Love the vids. You're one of the few youtubers that actually goes in depth and elaborates on what you're doing.
cjchico Facts💯
Thanks guys!
Great build, and great info. You keep it real, none of that filler bs. These are the videos worth watching/saving for my own build. Great content!!
Thanks man. I appreciate it!
I was shocked at the difference too, wow that’s a nice sound!! Lol
Love your videos man, completely underrated. I just joined the L5p family so keep it up 🤙🏼
WOW that’s a huge difference!!!!! I’m shocked too! That sounds amazing!! Keep it up man, loving the content!
thanks man
This is exactly what I was looking for and hoping to gain. Ordered an intake horn from Rudy’s Diesel earlier today for my 2024.
Love your videos buddy. I think that a magnet 13mm socket is the best to remove the intake horn bolts.
Great videos man, keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy will do!
That thing sounds good
Thanks buddy!
Nice video. Several years ago I put on my federal emissions standard lb7 piece of cake .
Sounds amazing either way but definitely a lot more whistle afterwards
Haha for sure
Awesome video bro! Love that sound.
Nice install video man very detailed and I was very shocked by the difference it ended up making now I know what to tell my customers Thanks
Anytime
I just bought a new 2020 Sierra AT4. This is my first diesel and love it so far. I don't really keep vehicles for very long so I don't know if i'll be tuning, but I would definitely like to get more whistle out of this thing. Would I benefit from this on a 100% stock truck? And is there anything else that can be done to free up the breathing of this thing without affecting the truck or warranty?
Thanks for the vids
Sweet! I just stepped in to a 2020 myself from an old 2006 LBZ. Went from an insane whistle to zero! Nice video!
Doing the same thing as you. Did you ever get any sound.
@@bdickey0581 no sir, not yet. Haven't done anything yet, but am getting my tuned ECM Tuesday the 8th. (Tomorrow) Can't wait! All I really care about is having that power as I did with the last truck.
what a legend
I have a stealth tune in my LP5 I want to get more whistle sound. Thinking about S&b intake plus this tube. Should I re route or use the same factory tube and keep it routed the factor way?
Great Videos!! You definitely deserve MORE subscribers than you have now!
Thanks buddy!
That sounds awesome. Awesome video. Thanks for the lesson. Lol
Awesome video bro🙌🏼
Thanks buddy 👊🏼
To do this, will you need a tune? I want to do this but haven’t tuned it yet. Don’t want to throw any codes but hate having the PCV dump into the turbo
Nice to see you changed your tires and rims now it looks like a truck !
Thanks man.
What do you think about changing the original air intake ? On a 21 model thanks
Great video, thank you.
Thanks man!
magnetic 1/4 swivel sockets are out on the market now grey 9712umg is the metric set
GM definitely has hands down had the best sounding vgt turbos . I’m a cummins guy . Only thing I can compare to that sound is my 2nd gen swaps
Yessir.
Awesome !!
Thanks man!
You’re so handy man. I would never have the patience to do all this myself
Haha thanks man!
Would it make a difference and be worth it if running stock?
Just saw your video on your install of the intake horn I have a question did you get the better whistle on a stock exhaust??
Have you seen any turbo surge since changing the intake horn?
Good work, and great videos on l5ps. I have a deleted 2018 silverado 3500 l5p. Would like to know how bad the smell is from pvc reroute on the l5p? I've done this on my lbz and ran down the frame a little further with slices in the hose and mad sure the hose slopes down the hole length as for in cold weather in canada this will freeze and you can blow gaskets
I'm looking to do this also but was told a Tune is recommended, did you have to tune yours? any issues?
My 2018 is stock and I don't p;an on any mods BUT I would like to hear some turbo. Is this video the result of solely the Intake horn? Thanks.
CAN YOU PLEASE explain the benefit in long run for rerouting the PCV valve . Thank you
Rolling in money
Wow that is a very noticeable difference
Definitely I surprise myself Lol
I seen in your video a oil filler tube extension on your truck. Where did you get that part?
Denny can you drop a link to where to order the hose and intake horn together at? Not finding it on wherli site sir.
Did you get any performance bonuses HP or MPG?
