That was by far the best White Shark video I have seen in a long time. Natural reactions of shark behaviour without the disturbance of cages, underwater cameramen, chum etc etc... truly amazing !!!!
I just had an encounter with a juvenile great white at Pismo Beach, just north of the pier. Easily over seven feet, I caught a great view of its white belly as it breached out of the water. Confirmed by three other surfers. It was a little unsettling, but also one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I looked up shark behavior as soon as I got home, and found this video. Simply amazing, and absolutely beautiful! Thank you for taking the time to learn about these creatures and share with us. It gives me peace of mind, because I'm paddling right back into the sharks' backyard again tommorow!
I would have to say your the best content creator for this type of film. I treated a patient victim of a great white attack in San Onofre. She was treated at Scripps La Jolla. Since changing her bandages I developed an irrational fear of sharks. I sold my surf board and never got back into the waters. But your voice and video footage is helping me deal with those irrational fears. Thank you!
As a surfer with a debilitating lifelong fear of sharks, this video almost brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for this view into their world. It makes one realize so much of our fear is in our head.
I seriously could watch these all day. And maybe I’ve missed them, but I’m so grateful you don’t seem to show them attacking any other life form. It makes a huge difference in my head.
Must admit never expected that much close encounters. But this actually proofs that shark attacks are really not that common. Glad you did all this videos.

They go straight up to a known food source, stingrays, in this area and still won't feed.. If they're actively foraging, however, they'll actively hunt, stalk and kill humans.
They don't actively hunt, stalk out attack humans as a food source. We are not on the menu for any shark. Sharks don't like eating humans. On one hand people say "you're more likely to die in a car crash than by a shark attack" Often the counter response is "yea but you are in cars every day, you very rarely encounter sharks" This footage really is incredible, and shows how often (and how many) people actually do encounter sharks, and seemingly without even being aware of it. It really highlights how complex these animals and their behaviors are, and how they're not simple robots that only exist to feed. The only reason we don't know more about them than what we do, is because they're so difficult to observe both in terms of quantity and quality. Yet your footage appears to do a great deal of both. Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to see more from you.
@Jon Hesson The point is not really to say sharks are less dangerous than cars - or equally dangerous. It's simply to note that all the stereotypes are based in media-fueled fear, not actual logic and education. The vastly most important thing to understand in order to avoid potential attacks, is to know how to behave around sharks, and understand their typical behavior and patterns too. Behavioral patterns are so important with any animal. But every media outlet typically depict them as something they are not - even "credible" sources like NatGeo, which despite being generally quite objective, still benefit massively from fear-mongering aspect of "sharkphobia". The potential danger around sharks is very real, but the degree of that danger, and the degree to which we can (and often unknowingly do) avoid it is even bigger.
Absolutely love your channel man! You are such a much needed counterbalance to the fear of shark week and similar programs. It's about time we have a new shark narrative.

I stood on the beach as waves would come close to me. One wave came to close, and i stepped back, out of fear. I did not touch the water. That was it. That short moment has became one of the greatest regrets of my life. I was there, face to face with the ocean, and i did not touch it. again, out of fear. As I live in a country without any sea I love the sea very much but I have no personal long-time experiences with it, just some holiday memories. So films and videos complete the knowledge about. The latest pictures about sharks I have seen were taken out of these diving cages, from where tourists can see „the beast“. What a beautiful difference are your videos taken by your drone! We can admire the sharks in their biotope, undisturbed and natural. They are curious, they are just swimming around, sometimes they go for a prey. Always when tourists think they must consume an adventure, they have payed for it, an unnatural spectacle is organized and finally the tourists think: this is nature, that’s how sharks behave. They go to a theme-park in nature, but real nature is something different: you must wait, not disturb the animals and see what will happen this day! Thank you for your efforts to give people the feeling of animal watching in a natural way!
Amazing channel mate. I'm lucky enough to have dived with quite a few sharks and know them not to be the beasts that they are often portrayed as. Great to see such amazing footage being captured and shared to help to demystify these beautiful creatures. Really appreciate you taking the time to capture and share the clips, thank you.

