Sad day for anyone that cares about these animals. As of this year the Mexican government banned all 7 companies from visiting this island siting no science just fears that... maybe... their behavior would change with time. However, the scientists will still use the same methods for collecting data they are supposedly concerned about. Unfortunately, with far few people and exponentially fewer dollars and hours. During our 3 days we documented numerous regular specimens and new ones that we turned over to researchers. In the years since this one video has reached tens of thousands of individuals and been one of the single greatest experiences of my life. People protect animals they can experience and develop and connection with. If you can't... they may as well be ghosts.
Appreciate it, I put a lot of effort into trying to make it better than average. Definitely go, half a group was scared nervous and the other half was super excited. By the end everybody was absolutely amazed.
Beautiful footage of these magnificent animals! Bet you all had a blast of a good time! I certainly wish I could go shark cage diving, before my cancer takes me out. Wow, such beauty all around you all! How in the world can people say there's no supreme being that created such a beautiful world with so many awesome wildlife and landscape and oceans, with perfection down to every nook and cranny!

I don't normally discuss my spiritual preference online because of so many people having oppositional beliefs, but Yes, I do in fact call the creator of all things our Almighty God, however I also believe that God is all beliefs or spiritual preferences, we just have different names for our Almighty Lord. Religion to me is just man made formalities, and I believe it doesn't matter how you worship. I believe it is good for the soul to learn from other various different or foreign beliefs and customs and I believe all denominations put together brings togetherness within our soul and Creator as a complete wholeness. 😁❤️

I really love Great Whites I try to find all the information about them I can find to learn as much as I can. I would really love to do this you don't understand how much these sharks mean to me. Three people got sea sick for much of the trip, most didn't. What I would say is a few things... They all were glad they went anyway. Those symptoms almost always go away instantly when getting into the water. Bring drugs and herbal remedies like lavender oil just in case.
Being a freshwater angler I've always been blown away by saltwater fish and great whites are on the top of the list I've watched so many videos but the camera is always shaky and jerky the way you guys put this together with the music and the great camera work is excellent thank you for sharing this life experience with us very well put together!
Generally speaking there's no time. That same crew does fishing trips but your crossing over into Mexico as well as a protected marine park so guessing it's not an option.
What drone were you using? Did the birds attack it? I was there with my Mavic Pro and the birds kept attacking it because they are used to hunting small black birds...the Mavic looked too similar. I only ended up getting a couple of short, usable shots. Nice Video. Cheers.
Casey Klaus it was actually Martin's dropping even and let me use the footage. It was a version of a DJI Phantom which is white... so I guess we got lucky!
Most of this video was with a GoPro however I had to color correct almost all of it. If you were to add a red filter I think you would happier at the shallow depths. For the still shots I use a Sony a65 SLT which is no longer in production but there are plenty like it. More importantly in the video, keep your movements painfully slow and steady if possible.
just to add in... polarpro makes underwater filters for gopro's and they have a light orange "snorkel" filter that helped. You are only under the water about 8 feet or so and it's very clear. I shot with 3 gopro's a 4hero black a 3 and 3plus myself on Ryan's trip.
The bars on ours were pretty tight and even the small sharks were way to big. If you are referring to those breaking through it's saltwater so only certain materials are even allowed to be used and certified. The problem in those instances is where the crew have an error or do not follow rules around dragging bait directly at the cages for close encounters.
