Nice overview. I'm surprised nobody else noticed that your wireless microphone was only recording to the left channel. So the right channel is dead. You'll want to sum that to mono in the future when you're editing. Happy vlogging!

Hey Ron, we met in Manila during the HERO 12 launch. I just completed a vlogging setup with the GoPro 12 Black and the media mod + Hollyland Lark m2 mic. I can't seem to find info about whether it's ok to keep the media mod attached when turned off. Does it drain the battery even when turned off?
Hey Jay! sorry i missed your message! If you're using the "Bluetooth function" it is totally fine to keep the media mod attached. The media mod doesnt drain additional power from your camera

Cant believe you cant zoom in on it. Paddle board down the river and want to zoomnin on some wildlife and i cant. Also have to buy all new equipment to upload it to because it lags on all of my current phone/tablet options.
technically you can keyframe & crop-in in post production! p.s if you shoot in 5.3K - you'll much 4x as much pixels than 4k allow you to retain all those details even when cropping in

with the new power management system you can expect longer runtimes. Personally all these years of using GoPro, I have NEVER ran into overheating issues. That's also cause i never had the need to shoot long continuous recordings.

I found the quality just not worth it for the upgrade, looks similar to my GoPro 9 footage and still performs terribly in Low light. The new DJI Pocket 3 is far superior in terms of vlogging

These footage were straight off the HERO12 Black! non-color graded. I was using the Natural color profile

it does! the "Linear" lens offers a wide, non-distorted view!+ with the HERO12 Black you can shoot in s Log color profile to match it with your Canon

i think it's great for vlogs. this was just the raw audio from the media mod. you have the option to add eq in post!

if you're comparing it to the 9, it's a HUGE upgrade. the 8x7 sensor is probably one of the biggest reason why the 12 is my primary go-to camera!
