    Can anyone please tell me how at 3:57 Dom got the 3 tracks to open in the sample editor in separate horizontal lanes (IN 3 STACKS, ONE ABOVE THE OTHER) because I can only get multiple tracks to open in the same stereo/mono lanes all superimposing over one another like Dom did at 4:44?

    • @gedeonandrasmusic
      @gedeonandrasmusic Рік тому

      This is because synth is a stereo track and bass tracks are mono. So what we actually see is the stereo synth track in the top and bottom, and the TWO bass tracks in the middle.

      @@gedeonandrasmusic Many thanks Andras for enlightening my on my misunnderstanding! Watching back now I can see that as you say, the tracks are not separated but overlaid as Dom said, with stereo left channel on top, mono in the middle and right stereo channel at the bottom as you said. 👍

    I'm trying to use Audio Warp for multitrack recorded drums, to fix some tempo issues in the performance, but I'm finding that I get artifacts on relatively modest adjustments - such as weaker transients and tone shifting. Can audio warping be reliably used for drum editing, or should it only be used for solo instruments (like guitar, bass, etc)? I'm using Cubase Pro 12, with group editing and phase-coherence enabled on the 8 channel drums folder. I made the edits via Free Warp in the project window, manually quantizing to the grid every bar or so (more control). Maybe audio warp isn't there for drum editing yet? Should I go with the old way of doing slices/fades/slips? Great videos by the way - they're helping me get acclimated with Cubase.

    • @3m63r3

    • @NikolajChristensen
      @NikolajChristensen 2 роки тому

      I struggle a bit with this a well. Did you sort it? Seems like the warp markers snap to the grid, which (intuitively) is not what I want. I except the warp markers to snap to the wave form, and then quantize the waveform to the grid.

    I get, that when I audio warp i.e. multiple drum tracks everything between three markers gets warped. So I need to get every hitpoint right to avoid i.e. the hi hat hits to be warped out of their positions. But how can I warpe i.e. a snare and a drum hit that should come together on the 4 but the BD is behind the SN. If I mark the snare and the kick and move both exactly on the 4, audio warp must have shorten the snare hit to zero. 🤔

    • @fuzzfizz

    man. I mean, Studio One's and Bitwig's warp tools are pretty nice, and sound great (not as many artifacts as in the Flex tool in Logic and other's) I've corrected (and purposefully changed) the timing on so many accapellas in both that came out great But they're toys compared to how many features and options Cubase's warp tool is. I can tell it even sounds better, and after watching this video, it looks like I could have been saving massive time. But I realize this is in 12, so I wouldn't have had these features if I switched over earlier.
