Actually, when he talked about each alter skin being a weapon type with different moves. The first thing that i thought of was how hammer and hunting horn can be the ones representing impact weapong, and maybe both share moves. That will be really interesting.

Professional musicians can get the music for the second to last fighter closer to their release and have time to practice for the last song closer to that rep’s release, after being secure with leaks for so long, so diligently, I don’t see an orchestra getting leaks nearly a year ahead of time

Well if it's a 5-hour orchestra being cut down to 3, that means they have to cut the songs and practice how they will flow into the next song. If they were doing full songs I agree they could practice but if like the leak says it's beating cut down on each song, then it very well could mean they had to start planning and asking experts the best way to put these songs together.
Kirby's voice actress wasn't told about Terry Bogard even as she was in the studio recording "Power Wave". This is a person actively involved in the Fighter Pack.
But a whole orchestra palying a concert a year from now already know the whole pass?
In this world climate, I'm certain a year is just the amount of time an organizer would need in order to prepare for an orchestra.

Part of me wants it to be true because Crash and Monster Hunter are both genuinely fun ideas for Smash.
Part of me wants it to be wrong because of the chaos it would create in the speculation community as people scramble to figure out who the last fighter is.

proof of a hero is specified as the MH4 version and i dont see why theyd have to use a new song with the dlc character if a song in the game fits the series better. though regardless a different proof of a hero version could simply show up. kens song being missing is odd tho

I really don't really think the Ken thing matters. If it was something to do with the dlc I'd be skeptical but kens base game. Their is no reason for a fake leaker to be any more likely to miss this song than a real one

If you want to get more precise, Terry had the same thing. While the songs featured in the trailer were in the game it wasn't the original song used in the trailer, they were updated or remix versions.
I think counter attack gets in but this argument made me realize it happen 3 times in the first pass.

Pretty clearly indicates this is just the list of considered tracks, grabbed on for each fighter and game, but doesn't mean the actual list won't be trimmed to skip some characters to fit that 3 hour window.

The first major thing that makes me discount this whole "Concert Leak" thing is that, much like every other fake leak, everything they're predicting is basically representative of what the Smash community is currently speculating. After Min Min, a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 character wasn't an uncommon thing to guess at, hell I've had Rex on my predictions lists for a while now. Crash and Monster Hunter have also been very frequently predicted characters, with Crash having something of a renaissance as of late and Monster hunter being... well, Monster Hunter. Everything about this list just *screams* "Yeah, this makes sense.", because that's exactly the kind of reaction fake leaks want to give you. They want to sound as "realistic" as possible in order to seem more believable, even though Smash Ultimate's roster choices have been everything *but* realistic.
And the other major thing that makes me believe this is fake is just the sheer ridiculousness of it all: So you're telling me some random guy on 4chan learned about a *super secret Smash Ultimate concert*, something which would not only require as much licensing as the game itself, but also wouldn't be planned for before the last fighter was revealed specificially to avoid this plot, that *also* just so happens to have songs for each character up until the end of Vol. 2 (sans Ken for some reason), basically spoiling the last 2-3 fighters which have been kept incredibly under wraps? Yeah, no.
In reality, this post is fake and just got lucky in predicting a XC2 character. Everyone is believing in it because they're so goddamned starved for legitimate sounding leaks or rumors that they'll take anything that they can get, no matter how vague it is or how suspiciously it matches up with our current speculation.

@@mistermike4023 absolutely! So a typical, modern Orchestral concert lasts roughly from 90 minutes to around 2 hours. Every concert also has to have an intermission, which is roughly 20 to 30 minutes but it varies, and this is usually included in the run time, but again, it depends. So the first red flag is how this supposed concert is 3 hours long, if it was, then there MUST be some sort of second intermission because 3 hours is a long time, that would also add up to the run time. And if you really think about it, the way the tracks are listed, supposedly in order, it wouldn’t make sense to play then back to back without some sort of transition between the themes, because it would sound like a jumbled mess of songs otherwise.
For example, “Concertos,” or classical concerts, are arranged in 3 movements, which consist of a couple songs in between the movements. And a “concerto” is roughly 30 to 50 minutes. I guess if they wanted to they would arrange every theme into a movement but there’s way to many tracks for that to happen. So basically, if you know how these things are structured even a little bit. A three plus hour concert for all this music makes no sense statistically and structurally. Again I’m not an expert by any means, and if I did say anything wrong please correct me anyone haha.

