I love this game so much. And what really cemented this story for me was the scene where Nate and Elena were at the pirate's table. The look that Elena has and gives Nate while he is discussing what has happened...it is both heartbreaking and amazing. You truly see how much she loves Nate as well as the subtle yet not so subtle realization that this is what they both enjoy and live for other than the love she has for him. This...this moment and many like it are what makes Uncharted so amazing as not just a game, but a piece of truly deep and amazingly human media. In my opinion, there have been very few stories and characters that have grabbed me and really pulled at so many emotions and memories. It doesn't hurt that at the time I was struggling with my own career and failing marriage(which didn't last like Nate & Elena's marriage), but it is something that is truly amazing. It's hard to convey to so many people I know, yet once they experience these games/stories and have been in similar situations....they are truly hard to ignore just how deep and superbly awe-inspiring the medium of gaming truly is and can be. You've done an amazing job here, sir and this series and several like it will always have a special place in my heart and life.

When Uncharted 4 came out I didn't know much about it. And I hadn't played the earlier games and had no knowledge about the story I wanted to buy Watch Dogs 2 but my dad bought me Uncharted 4 I will never know why he did that but I'll always be grateful to him. Since then I've bought the Nathan Drake collection and have played Uncharted 4 about 5 times now.
Uncharted 4 was a masterpiece because they didn’t try to unnecessarily kill off characters and spend way more time polishing gameplay to perfection while just leaving the story half baked and polarizing like The Last of Us 2 did. Uncharted gave some fan service, heightened the stakes of the story and gave some awesome cinematic sequences, and the characters were so memorable. It brought everything to a close in the most perfect way possible and the gameplay and combat was the best it’s ever been. Oh and it was visually breathtaking with outstanding voice acting. It was just a solid 10/10 It’s not like “oh you guys remember that one NPC Drake shot (Ramsay) in Uncharted 3. His son was on that ship wreck and he’s out for the treasure and Nate’s head. If Uncharted 3 was about love, the past and family, Uncharted 4 is about hatred, the present, and revenge. Spend half the game playing as Ramsay the Pirate’s son in Yemen and learn to love his character.” And we’re supposed to eat it up like it’s masterful nuanced storytelling. People act way too pretentious defending TLOU2
I played through all the 5 Uncharted games on ps4 for the first time, in the course of less than a year, and the experience of those stories really did feel amazing. and yes, I said 5. Lost Legacy was also amazing.
I got my ps4 my sister gave me for my birthday. It was a bundle with U4. I still remember feeling empty after finishing it. Absolutely amazing. Also love your channel man. You said here you were in college, are you game a dev?
I recently played and got the platinum for the whole saga, because I realized I had probably missed one of the greatest franchises of all time. Well, I wasn't wrong, what a game and what a series.
Two years ago, a friend of mine borrowed his PS4 console along with a few games: the first three games in the Uncharted series and God of War (2018). Having limited time to play, I checked on the internet which games are the best in the series and I played only the second one, while the others I watched on UA-cam. Uncharted 4 and Legacy of Thieves I bought myself. A Thive's End is one of the best games, from all points of view, ever made. The emotions, the excitement it gave me; the way I connected with the story and the characters' feelings and development. Unbelievable. Thank you for making this video and thank you Naughty Dog for creating such a masterpiece!
Uncharted 4 is one of my all time favorite games. It was the first time in many years I was truly impressive with pretty much every aspect of the experience. I always find it strange when people hate on this game solely based on Neil's involvement with it.
I remember finishing Uncharted 4 for the first time... It truly was one of the best goodbyes ever. Not many games make me feel that way. It's up there with "Guns Of The Patriots," or "Red Dead Redemption II."
This was more realistic take in uncharted series rather than previous ones when without monsters, curses and some mythical stuff. That's why I loved it even more🔥💯
You speak for many! I had the great opportunity to finally play this game on PC and I was blown away. The best thing that happened to me this year and one of the best thing that happened to me in my whole life. Whenever I have a bad day I play this game I and feel better. True masterpiece!!
