Looks good. I need to get up on my roof maybe twice a year. Tiger Paw boots are only an option for professional roofers. Your solution is much better for homeowners. Thanks.
Amazing!! I have the same type roof, only 6 years old very dirty scared shit less about power washing it because falling off only 1 story high. Have the same driveway washer too! You video was ( extremely ) helpful!!!! Thank you very much 👍🙏 I was just looking at the shoes you mentioned in your video on Amazon to much money $250.. be safe God bless 🙏
I own a pair of Cougar Paw boots. Do not, and I mean do not, attempt to use these boots on a wet roof. Cougar Paws even says not to use on a wet roof. I was on a new roof in late fall where the days are warm, but evenings get cold. Was working late into the day and didn't notice the condensation forming on the roof. Went down like I was trying to climb ice. Left a lot of skin on the screws on the way down until the harness stopped any further decent. Do not think these boots are good on a wet surface. One other note, metal roofs collect a lot of fine dust. Might as well be a wet roof, because these boots will not prevent slipping on a dusty roof.
Hi David, I'm going to be a grandma soon, so I spent a lot of time over the weekend looking for amazing Roofers Shoes for my young son. Market Place, a Canadian TV Series did a 2021 segment here on UA-cam on boots that claimed amazing grip. Five out of the 6 boots tested on icy slopes FAILED. Only one passed with amazing colours/colors! There from a company called Wind River, and the graber, "ICEFX". Cougar Paws sound great, of course unless the roofs wet. Stay safe!
You're the man. You helped me I hope it works on the part that hasn't been washed , my metal ridge cap and some other pieces got ripped off in a storm the other day and it's been doing nothing but raining every day. Thanks brother.
The roof pitch on that roof is minimal. Do yourself a favor, stay off a wet roof. If you are cleaning like this dude, do it on a sunny day and work one side at a time from the bottom to the top.
No reason to make fun of you, that's a great idea and, well, you're still alive...how you look isn't important by comparison. Nearly lost my bisquits trying to clean my metal roof. That thin spongy shelf-liner stuff from home improvement stores works pretty well, too. Fairly cheap and comes in small rolls. Glued some on the bottom of an old pair of tennis shoes. Live long and prosper!
The shoe brand Dunlop volley works wonders in most pitches, I would say in the rain up to around 27 degree pitch im comfortable , anything above is a little risky, but can still be done if careful. (Within reason) These shoes are Australian made though, only work excellent if they are clean and the soles are soaking wet, as with the roof
Hey brother thanks. I got cougar paws but the magnetic ones only work on dry metal and the shingle roof cougar paws still slip on a wet roof. I'm getting egg crate foam. Lol. I own a chimney company btw.
Brilliant! What pitch or slope is your roof? I have a 5/12 galvalume 5v crimp. Currently cleaning oak leaves off using a swimming pool brush and aluminum extenda pole. Off an extension ladder. Very time consuming. Lol.
@@michaeldowney8449 I own a powerwashing business and I am supposed to clean some skylights do you think those would work on a 8 pitch metal roof house it's supposed to rain today as well

Slid off a wet metal roof yesterday while using foam. And im on roofs all day every day. Stay off metal roofs when wet.
DUDE!!!! That is AWESOME!!!! Thanks!
If it is stupid and it works, it’s not stupid!
Scary to think that some people don’t even think of the slip hazard when they get up there ouch!
I having the same questions, that helps thanks bro

Thanks a great idea
Interesting idea.
What is the name brand of your powerwash driveway attachment?
The one I have now is a Ryobi
Thank you for your response I have a 7 /12 metal roof that's very hard to clean. The only way it comes clean is scrubbing it with a wash brush.
Dude thanks 🙏 thanks 🙏
Thx
Great idea bro!
GREAT IDEA!!!
It's not worth it, never stand on a wet tin roof