Love this video! I've seen hundreds of sharks over the past 6 years while paddle boarding North San Diego County. Have gotten used to the fact that they're always around and thru personal observation and videos like yours, have grown to love & respect these wonderful animals. I'm hoping you'll be lucky enough to capture one breaching - as it's pretty cool to see a 400+ lb fish in the air! Or when a sea lion turns the tables & chases after them (seen a few times). Keep up the great work! You ARE changing the narrative.
Incredible footage! and eerie how many of these sharks come so close to swimmers and surfers and yet the people don't even know and in most cases, probably don't want to know.
Your site fills me with wonder, and admiration for these incredible creatures. I cannot thank you enough for your efforts. As the founding Organiser for Sea Shepherd New Zealand, we need to protect sharks, and all ocean life. Reduce or stop eating fish, even farmed fish as it takes so much from the oceans. If everyone saw this footage many would change their belief bias against these much aligned essential life-giving animals. Capt Paul Watson : If the oceans die, we die. And sharks are a great part of that.
First person I've heard say good things about Cali in a while. Everyone's always talking about the people problems over there and never the incredible nature. Really insightful stuff on these critters, feel like I learned more here than a well-polished documentary. Cheers bud.
I was born and raised here in CA and it's an incredibly beautiful and diverse state. I've lived in Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, and North Carolina, but I always come back home to California. I've always thought ocean is marine animals' territory, but this footage just hit me even harder. I don't want to ever live in the world where these animals are gone from this environment. I don't want to see the house without its owner.
Thank you so much for the great footage and interpretation. Thank you so much.
I just wanna say that i truly and sincerely appreciate what you do. I live in Minnesota, but I do have minimal experience with the ocean from when i was a kid. I have had nightmares throughout my life of the ocean and sharks, and it has produced what i now consider to be an unreasonable fear of both. Somehow watching your videos has brought me comfort and greatly needed perspective. I sincerely thank you for that. a small story... I visitied Los Angeles maybe ten years back. I stood on the beach as waves would come close to me. One wave came to close, and i stepped back, out of fear. I did not touch the water. That was it. That short moment has became one of the greatest regrets of my life. I was there, face to face with the ocean, and i did not touch it. again, out of fear. But youre videos have made me feel like i need to go back, and not only touch the ocean, but jump in. i cant thank you enough. be well.

How fascinating! I also want to say how much I appreciate your calm narration and lack of annoying music. It really suits the footage. Subscribed.
Thanks so much for sharing this! I loved seeing the sharks and rays together. And the smaller sharks hiding behind the larger ones.
So beautiful , so much passion, Thank You from a shark lover.
how beautiful and smart this animals are!!!! I LOVE SHARKS🙌❤
This Is On Another Level. Great Video
Thanks for all the wonderful footage this year. I just love watching your stuff. Keep up the great work.
Absolutely fascinating - lovely footage and excellent narration. Beautifully done!
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful footage. Thank you so much for the insight into these majestic animals
Glad you enjoyed it
Very graceful in the water. Relaxing to watch!
THIS IS THE SHARK VIDEO I NEEDED MY WHOLE LIFE AS A SHARK FAN, THANKS MAN
Absolutely love these videos. A wonderful escape to another world. Your giving everyone a real look at these wonderfully GREAT CREATURES.
Thanks a ton man!
Absolutely fascinating short documentary. Love the way you raise questions without trying to claiming to have the answers for the often mysterious observations you made. Really well done. And it all supports what I have learned about sharks in the the last ...more than 20 years. Continue the great work ...ocean greetings, Peter
Breathtaking. Gods creation is magnificent. Thank you for capturing and sharing!
I surf and always had an internal fear of a shark encounter but your channel has shown me that I don’t need to be afraid, rather just educated.
Tolle Aufnahmen. Ich hoffe, dass deine Arbeit den Menschen zu einer besseren Sichtweise und Akzeptanz dieser großartigen Geschöpfe verhilft. Mach bitte genau so weiter ✊🏼✨👍🏼
Sooo excited to see this! There’s going to be so much great footage in it!
SAME! Always excited to see yours too!
@@hunterthompson5469 thanks
Love this video! I've seen hundreds of sharks over the past 6 years while paddle boarding North San Diego County. Have gotten used to the fact that they're always around and thru personal observation and videos like yours, have grown to love & respect these wonderful animals. I'm hoping you'll be lucky enough to capture one breaching - as it's pretty cool to see a 400+ lb fish in the air! Or when a sea lion turns the tables & chases after them (seen a few times). Keep up the great work! You ARE changing the narrative.
Well this put me off swimming in the ocean - forever. However, these sharks are beautiful and fascinating.
This is so beautiful! Really stunning creatures! They look so graceful swimming around the kelp forest!
Yep, especially that tiger shark that ate a russian tourist in Egypt recently....so beautiful
@@osarkovaseen that was very sad and unfortunate. its sad that they called the shark afterwards
@@VegaBlendz_ I think they killed wrong shark because its fin was different and smaller
I didn't know sharks could shimmy like a wet dog. That was interesting. How long can your drone stay in the air?
What do you admire so much that my life should be in danger every time I surf? CULL GREAT WHITES OFF THE CALI COAST. ATTACKS ARE INCREASING!