This is a good point. The real shocking thing about the second Xenoblade character we got was who they went with, not necessarily the idea itself. It was rather commonly speculated due to just how relevant Xenoblade is, it's sort of a rising star for Nintendo. These last two picks, if the leak is to be believed, are just too predictable... they're both characters people have seen coming from a mile away if it actually does happen
When talking about Roy’s song potentially being unfitting, remember that “Attack” was played during his Smash 4 reveal trailer. Not that it matters all too much, but it at least shows they’ve associated him with the song before.
It's crazy to think that regardless of this leak, we have two characters left in this pass AND IT COULD BE THE LAST PERIOD. What a ride Smash Ultimate has been, I'm excited to buy the complete EVERYONE IS HERE poster at the end!

I agree. This leak sounds too good to be accurate. It is possible that a concert could happen, but there are red flags here. Why is Ken's track missing? Monster Hunter's track is already in the game, so why would that come with the Monster Hunter character? Plus, anyone who thinks Nintendo will give this concert album out for free is delusional. Composers aren't just going to let people play their songs without permission. Crash could happen, but as the next character, I'm not going to get my hopes for that.

That is if this concert leak is legit, which it made a good guess about Xenoblade Chronicle 2 character(s). I'm not 100% on board with this leak.

That whole thing of the MH devs being ok with MH content being in crossovers but not characters has happened before, not only in Smash Ultimate. Last year another Nintendo property Dragalia Lost had a crossover with MH but only the monsters showed up with DL characters dressed up in MH gear, no MH character was brought over. Unlike all of the other crossovers that DL had where characters from that series did appear like Megaman and Joker from P5. So perhaps the MH devs don't want a MH character in anymore after the whole thing with MvsC infinite.

A playable Prowler/Monster would also require a different type of moveset to a Hunter, making it possible that the moveset concept for a Hunter was given to Byleth instead.

There’s kind of an issue with Lloyd’s VA in that he works with the same actor union the FFVII character VAs work with and Nintendo doesn’t like working with them hence why Cloud and Sephiroth only have Japanese voices

I don’t know how they’d possibly pull off a concert like that. The leaker only appears to have the information fans would want to see and not smaller stuff that would make it seem more realistic, like when the songs may be performed. And is there no intermission at all? They can’t just pull off One Winged Angel without any preparation after all those songs
And they need permission from the owner to used those songs which has proven to be problem whit final fantasy and dragon quest.

One possibility you haven't considered: We're getting a Monster Hunter character, but it's not a hunter. IT'S A MONSTER! Granted, a lot of monsters are too big even compared to Ridley, but there are a handful that could fit in perfectly. Kirin definitely stands at the top of my list, and Monster Hunter Stories introduces hatchling versions of monsters that could make any of them viable.
One pretty out there theory I had about this leak, what if the Monster Hunter song is just referring to the boss, since it's the only series to have a boss but not a fighter? The song chosen already being in smash, combined with the whole "Capcom doesn't want a hunter to represent the series in crossovers" thing has me pretty suspicious that.
The last 2 songs are Galeem and Dharkon (Basically the Smash Ultimate main theme, closest to the version used in the initial reveal trailer) followed by an original medley, presumably of all the Smash themes. This leads me to my idea, what if Challenger Pack 11 is a Smash Bros rep?
It would be incredibly thematically appropriate to end the ultimate Smash game's roster with a character that's actually from Smash. Someone like Tabuu, or even Master Hand (They could definitely make it work) would be awesome, and a nice ending to the pass.
Again, pretty out there, but I figured I'd speak my mind about the possibility.
If Proof of a Hero were there to represent the Rathalos boss, I'd imagine it would play before all the DLC Fighter songs though, since he was part of the base game.