I had never played in a console since ps2, and a friend o mine borrowed me his ps4 with this game. I had never played any uncharted game nor any ps4... I can't describe the shock i felt since the first minute of game. The graphics, the story, the gameplay... and when i ended prison part, fell on the water and the opening credits started i just couldnt help standing up, clapping and yelling out of emotion. Will never forget it
My favorite part is when Elena pranked Nathan after an explosion..THAT part.. you'd never see that in any video game.. it added more to the humanity of the characters. All those scenes that were acted out in a very normal way.. (also the part where they had a bet on who'se gonna do the dishes over crash bandicoot).. These scenes work twice as much when you know the history of their relationship.. I am one of the million people who are very thankful of experiencing this masterpiece. :)
I remember a year or two ago I was chilling on the couch and was casually playing my PS4 and I checked the new games for free for PS PLUS and that’s when I saw uncharted 4. Right when I saw it I knew.. It was the game
Brilliant review. It's simply an amazing gaming experience. The story the gun play and the melee combat are amazing. It's just a great pleasure to play such a beautiful game. Miss Uncharted so much.
Uncharted 4 was one of the first game series I hooked onto after I was obsessed over the assassins creed series. I literally couldn’t put it down, entirely invested in the story and the beauty of the game itself. The score is gorgeous too. Think when finals are over this quarter, I’ll have to play through it again.
I have only now gotten to play this on PPC, and MY GOD even after 7 YEARS, this game is a mind-blowing piece of media, definitely Hall of fame and one of my favorite games I ever got to play. Right next to Spider-Man, RDR2 and the likes. Thank You, Naughty Dog for creating such a piece of ART! Sic parvis magna!
Seeing a play through of that car chase scene at 3:20 is what made me buy this game- I was absolutely blown away by the scale, speed, physics, excitement , invention of that section- Naughty Dog really push boundaries with what they put in their games-there’s so many parts if this game that make you feel like you’re playing a blockbuster action movie, pretty spectacular
I also noticed that whenever Nate and Elena’s relationship is present, it plays the track “for better or worse”. when he liked to her, it was played at a lower pitch.
I gotta say all uncharted games were great. I see alot of love for 2 but Uncharted 3 had some moments that truly blew me away. Like the ship graveyard and when the ship is sinking and you have to escape.
This game is a masterpiece because, even tho Nathan is very childish, this games writing is very adult, realistic and beautiful. I felt so connected to these characters because they felt so.. real. The moment when Elena found out what Nathan is really doing. This calm ride through the jungle with Elena and this beautiful music. These were unforgettable Moments, that are stuck in my brain till now. And I will probably never forget them. The characters, the story, the atmosphere.. Everything is so well made and beautiful. The ending is perfect and so epic Its truly a masterpiece and definitely in my top 3.
As a person who had several relationship experiences down to marriage. I can say that there were a lot of memorable scenes. But as soon as I experienced the Table of dead pirate captains, I lost it. Additionally when Nathan said sorry with all those emotional expressions and look of his at him broke my fragile heart. I agree, that communication is key in a healthier relationship where we all tend to make mistakes even by the day. Get out there and let them know how much they mean to you right now. You owe it to yourselves of having one another for better or worse.
You want to perhaps try something new when you replay this game is turn on SLO-MOTION especially for the huge action set piece when Nate is hanging onto the rope behind a vehicle for dear life :)
Still the most Beautiful, Magical, Captivating game I've ever had the opportunity to play. Uncharted story will always stick with me and made me appreciate a journal with drawings of my story
When I played uncharted 4 back 2017 i was so baffled by the story graphics basically everything. Every time I play it it's like the first time. It is truly a masterpiece, by the way i still play it to this day and i can't get enough of it😂
I must say playing this game now on the Playstation 5 after having played all the others as well it is a masterpiece. After 3 games it is the last one that nails everything right. Not that Uncharted 2 was bad..far from it. 1 to 3 each had their hickups. But this game is a true mystery to be unsolved. The Pirate puzzle in the tower stands out for me. It was there i realized Rafe's role in all this. And what do you know..he calls right after you figure it out. I still got it man :). This is how a true adventure/mystery game should be. It reminded me alot of the Broken Sword games. The platforming is rock solid or at least stable. The battle is excellent. The Ps-5 controllers make it a treat. The visuals are beautifull. A worthy end to a great series. The love shows in every aspect of the game. You can tell this was Naughty Dogs way of saying goodbye to the series and they did not dissapoint the fans in any way. Every Franchise should wish they can end a series as well as they did.