oh hey, sea shepard! fellow kiwi, and have donated to sea shepard :) love the work.
@@erickchristensen746 You all have never encountered sharks in the ocean. I have. That's why your opinion is worth two small farts
This is genuinely one of the best videos I have EVER watch led on UA-cam, the footage, the music, the commentary AMAZING!!!!
Fabulous cinematography.
It's unmatched. Sure, we have our problems, but doesn't everywhere? There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Check out the "California Through My Lens" channel here on UA-cam. I just found it recently and it's like a love letter to CA. Cheers!
cali ... pagan goddess of destruction.
Nature from our Creator is beautiful EVerywhere.
absolutely amazing!! thank you for your videos!
Thank you for posting such mesmerising footage.

Absolutely breathtaking footage from start to finish. I fly drone here in South Africa off the South Coast and have only caught a small hammerhead shark. The insane amount of sharks in those waters is mindblowing.
This is phenomenal! Superb narration and education of great white sharks and how they co exist with surfers out in the ocean and their behaviors. Well put together. Loved it!
Absolutely incredible!!! This is an amazing compilation!!! One of the most interesting and fascinating videos I've been fortunate enough to stumble upon!
Thank you for sharing!
beautiful footage, truly remarkable and great commentary. I really look forward to seeing what you produce in the future and what other observations you make. Really incredible stuff
Great video again. It would be very interesting to see drone footage from of the western australian coast as well. Do you know any pilots there?
This is the best video I have seen in a very long time. Well done.. They are sooo beautiful and misunderstood..
Ok I am so glad I found your page. I have binge watched all your videos and sent them to everyone I know. Incredible stuff. Please never stop filming and uploading.

That's incredible, I learnt so much so thanks for taking the time to create and share
Beautiful, just beautiful. Fantastic footage and great calm, measured non-histrionic or OTT, narration. Well done, that's really important work you are doing. I'm sure that will help to rapidly increase further study of sharks. Thank you for sharing.
We need more of this out there! Really pushing the good fight for sharks.Thank you for sharing this
You are so brave to be this honest. It shows how much knowledge you have on sharks.
So glad youtube recommended me this. What a great watch and narration.
This video appeared in my feed. I am so glad it did, as what you have documented is incredible. Thank you so much for your time and patience, I look forward to following your journey 🙏
Amazing drone footage. the part 9:53 when the Shark seems to clean out it's gills was incredible to watch. thank you. post more please.
Really cool filming and narration. Like any animal or human, we eat when hungry. Great White sharks are not constantly hunting, killing, and eating. I'm sure they enjoy time exploring and experiencing their underwater world much like we do on dry land.
What fantastic footage.
Thank-you for sharing.
I think sharks are the most beautiful creatures.
Great Job my Friend !!
Keep up the good Work.

Many thanks for these great footages. Really amazing what can be learned form simple empiric observations of GWS, an incredible job with scientific value to rehabilitate these beautiful predators.
Nothing is learned through these videos anymore than if I showed you a video of a serial killer taking a dump. To deduce these sharks are harmless because they are not eating people 24/7 is a triumph of well cultivated stupidity over common sense.