What makes me doubt this leak the most is that Rex himself was a pretty popular pick. My conclusion is that this leak is fake, and that this person's original intention was to make people think of Rex when they read that Counterattack would be a part of the concert.
I'm still really hoping for Tracer and I'm ready to cry real tears if she shows up as a mii costume with the Crash release.

Personally: Calling bull on the concert leak. With how well-kept both passes have been, I find it hard to believe a full orchestra just gets this info a year before it actually happens. I don't know how the industry or practices for those conerts work, so could be wrong here, but taking away 3 songs for a couple of months can't be that hard, can it?
Edit: Also looking at the list: Beneath the Mask for P5? Really? As great as the track is it kinda stands out amongst the battle themes other fanchises get, especially since the ones from P5 are so iconic. BtM is one of the game's slowest tracks in comparison, it just doesn't sit right with me as a concert pick.

Wait... I think there's more evidence it's fake already. There should be 2 Xenoblade songs (for a total of 4 they'd need to keep secret) since technically Pyra and Mythra are two different fighters and each would get their own track.
I don’t really think that deconfirms it. Sure, they count as two different characters. But they still count as one Fighter slot in the DLC.

We already know Capcom doesn’t like the Hunter representing the series, so the Hunter amiibo “suspiciously left out” doesn’t really mean anything
Small correction: The MH teams don't like the Hunter representing the series. Capcom probably thinks otherwise, if Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is any indication.
This is the only time "Character can't get in because it's a customizable type avatar" is a valid argument because of the stances of the Monster Hunter team on the matter
Do people not know Marvel vs Capcom infinite exists? People bring up MvC3 interview as if that was final. MH is a character playable in MvC infinite. They are already in a crossover fighting game. They used rathalos and kirin armor. Their moveset uses multiple weapon types.

To add on the 4 hunters as one slot idea, 4 is a very unique number to the monster hunter franchise. For example, there is lore as to why hunter teams never exceed 4 members.

@@IcyDiamond Look up the Five incident or the Hero of Kokoto from Monster Hunter freedom. It is why the Hunter guild added a rule that only allow a maximum of 4 hunters to hunt together.
Also, the Banjo-Kazooie theme in the leak for representing the character it's "Banjo-Kazooie Main Theme", when in the reveal was Spiral Mountain.
If you think about it, there could be a remix of "Proof of a Hero" in the MH DLC, which could justify it's appearance in the concert.
I'd be very surprised if a new MonHun series Fighter didn't come with a new version of Proof of a Hero.
These feel like the best FINAL two characters. Crash is the big reveal for the west, and Monster Hunter is the big reveal more for Japan. A good finale for everyone!

Why wouldn’t they? Either way they wouldn’t make much money. Just put it out for free, sell sponsor spots to be able to cover the orchestra’s booking fee, and enjoy the massive clout and fan service.
I don’t know how I feel about the concert being in order of the characters. On one hand that’s the whole shtick of ultimate, but on the other hand, I feel they would want to structure it in a way so each song flows seamlessly.

The fact that Hero and Steve have 4 alts makes me want to believe that the next step or evolution would be a Hunter character with different armor sets and different playstyles.

When Scott Menville said that he was doing a “Cool voice-over project” it got me thinking. What if he actually IS doing a voice-over project for smash ultimate, but not for Lloyd as a playable character, but for Lloyd’s Mii costume instead.
We’ve always had this trend of the deluxe Mii costumes getting something interesting, like Sans and Cuphead getting a music track and Bomberman getting different coloured alternates. What if they made Lloyd Irving a deluxe Mii costume in that his voice lines, or at least some of them, would be voiced by Scott Menville.
The moves of Mii Swordfighter closely resemble those of Lloyd Irving in Tales of Symphonia and there’s no doubt in my mind that Sakurai and the dev team designed Mii Sword Fighters moves to look like Lloyd’s moves, and then also adding him as a costume in Smash 4.
So being able to use the Mii sword fighter with the Lloyd Irving Mii costume in smash ultimate while having Scott Menville voice some of the special moves would definitely be a fan-service I’m up for. (Whenever I play Mii sword fighter I usually shout the special moves that resembles Lloyd’s moves just like he does in his games, so it would be amazing if that actually became a reality.)
That would definitely go a long way to make the Mii outfit feel like the real Lloyd.
The idea of having different move sets for Hunter would be very good representation, I'm not sure if that goes with what's already established as far as how each character works. Being locked in to a different move set sounds like it would be several individual characters, since even echoes are tied to different slots. I'm not sure about that being how they include Hunter, if they're including them at all. That's what throws off concert leak most to me.
I think Felynes would be a really fitting rep for Monster Hunter. They're sort of mascots for the whole franchise, they do fight in the series, and actually use boomerangs, horns, or bombs and traps, like full-fledged hunters, which would be fitting to represent the gameplay in MH. I also think their goofiness could fit the roster surprisingly well. So I do believe a Felyne would be a very solid pick for this IP.

