I just purchased this trimmer and it is very powerful. I live on 17 acres with two small homes and lots of fences, so i trim a lot. I've used echo for over a decade and they're great tools but I wanted to try Stihl since I have an old Stihl chainsaw that just won't die. I have used this trimmer today and so far it's doing the job fine. It doesn't have the quickest trigger response but it does the job.
Have you ever ran anything with this much power? It rips.

I hear all kinds of opinions on fuel for small engines. I was always the non ethanol guy, but my mechanic exclusively uses the highest octane fuel he can find and adds star tron fuel additive. He swears this is the best combination for small engines. He runs it in his personal equipment and drains the fuel of the customers equipment before he starts working on it, then adds the high octane/ additive mix. Great video and can’t wait to put my 91r to the test.

What I have found is the 93 octane fuel with good oil like the Stihl 2 cycle oil is fine for everyday or ever week use. If I wasn't going to use it very often I would definitely use non ethanol fuel.
What are the valves supposed to be adjusted at

Our county offers a disposal service homeowners for things like that. Check with your local county.
Hi Carl, I have an FS120R. Do you think that going for the FS131 is a good choice or should I go for something higher? I would like to try the 4 mix engine but in that case I want to do a good and worth upgrade, not just a waste of money 😂. thank you in advance
The FS240r or FS251r is what I would replace a 120 with

Yes it does. Right on the side.
So with the duro cut head, what size trimmer line can you run on the fs91 R?
.130 diameter line.

This is normal. It is the governor/rev limiter. When under no load you will hear it.
Operate it just under that level. If you keep it pinned you’ll end up overheating it.
Valve adjustment? So it is a 4 cycle engine?
4 mix. Yes 4 cycle but always runs on mixed fuel.

It’s a great sale. I have heard no word about discontinuation. It is one of our bestsellers and expect that to continue for years to come.
I think most places are eliminating last years models to make room for this year's stuff I just bought a fs 91 for $299

I just bought a fs 91 back in March of this year and it's been in the shop once already over it bogging down and it's still not right it still bogus down when you give it gas
Something doesn’t seem right. Do a quick fuel swap with moto and see if anything changes. If not I’d have it checked out.

Mine is doing the same exact thing since day 1. Even removed the screen like everyone does and didn’t fix the problem🤦♂️
@@laughlin978 removing the screen on a 4mix is going to do no good. Has yours been into the shop to have it checked out? There are the occasional ones that need a carb adjustment.