😂 My friend and I are teaching our boys how it's easier to get to the bolts by removing stuff that's in the way rather than suffering because of laziness. Thanks
There's only one stud under that hood...🔥
Getting the AC compressor bolts out and back in was the hardest part for me . Everything else went fairly smoothly . Used the electrical tape on the socket and extension to help not lose them . Also did that with the nuts when I installed them . Time to install the hot and cold side pipes next
Bro what tools did you use? I can’t figure out how to get to the damn back left bolt off of the ax compressor. Gah gam
@@samueldamianreyes7602 I used hand wrenches and I will admit it is a tedious and frustrating process . Gotta turn the bolt flip the wrench , turn the bolt flip the wrench and on and on . Putting it back on was a little bit of a PITA but I got it done . The rest of it was fairly easy
@@cole-trickle50 about how long did it take you? I spent about two hours today trying to figure it out. Ended up putting everything back together. Figured I’d get a stubby set of wrenches and try again. I just couldn’t fit the ones I had in that space.
@@samueldamianreyes7602 I’m sure it took me a couple of hours to get it all torn down , installed and put back together
Any idea why the recommend tuning on the PCV reroute intake horn vs the one that retains the factory location?
Wehrli covering them self’s ahha
Does that turbo horn fit a 2024 duramax? Also does it affect the warranty?
Damn it sounds great!!! I was going to buy one a while back , but Mr.Banks had talked about it in one of his videos and he said it wasn’t a good idea, never the less I think I am going to get one now lol
Haha. Not a fan of banks personally
Thank you for all the work you are doing brother 👍🏻👍🏻
Which video did you hear banks talk about the intake horns? Curious what his reasons are...
Good video! Maybe try mounting the camera stationary. It would give a wider view and be easier to follow than the close up quick movements. Very informative man, keep up the good work
Thanks man
Anybody know where to find one with the pcv reroute? Been looking for a few weeks and it seems they don't sell them anymore only selling with the pcv port. Do you think you could cap off the port with rubber cap? Or too much pressure...
If you ever plan on selling that truck. I want first dibs lol Truck is LIT!
Haha thanks man!
Subscribed bud.
At this point in your build was the rest of the truck stock exhaust and intake ?
Hey gents. Decided to do this to my 21 2500 Duramax High Country. And I agree with most of y’all, it’s that 4th ac bolt that was the bane of my existence. Just now my dudes, there is no shortcut to it. Box wrench, turn not even a quarter inch, flip, repeat… took hours. Putting it back-- remember to do that bolt first!!! Or you might puncture that line!! Top it all off, don’t feel like it made any difference. But also, I didn’t do that pcv reroute either… not sure - but hope it works for y’all! Love this cat.
Didn't make difference on my 18 l5p. Made my truck have compressor surge now
Not worth money
Mine doesn't sound like that, I don't know what the problem is, I really followed all your instructions and I also used the same thing as you, do you have any idea what the problem is and thanks friend
The PCV just doesn't connect anywhere on the other side?? Also they dont have the reroute kit on their website anymore. Or the intake horn without the pvc port on the horn
Great content and explanation!
Thanks buddy!
I can do the re route without a delete right?
Stock exhaust? Tunes? Deleted? Or all stock
Is your truck deleted or is the DPF still on it?
🔥🔥
Thanks bro 👊🏼
Sweet video bro
Thanks bro gotta catch up soon 👊🏼
Denny Diesel yea man we really do
Do you have oem turbo
Love the content! Where do you get one of those ladders?
It’s called a topside creeper, google it, you can get one as low as $125-400
Does it void any warranties for the truck? I just got my L5p.
Is your truck tuned? Wehrli says has to be tuned to run the re route.. I have l5p adding the Derringer tuner with exhaust. Should I run the same one u have here or the horn that connects back to factory pcv? Thanks man
Hey man my truck is tuned. I think they recommend that to cover them selfs but I THINK it could be done without a tune.
Got a link for that top side creeper? That thing would be so handy
Here you go buddy

Did my intake horn same time as batmowheel. Really whistles loud now. Probably more to do with the batmowheel
The whistle never gets old lol
Part number for the horn and reroute kit?
can this be done on a stock no tune l5p
Will this mod void the warranty
Do you need a tune for this mod? I would love to do this intake horn.
The manufacturer of this says no.
Was this video before or after you deleted it?
Where do you order these parts from?
Is that intake horn from wehrli also? I cant find one on their site without the port
Looks like they don't make them anymore. Everyone getting scared & just resorted to making "emissions complaint parts"
Could I put banks air intake on if I do this?
Banks doesn't have a 2020 CAI yet, but yes on the 2017-19 you can. Been running WC Fab horn and Banks CAI for a year.
How did you rotate the hose?
Grab it at the base and twist
I made a 4” intake tube for my 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500HD to delete the intake muffler & resonator. No lights on dash 🤟🏽. I’m wondering if the intake horn you installed is a 4” on the upper side? I asked cuz the factory intake horn is a 4”
Yes I’m pretty sure it is but I’ll double check it!