Monster Hunter being the FINAL character could potentially be polarizing to the fanbase, UNLESS... (Imagine) to accomodate the MvC concerns; Sakurai would treat "The Monster Hunter" similar to the Mii characters, with their own customization page for creating YOUR Monster Hunter, adding a plethora of customization including a slider for heavy/strength to light/speed and multiple "new" moves ECHOING the other characters in SSBU. Ending off the biggest roster in any game with the most customizable character ever in Smash.
If the last two dlc are going to be Crash Bandicoot and a Monster Hunter rep then I am fine with that
It seems Sakurai really did put a lot of hard work and attention to detail in the Melee Opening, no wonder it’s considered the best by many Smash Fans. Also Min Min and Pyra might prove that the next Smash Game isn’t coming for sometime.

The guy could’ve flat-out said “it’s Rex.”, but the fact that specifics weren’t given, as you suggested actually makes it more likely.
I'm gonna have to disagree here, Rex being Mii'd early on made many people think Xenoblade 2 simply too late to be added, which is partly why I think people were upset with Pyra and Mythra being added in so late in the pass. I don't think many people seriously believed a Xenoblade 2 rep was going to happen at all.

IMO I think the math is a little off. Some songs may do short renditions, and some songs have short main melodies. There's 94 songs, and I multiplied that by an average of 90 seconds, got 8460 seconds. Which makes it 2.35 hours. Still think this is fake though.
I don't think you could go by averages. Songs like One Winged Angel for example would most likely last longer by the Dr.Mario Fever song.

@@PapaGenos Not entirely out of the realm of possibility when it comes to fighting games. Injustice 2 did that with their final DLC character the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, where they were 4 characters in a single character slot. They shared many standard moves but differed in specials. Same could be applied to Monster Hunter, a shared moveset of A button moves but all their B's are different.

If you're a leaker and know for certain a leak is real don't reveal it, when it comes to smash fighters, guessing is part of the fun and if this leak is true then that fun is gone
I wanna mention (if others haven’t already) about the Roy and blazing blade music. Spoiler time:
Roy shows up at the very end of the game as a little kid. Blazing blade is a prequel to Binding Blade, so it would be weird that’s what Roy gets as his song.
The only problem with your Monster Hunter concept is that effectively only two people would ever be able to play one of the Hunters at the same time, which seems like a big no go in a game with 8 player mulitplayer
Why? He said you just pick what type you want to use. They could do something where when you click the character, a menu of the four weapon types pop up, and after you choose it, you pick the skin.
I think they waited to monster hunter in so they could put monster hunter rise rep in instead for promotional purposes. So they just gave us rathalos boss fight without the MH fighter
your idea on how the monster hunter could be implemented is an amazing feature for future game characters, it really seems similar to a "stance" thing for characters like heihachi or dante/vergil, where their movesets change if you press a special input, let's see how that ends, but really neat way to implement them, hopefully they do something like that, let's see what happends
Counterattack is literally the single most obvious song to get in with Pyra and Mythra, it’s like the games most iconic music for all the big moments

