fun fact: Shaddy Safadi was an artist at naughty dog. He loved Jak and Daxter and wanted to be an artist for a Jak and Daxter Project on the Ps3 (which was canceled). He worked on Uncharted and hated how normal it was. Normal because it was a more cinematic experience and less of a awesome over the top gameplay experience Ps2 player where used. "Drake has a shirt and a jeans. how lame is that. Where is the jetpack?" Only after he played it for the first time he realized the potential for the more cinematic approach in video games. This shows how innovative uncharted was. Even if the true potential of the uncharted series was really realized in the second game.
Uh? This type of cinematic games already existed before, The Geataway 1 and 2 for PS2 developed by PlayStation London was one of the pioneers in this style. It was also BEND's Syphon Filter saga that introduced this DNA to PlayStation games.
@@deadlocked5337 sure they existed but they weren't mainstream. Some Games like Metal Gear Solid were exceptions. Most of the time the story was about fun and didn't have a deeper meaning. And a lot of gamers didn't appreciate them either. The focus in most games was on gameplay and only after that the story. Even in the ps3/xbox360 era this was the case. Just an example. Silent Hill 2 focused on a cinematic approach with focus on the protagonist. Going away from the occult stuff to a more art and movie approach. Back than there was a lot of hate about silent hill 2. Today the game does not only gets its credit. Its one of the most beloved horror games in history.
I know these are probably a bitch to research and make, but keep making them my man. Sooner than later this top tier content will catch the algorithm wave and you’ll be rewarded for your hard work.
Nadine was awful, that fight where they disable moves so you can't win was so immersion breaking that I paused the game and left to do something else for a while.

The train sequence in Uncharted 2 is still really impressive and the older I get, the more I appreciate the technical aspect of that scene

Uncharted is so good. I recently only played them a few years ago. The story and the cinematics are insane
It is crazy how much painstaking effort is taken into a detail like hand positioning when rock climbing that most of us take for granted
Yessir. It's pretty crazy the devs created that
Great video and channel!
Aye thank you! Thanks for watching!
I would love a new uncharted game. Maybe not with Nathan but with new original characters but it takes place in the same world
