I do like how Superman learned from the fight with Zod not to battle in a populated area and instead took it to space

The scariest thing about this was that this Doomsday was created by Lex. The real, true Doomsday that we all know of, is still out there and Synder himself even said it.
So it means the real deal is alot more stronger and that's why superman is OP in justice league and even that superman will have hard time fighting real doomsday?

One thing people can’t deny is that Zack Snyder can make some good looking action scenes. There’s so much oomph behind the hits and speed of attacks.

@@artofduality5046 know this was 10 months ago but I really liked every bit that showcased Dr.Fate's abilities, especially his final standoff. Also liked Hawkman's fight with Adam too.
The fact that Superman had no idea whether he could tank a nuke in his badly weakened state but still threw Doomsday into space and held him there without hesitation until it could hit them both shows exactly why he's Earth's greatest protector.

Doomsday took the brunt of it. I actually think the nuke initially killed Doomsday, and then reanimated and evolved to be more durable after crashing back to Earth.
@@lycanthropic1122 It's also entirely possible that since Doomsday wasn't weakened by Kryptonite, he had no issues tanking the nuke. Superman when healthy wouldn't even budge taking a nuke to the face either.

God seeing this in cinemas was epic AF. My chair literally started shaking from the sound when Doomsday did that explosion thing atop the lexcorp tower. The rising hums in the background as he was lighting up you just knew something was coming and the sheer soundscape alone in that theatre made this whole entire movie epic AF but especially when he did that explosion. My cousin and i look at eachother with goosebumps “woah” ill never forget it

What I love about these fight scenes is that they really do seem almost god like and also unlike in the mcu there's no pointless talking at any point and instead they just keep trying to kill each other.

This is arguably the best superhero fights scenes ever created. The atmosphere, CGI, sound and music and the characters make it truly the greatest .
He saved the man who almost got his mom killed. And he did it without hesitation. That’s why he’s Superman.

This signature is found nowhere, and he does it so well it melds into the movies and make every scene drip with details and solid execution of screenplay and direction, Man of Steel also has them, during those fantastic fights which even put 2020 movies to shame, I think not even 2020 movies will have such depth and high octane action.

It's the subtle details that always get me. When Doomsday appeared in front of the Superman statue he looked at it and then turned to look at Superman. It may be a reach, but I always thought a little bit of Zod's Intelligence still lingered in Doomsday, it was as if he was thinking "They built a statue of you? They worship you Kal"

Edit: Just finished watching Zack Snyder cut and it was way way better. The movie looked way more visually beautiful. Superman black suit was stunning.I wish the studio should let Zack do man of steel 2 and 3 now. Batman looked awesome. The action was way better. Thanks to the fans for bringing this cut into reality.

@@thewise1995 This was not the OG Doomsday. It is mentioned in the movie. Also, this is a newborn Doomsday clone. He was evolving and developing the 'signature' bony protrusions during the fight. He would have started looking like the comic Doomsday eventually. Its a different take in terms of the story so he doesn't need to look like the comic Doomsday.

I feel like this movie is aging well, at first people were cynical because it had a lot to it, but now people are just enjoying the fight scenes

I don’t think the movie as a whole has aged well but the fight scenes definitely have no matter what you think of Snyder’s directing choices and style, the way he makes his shots and his visuals are amazing, and I can say that nearly all of the fight scenes in the movies he’s directed are absolutely amazing, though I’m not a fan of this entire movie this fight scene and act of the film other than of course the Martha scene is nearly flawless in my opinion, I feel like if they had just found a better way to conclude the conflict between Batman and Superman people wouldn’t look down on this movie so much cause people look over how good the third act is cause of the Martha scene. Majority of the issues people have could have been simple fixes with a few adjustments to the script, people really had a problem with the tone, the choice of Batman killing (though i feel like that was the least of the issues), and the execution of lex Luthor. Of course it’s easier said than done but in the grand scheme of things the tone and the execution of lex luthor are minor changes to the script and more so the plot, that would’ve gone a long way

I love the VFX. very well done. I do think the animation is a bit lightweight relative to the size of the character, which makes it feel uncanny. But the integration itself is actually really well done. Love me some good ol CGI in the night. Always works, since jurassic PARK!

I love how Doomsday looks at Superman's statue at 0:30. Remember this Doomsday is a mutated Zod. So this almost feels personal. Especially the soundtrack that accompanies it. It's like "So this is what you sacrificed our people for!".

@@yee3953 The point I’m making is that he couldn’t and he wouldn’t. I think what you were getting at is that he has no upper limit not that he has infinite strength. Otherwise he would win every fight with the slightest twitch of a single muscle fiber. But the point is that he attacks anything around him and if he landed on an inhabited planet then it’s game over for them. But afterwards doomsday wouldn’t have the intelligence to attempt traversal to another planet. Plus it would take him millions of years to do so😂

I graded it a solid B. Respectable overall. The #1 reason this film got hatred is bc it followed Winter Soldier and unfortunately was in theaters like 2 weeks before Civil War.

Theres always something about DC movies, that seems so fantastical, unique and different. The visuals are so fun to watch, it's like looking at live action comic books. It's crazy how much risk they take and I frankly admire it unlike the MCU who make "good" movies just by sticking to the same old formula- Good cgi, Forced humour after every 4 lines for little kids, and some action.

It's a shame the MCU movies are brightly colored and lighted; What audience wants to go to a movie where you can actually see what's happening on the screen.
For those that don't understand sarcasm, My main gripe about the current DC movies (specifically the Snyderverse) is the dark lighting. Even the Tim Burton Batman movies weren't so dark that you couldn't follow the action. With the hero costumes so dark and bland, the background should be brighter so that they can stand out.

This Doomsday was not the real one, but he is strong as hell. The real Doomsday was created alone or by kryptonians, and eventually Zod is not Doomsday. This just shows that Superman was struggling to fight the fake one but if the real Doomsday shows up, Superman would be fucked up.