While the possibility still exists that someone who knows the fighter pass put this leak out there to throw us off who the final two characters are. But let's be real we're grasping at straws to try and prove against this leak, also it's note-worthy that Monster Hunter Smash debut hasn't been leaked by the Capcom Ransom.
The story is believable, the timing is possible, but there is other leaks that this isn't lining up with. I'd be more incline to suggest that Proof of a Hero starts the ending cinematic of bosses (Rathalos), and that the final fighter hasn't been revealed in the leak; although real.
I have noticed something.
A theory I have for why Ken isn't there is because all the other Echo Fighters are from games aren't from games that originated with their base games.
Let me Elaborate:
Chrom didn't appear in Roy's original game
Dark Pit, Lucina, Daisy, Dark Samus, and Richter didn't come out from games where the fighter it's based on originated from.
Ken, on the other had did. If this rumor is true, I think they didn't want to include two songs for the same.

So, as an MH an, I want to comment on a couple of the points you brought up in the video and give a bit of my interpretation on them.
Firstly, the moveset between MH and Byleth.
At first hearing this, I was skeptical, as MH has very distinct animations and moves for their weapons, but knowing that they were rough ideas and not actual animations/frame data and what not, this makes sense-- The rough idea that a character has multiple weapon types in their moveset does indeed fit both of them.
Now, as far as this bit being potentially evidence AGAINST an MH character, I dont believe it is. If this did indeed happen, the idea translated very roughly, and there's hardly a single move that would be an actual one-to-one between Byleth and a hypothetical MH character. The closest would be Byleth's Down B being comparable to a full Hammer charge. So even if they used the closest weapon types possible, they'd still very likely be different in the end, purely based off of MH's legacy.... AND this isn't accounting for the way bigger weapon pool MH has to pick from. Byleth has 4.5 weapon (if you count the sword form and whip form), MH has a whopping 14 to select from. They could basically dedicate just 2 moves to each weapon type, which would be way, way more varied than Byleth. And! This isn't to mention potential non-weapon tool as moves, like a Slinger for a recovery, Potion for healing, Flash pods, Barrel Bombs, traps, Throwing Knives etc.. All very iconic elements in a hunter's tool kit.
TL;DR even if Byleth and MH share ideas, they wouldn't overlap.
Secondly, I wanna discuss the MH team not wanting hunters as playable.
So, this is true! I believe Ryozo Tsujimoto is the one calling this shot. In fact, this is something I've been pondering for awhile now, and similarly, I actually don't think this NECESSARILY works against them. It could, but lemme explain.
It's important to understand why they dont like the idea of a hunter in crossovers. That article you had was seemingly translated sorta awkwardly, but the idea is, that a Monster Hunter is akin to a job-- it's NOT a single person, and the team does not want that idea to be lost. Anyone in the MH world can be a Hunter. So when we saw something like MH in MVC, they were interpretted as a very specific character with personality and what not.
Now, we have seen hunter's in crossovers since then. Most notable, in Dragalia Lost, a hand full of existing characters learn the ways of a hunter, and actually have alternate versions of themselves AS Hunters that you can Gatcha. To my knowledge the MH team's never commented on this, but I think this highlights my point I'm going to get at: A hunter can work in a crossover so long as it's done right.
To that end, I think Smash, of all series, would be able to nail this. Something easy to imagine is, a MH char of course using the simple name "Monster Hunter" (akin to Hero) with 8 different alts that each have different armor sets, gender, skin tone, and speechless voices (somewhat akin to Koopalings). This, IMHO, would easily set the tone of "this is a group/no single individual" type character. Hell, getting into speculation territory, I wouldn't be super shocked if the hunter came with a Mii-esque editor feature that allowed you to change these qualities within a very specific set of presets. To reel this back in and state simply, Sakurai and his team of all people could make this work, we see him go that extra step so, so often.
TL;DR MH team not wanting a hunter is true, but because the hunter is a job not a single person, and Sakurai should be able to honor this quality while including them.

