How I roll heavy logs.

Sometimes logs are just not worth breaking your back over, so for the time being I use a chain hoist attached to the skid steer bucket. Mostly I'm able to roll using just a "cant" hook. there are times when that's just not gonna work for me, so out come the big guns. a permanent home is currently under construction for this mill which will incorporate a steel "I" beam and a trolly with the hoist attached to assist when a big log is unmanageable. Well cone Chuck. Equipment with a loader makes a great portable gantry crane.

I've been trying to use more mechanical means too. It is slower sometimes but it saves the back.
