important to remember that the color chart is only applicable to PING clubs. There is no standard across manufacturers. For example, a blue dot (1 upright) for PING is standard for Titleist. Those two manufacturers tend to be standard across their own product lines where Taylormade, for example, have different lie angles for different irons models. The TW blades are flatter than the P7MB blades. Test everything.
Great video, keep it up👍
Anyone know where I can buy original Ping grips i am in Australia
so black is standard?