Concert leak officially DECOMFIRMED thanks to Kazuya, not Crash, getting into Smash.
Guys, this leak is bullshit. Think about how a usual orchestral concert plays out. It needs to flow properly, that’s why many “concertos” are arranged in movements, and if you think about it, playing every Smash characters main theme back to back would sound like a mess considering all the different music styles etc. So the only way to really make this work, is if they have frequent transitions between the songs, and that ADDS to the run time. You also have to take into consideration Intermission, which is typically 30 minutes. So if you think about it, this person has no idea how concerts really works irl, and it’s probably fake.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is Beneath the Mask after Jump Up, Superstar a good example?

Here's a really long comment discussing both sides of the leak.
Arguments Against:
1. I feel like it would've been really easy to guess that a xenoblade character was next for dlc. They have a lot of characters that people want in the game that all seemed to miss out on the base roster. In addition, a lot of people speculated that a xenoblade character next due to both FF7 and xenoblade having poor representation in the base game. It would make sense to have dlc characters that fix the mistakes that appeared in base game.
2. If you have a full track list for a smash orchestra, why wouldn't you just copy paste the list rather than typing it out causing Ken's song to be missing. If it's done as a reference to other leaks, that degrades it's credibility. Leakers like to play around with people, but this doesn't seem like that. It seems more like it's being used as bait to make it seem more realistic.
3. Unlike Disney, Sakurai would actually want to respect the wishes of the Monster Hunter team and not include the hunter.
4. If the hunter had their moveset transfered to Byleth, then there's no need to have the hunter in the game because the moveset Sakurai envisioned is already in use.
5. This list features characters that are popular. It's obvious that people are gonna support this leak because people want these characters. Outside of guessing characters right, the other seemingly credible leaks featured characters that people really wanted like Doomslayer, Rayman, Gene, etc.
Arguments For
1. 5 year Crash plan lines up with Steve.
2. We could get the Palico and not the hunter.
3. Song list might have needed to be translated and in translation Ken lost his song.
4. They specifically chose a song from 2 and not x or torna.
36:07 This reminds of when Vergeben said the final two characters in base game would be Ken and Incineroar then everyone turned on him when the Grinch leak happened but it turned out he was right
I've always thought that Palico would be better representation for Monster Hunter than a hunter character, but that '4 characters in one' scenario is pretty intruiging~
I also think Crash is pretty likely next regardless of wether Concert leak is true or not, so I think it's going to be hard to confirm this theory until it's over.
Okay so I just looked over the entire concert leak and a few of these kind of stick out
1 why do they use the regular final destination music for brawl and not taboo's theme
2 why did they grab delfino plaza for Bowser Jr yes it is the main theme of the game he originally appeared in but it's not a song that fits him very well
3 why did it not specify what version of proof of a hero they're using because let's be honest if we get a monster hunter rep we're definitely getting monster Hunter rise version of proof of a hero in other situations he has specified this exact thing
4 why was the villain theme from diamond and Pearl selected for Lucario as opposed to any of the other tracks they have from Gen 4
I'm not going to just say that this debunks it but I'm skeptical
I have no idea why people keep doing the "They would reveal the character near their game's release date for publicity" thing. I don't think that has ever happened. The closest there was was Byleth and even then they were a clean 6ish months after Three Houses dropped. It really isn't a viable argument for or against and I don't understand why this is a point that people still make.

Ken's theme being missing seems sus , and before yall say that echoes really don't matter , we do have dark pits theme and vs parasite Queen in this aswell , so my gut feeling is that this is just a mdae up leak or the leaker didn't researched properly
I do like the theory of this pass being all filled with characters that either almost made it in base or long talks. Crash i feel is that latter choice. However i dont feel that monster hunter is happening. The points against them are too likely i feel, and i feel sakurai may feel rathalos is a perfect representation of the series. So thats why i feel that concert leak may just have been a good guess, like sephiroth was in a few leaks.
There are other characters that fit the 2nd chace theory, which honestly is the very likely one. Ryu hyabusa could have been a long talk one, rayman could have been planned, shantae i feel has some strong hints that she was planned(only third party character that has a online icon that isnt tied to playable fighter or assist trophy is very odd)

The Blazing Blade critique is accurate. It's a game about Roy's father, Eliwood. Roy only makes a brief cameo at the very end of the game.