It’s a good game cause it was “fun”. Not trying to be pretentious but sincere and genuine bringing everyone for a crowd pleasing ride with lovable and consistent characters. Hope to see more games like it from other developers in this industry.
My favorite part is Henry Avery's Story. I mean it's just so damn meaningful. All that sht he created all for nothing because of greed. And the way the game told his story is just so engaging. I still get goosebumps thinking about how The story of henry avery started up to his last moments. just wow
Like even when this game came out back in 2016 and compare to other games at that time and some games now, this game was a groundbreaking and way ahead of it's time. This still stuns everytime. Maybe in another couple years time they could do an older Nate and his teenage daughter on their own adventure. Maybe......?
I’ve always hated when people say uncharted 4’s story was trying to be too dramatic for it’s own good. The games and characters have such a history that it honestly earned it’s drama. Uncharted 4 is hands down my favorite in the series. It was so perfect and it paid off everything we as fans could’ve asked for. Fantastic end to Nate’s story!

I didnt feel that. In fact i felt elena was being very selfish. Nathan loved that, but she was like: dont be like that. I really hated that look.
@@borsho9889 just depends on what you take from it, I guess. Which is why art, games, movies, etc are so subjective in a way. I can see why you would think that, but also take into account that she also loves the exploring and history and all that they've done together. Both of them are trying to be "normal" and in doing so, they're lying to themselves and each other to keep their true nature and wants and needs inside. Both are being selfish for the same and different reasons.
Seems like naughty dog and rockstar has the most amazing memorable games
Agreed something I think CD project red,ea,konami should take notes :/

The chase scene is the best action I've ever seen in a game
It was just a solid 10/10
It’s not like “oh you guys remember that one NPC Drake shot (Ramsay) in Uncharted 3.
The game was so fuckin good that somebody stole the disc version from me but the person who stole the game from me didn’t even play it😂
The graphics are still better than some games today
*cough* lastofus2 *cough*
I’m still waiting for Nolan North to do his full official play through of number 4.
We all are. He should bring back Troy Baker as well on that playthrough.
@@Ay3shizzle that would be fun lol
I absolutely love the Uncharted series. 4 is one of my favourites from the series. But 2 is just 🔥
Uncharted 2 is also my favorite Uncharted game. I’ve played that game over 20 times in my lifetime.
@@apnerds same here. It's just soooo perfect
It has the most satisfying death I could remember in a video game. Made beating the (pretty epic) final boss battle even more satisfying.
One of the best singleplayer experiences ever
Uncharted 4 is one of my all time favorite games. It was the first time in many years I was truly impressive with pretty much every aspect of the experience. I always find it strange when people hate on this game solely based on Neil's involvement with it.
I may not like Neil's work on TLOU 2 but what he did in TLOU 1 and Uncharted 4 was absolutely phenomenal.
I remember finishing Uncharted 4 for the first time... It truly was one of the best goodbyes ever. Not many games make me feel that way. It's up there with "Guns Of The Patriots," or "Red Dead Redemption II."
Nostalgia-a sentimental longing or wistful affection for a period in the past. Yep.
Wish i could play this game for the first time once again... The most important game franchise in my life
This was more realistic take in uncharted series rather than previous ones when without monsters, curses and some mythical stuff. That's why I loved it even more🔥💯
You know a franchise is good when everyone has different rankings of the games
You speak for many! I had the great opportunity to finally play this game on PC and I was blown away. The best thing that happened to me this year and one of the best thing that happened to me in my whole life. Whenever I have a bad day I play this game I and feel better. True masterpiece!!
Still can’t believe how AMAZING this game looks, naughty dog are goated, excited to see what they can bring to ps5 in the years to come
It's my number one Uncharted game.
Will never forget it
the music at 13:33 is just AMAZING
Music name pls
I’ve been a gamer for over 20 years and Uncharted 4 was the best end to a game series I’ve played to date. Simply wonderful from start to finish.
It's unbelievable
Highkey one of the best action tps out there, lowkey, one of the most romantic stories in videogames. Gotta love this masterpiece.