Denny Diesel You should add an oil catch can to that PCV instead of having hanging down 😎
Can I do a pcv reroute on a stock truck and just plug the original intake horn?
JohnDeere50d yes
Yessir
@Denny Diesel, I just (like 2 days ago) bought a new 2020 Silverado 3500 HC. Does doing this void out the factory warranty?
Probably... but who’s going to know of you remove it before you need to claim warranty 👍
I’m in the same boat, I just place an order for a new 2021 GMC Sierra 3500 crew cab long bed AT4 for $83k and I do not want to void warranty. You’ll be fine as long as you don’t have a problem removing it before you take it into the dealership.
I've got a stock 18 l5p, I'm wanting to put that intake horn on my truck by I've heard it might throw a code, any idea what code it'll throw. I don't really wanna keep the pcv hose connected to the intake I'd rather re route it
Ever get an answer on this? I’m wondering the same thing
Not yet
Is this truck deleted?
I know this video was posted a yr ago but I just watched it. I have a 2021 L5P and was wondering if this would work on my truck?
The 2020-23 L5P’s are all the same, they changed in 24’
Will doing this to a stock truck cause any service lights to go on?
Nosir
Crazy that I had to buy a whole new intake setup because they wouldn’t just sell me the hose. Now I have money sitting here doing nothing
Damn crazy
Now this isn't a deleted truck right? that sounds amazing
😂😂😂💀righttttt
It's interesting to see this cause I recently installed the Wehrli horn and intake tube on mine and noticed zero sound difference.
what year is the truck
Denny Diesel 2019
My 17 isn’t even deleted and the intake horn made a big sound difference..
@@JJC227 Did it throw any codes
Also did you do the PCV reroute?
Idk why they changed the design and put the inlet back on for the oil.
Gotta take this off that off and so on like I’m about to say hell with Chevy and buy a Cummins
Don’t have to do that just a nice upgrade haha
It doesn't look that hard and he was stopping to explain things while filming. GM probably figured you;re going to service the AC before the intake horn. Also, if you are worried bout removing the AC pump in a Duramax and want to get a Cummins to replace it as a result, how do you feel about removing a transmissions to replace it?
Love the videos I’m about to hit you up on insta for some questions
Must be nice to have a deleted truck... oh how I wish hahaa
I have a 2020 Denali L5P. How did you get your exhaust to sound so good? I’m new to the diesel world. I have a a basic understanding of the DEF system but everything I’m running into says I can’t touch the exhaust system without having issues.
You just answered your own question!
Just deleted it And be impressed fuck the warranty
I have a At4 2020 and def went out on me two time only on cold weather untill it got fully deleted and then you’ll want more
Can this be done on a 20+ truck without problems
Yes
Won't it throw a check engine light with the PVC rerouted like that?
Could you let us know the dimensions of the cap for the factory turbo horn, so we can do this with all of the factory parts? Also do you think it will cause the factory ECU to go crazy with no shop work?
James Walton I wonder the same
Yes I will get some specs on that. And yes I’m almost positive you can do that stock
Was the turbo stock in this video?
Yes
@@DennyDiesel cool I believe the difference between ppl saying it adds sound or it doesnt is the PVC reroute option makes the horn have no port and if you dont get the pvc reroute option having the port on the horn takes the turbo sound away.
Any truth to
This ? Can someone confirm this
@@stefano2289 I got the reroute based on this video and the intake horn without the emissions nipple.....I also did the intake mod to remove the extra "silencer box" from the intake as well. This video is misleading his truck at this point has to be deleted or has an upgraded turbo because my truck still remained bout as quiet as it was before I did all that.....my truck is not deleted.
@@AH-mp5di
My truck is deleted
I have an s/b intake
I have the wherli horn with the pcv nipple
I blocked it off and I can’t get the truck to reproduce the same type of turbo whistle on light acceleration as in his video
Do you notice any compression changes?
Why would compression change?
No sir
you aren’t picking up hp from a pcv reroute whoever told you that has a screw woose lol
Not much but you defiantly will because now you won’t be getting hot gasses in the charger
Is it deleted
Yes
wow duramaxs suck to work on
Have you seen a ford? HoLY SHIT THEY ARE FUCKIN JUNGLES IN THE ENGINE BAY🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you not talk so much and just show the damn results 🎉
The sound before and after are not either one they're not the same truck or you've got your truck deleted in the second sounding one because there's no way that the truck is that much difference