Couldn't agree more. The chemistry reaction between Nathan and Elena peaked in this game. My favorite chapter is “For better or worse”.❤
Bruh this game isnt a masterpiece
Its a game made by the gods
Naughty God :3
My favourite games:Tlou series, unharted 4,battle field hardline, Rdr2 and Gow 2018
I love this game so much words can’t describe it. I still get that sense of awe and wonder whenever revisiting this one.
i realized what the pause elena did in the pirate dinner table meant man the emotion without saying a word. the game truly is a masterpiece.
Well that does it, time to take a break from Ps5 and dust of my ps3 and ps4 to replay all these games 😃
That's the spirit
But you can play these games on PS5...
“Lemme flex my consoles in the comments real quick”
Play on ps5
All the scenes you showed were the ones that really hooked me and I loved them for the exact same reasons you did😭. Perfect game and perfect video
I also noticed that whenever Nate and Elena’s relationship is present, it plays the track “for better or worse”. when he liked to her, it was played at a lower pitch.
Great job assembling this video! You did a great job.
Thanks Moni. I appreciate it 🙏
Whenever i hear uncharted theme song it makes me cry this game is a gem
Man I remember when I first played uncharted 4 for first time on new ps4 I was blowned.
The best game of all time
I jus finished the Uncharted 4 campaign for the first time. It was AMAZING
I gotta say all uncharted games were great. I see alot of love for 2 but Uncharted 3 had some moments that truly blew me away. Like the ship graveyard and when the ship is sinking and you have to escape.
What a world they created. And the soundtrack is so brilliant.
The ending is perfect and so epic
Its truly a masterpiece and definitely in my top 3.
Much respect man!
I will never forget Naughty Dog.
and that's without mentioning the flashback with Evelyn, which was one of the most emotional scenes in games that I could remember.
Take a shot every time he says "Masterpiece"
I will periodically be replaying these 4 games until I no longer feel the need to pick up a controller.
You want to perhaps try something new when you replay this game is turn on SLO-MOTION especially for the huge action set piece when Nate is hanging onto the rope behind a vehicle for dear life :)
The pirate dinner table scene is my absolute favorite personally.
Uncharted 4 is one of my most favorite games,
You're right, I can never forget my experience with this game. I need to replay it again
I mean it so good I play the story 11 times and I am still.
It was truly a masterpiece. A beautiful conclusion to an amazing series.
Still the most Beautiful, Magical, Captivating game I've ever had the opportunity to play. Uncharted story will always stick with me and made me appreciate a journal with drawings of my story
Also, could you tell me what music is playing at 2:30? It sounds absolutely beautiful
Pretty sure its Nate's Theme
It is incredible. I replay it once or twice a year. It still looks and plays better than Anything.
It’s a good game cause it was “fun”. Not trying to be pretentious but sincere and genuine bringing everyone for a crowd pleasing ride with lovable and consistent characters. Hope to see more games like it from other developers in this industry.
This game is still awesome. For me it's the perfect adventure game. The combat story and settings are so incredibly well made. Classic.
Tlou 2 and uncharted 4 are amazing in storytelling
Perfect masterpieces.
Such a beautiful video for such a fantastic game that holds such a huge place in my heart! I love your content dude!!😍
Finally someone talks about the amazing music of Uncharted...its one of the main reasons of making this game a masterpiece
My favorite part is Henry Avery's Story. I mean it's just so damn meaningful. All that sht he created all for nothing because of greed. And the way the game told his story is just so engaging. I still get goosebumps thinking about how The story of henry avery started up to his last moments. just wow
Your channel is kind of an inspiration to me.
The game awards owes Naughty Dog a GOTY for Uncharted 4.
I mean wtf is Overwatch :/
PREACH 😭😭
The only game I replayed around 7 times so far…
Like even when this game came out back in 2016 and compare to other games at that time and some games now, this game was a groundbreaking and way ahead of it's time. This still stuns everytime. Maybe in another couple years time they could do an older Nate and his teenage daughter on their own adventure. Maybe......?
The soundtrack was awesome too
I’ve always hated when people say uncharted 4’s story was trying to be too dramatic for it’s own good. The games and characters have such a history that it honestly earned it’s drama.
Uncharted 4 is hands down my favorite in the series. It was so perfect and it paid off everything we as fans could’ve asked for. Fantastic end to Nate’s story!
I'm not crying, you are😭
Too bad the new movie coming out doesn't have the same feel. I just played the 4th game again. They're all really great games even the 3rd one which was my least favorite.
