I've always loved the groove and the guitar solos in this song. I had rather forgotten about the song and I heard it on the radio the other day, and remembered how flippin amazing the song is. So today I'm picking up my guitar and jamming along with the song!!!
seen the band 3 times in last 20 years: always progressively creative and innovative. Steve Stone awesome and a really nice guy. There is an obscure video of this concert, which i am fortunate to have in my concerts library !
Those classic ARS guitar solos on this great hit are so amazing........keyboard solo nice too, but I wish more keyboardists would take advantage of the fabulous Hammond B3 sound they usually have at their disposal for solos - that was such a great sound years ago. So sorry I missed ARS at Epcot a few years back and even sorrier I never got the chance to see Dennis Yost and the Classics IV. Thanks for all the wonderful music you gave us, guys.....RIP.
I saw ARS at Northwestern State University in my small hometown, Natchitoches, Louisiana back in the early 80s. I was probably too young to even be going to concerts at the time. I just remember thinking that they were a really good band with some very solid musicians. They sound just as tight today as they did 40 years ago.
Be happy music country is crazy right now protect our children and family always prayers for UNITED States 11321 pray for our newborns babies now god bless America
Every guitargroup should watch this. Its the most excellent live-performance ever of Spooky this classic number one hit. Classics IV did it and members from that group are involved in Atlanta Rythm Section this wonderful live-band that is better today than ever sven lind mora sweden
This Is Such a GOOD SPOOKY SCARY FRIGHTENED CREEPY GOOD 70S SONG! 😬🙂 This Sounds GOOD FOR THE 70S! GOOD 70S SONG! THIS IS MY FAVORITE VERSION I LIKE THIS VERSION OF IT BETTER COOL 70S SONG!👍🙂☺️🎶🎵
I believe that is Paul Goddard playing bass on this show and he was the original bassist with the band, so he would definitely be the one to ace that bass part.
WTF? "GREAT SUSTAIN ON THE STRAT" did you google musical expressions and cool thins to say that might indicate you are in the elite camp of guitar players ? inane comment if i do say so. shit Gerald...i just had to slap that down.
So sad that none of the original band members survived to this day. With all the newer faces, it just doesn't feel right for them to be calling themselves ARS. Please don;t get me wrong the music is great but you gotta have at least one original member in order to call it a true ARS. The keyboardst was the last original member and he died a few years back. Such a loss of good music talent. ALways wll love ARS music. God bless the band.
Alguém tem o video completo desse show?
I see the original logo and... and... well, that's it in fact. Back to the original ARS, the real one, you know, the one with that fantastic singer and the heavyweight bass player and... and... well, that's far from it !
Sounds like the intro was close to original's speed but yeah they did pick up the tempo. I'd like to blame the drummer, but they all seemed to do it together. Foghat...anyone??
Lmao. Sure sounded like it! Capable tribute band however they were rushing it. Bathroom break probably. Barry Bailey is surely missed as well as Ronnie Hammond.
Keyboard player is the only original. 3 original members dead. Song is too fast to have the right feel. Gtr player on left is more true to the original song. Guy on the right is good, but overplays for the what the songs should be. f you want to play 50 notes a measure, do it on an outro. And lastly they should be playing Les Pauls like the oribginal guys to get that classic tone.
Kinda agree with you here they stepped it up a little as for the guitar players another story in itself Using the stats is ok some just don't like a Les Paul me I like a good sounding SG to a Les Paul but don't get me wrong now a Les Paul does kick I have played a few use a few and they are a heavy guitar for sure
Sounds like a rush job, singer even made it sound like it was "obligatory." Ronnie Hammond would have never dishonored this song this way. RIP, Ronnie.
@@communitypark2313 I agree. I was fortunate enough to see the original line-up 2 x. Even better, the core of ARS was a band called the Candymen. They were Roy Orbison’s back up group. I saw them live in 1966. Talk about chills. Those guys were THE best band I have ever heard. I am 71 and have seen over 300 concerts of the best of the best.
We may get old, but this song never does! Love it!
Vita brevis, ARS longis...
RIP Ronnie Hammond. You are sorely missed!!
RIP Dean, your music and your keyboard playing will live forever

Great guitarists, great band, great song, well done. Proud of my Georgia - good guys.
Wow ....They still got it!!!❤❤❤
Excellent guitars, which is the main reason I was attracted to this song! HELL YA!!
Thank you Troops for keeping us safe.
Great band Great guitarist 🎸
Love the singer dudes camera antics.. cracks me up.
seen the band 3 times in last 20 years: always progressively creative and innovative. Steve Stone awesome and a really nice guy. There is an obscure video of this concert, which i am fortunate to have in my concerts library !
Bought first ARS album in 1976, still play them frequently, just a cool band with a cool groove, always puts me in a good mood.
Absolutely awesome song & band ❤
Great song !
American horror story brought me here incredible band vocals and twin guitar solos fucking fantastic performance
One of my favorites!
Saw you in Austin Texas at the Paramount Theater in the 70’s
Thank you so much for this, I loved watching the video and the audio is great. Love this song so much
going back to dennis yost,,i enjoy this ole great song...
The best folk rock band since Classics IV
Much of this band was actually in the Classics 4.
Much of the original members but not these particular ones.
good,good,music forever.
much luv! thx!!! great tune!! never ever forgotn!!!!

Sounds just as good live, wow

But unlike the band of 40 years ago, I presume most of these guys are still alive.
Right there's some reeaally Good Guitar !
oh yea these guys rock

Don't mean to be an ass, but you know little about music. A terrible, insulting performance.
I think your hearing is shot.
Should have seen them in 1977... But these guys weren’t them...
Awesome, beyond words ❤
The GOAT's!!!!
This Is Such a GOOD SPOOKY SCARY FRIGHTENED CREEPY GOOD 70S SONG! 😬🙂 This Sounds GOOD FOR THE 70S! GOOD 70S SONG! THIS IS MY FAVORITE VERSION I LIKE THIS VERSION OF IT BETTER COOL 70S SONG!👍🙂☺️🎶🎵

Always reminds me of doobie bros!
bad ass!!!!!!
🦋Amazing Song and I loved it you Guy's sound the same🦋👍
Cool !!
Happy Friday the 13th everyone! God bless you all! This always be great over and over again! 💋
Bassist nails it.
I believe that is Paul Goddard playing bass on this show and he was the original bassist with the band, so he would definitely be the one to ace that bass part.
Since 1982 till now, well i just can' t get enuff...
Excelente !
Nice! I would have slowed it down a little. But the solos rocked
Sad day today🙏
Excellent tune. The studio version is much better. This one the play it like they want to hurry up and get it over with.
Do not compare and enjoy.........
Good Music
Wonderful
Great sustain with the strat !
WTF? "GREAT SUSTAIN ON THE STRAT" did you google musical expressions and cool thins to say that might indicate you are in the elite camp of guitar players ? inane comment if i do say so. shit Gerald...i just had to slap that down.
I know this record SPOOKY has more meaning To US Nam Vets 67-68 TeT ... Fire from the SKY.. 🐻
Strat trying hard
But, will never replicate the gold top.
But still great.
The song is racing away.
Maybe he's just excited.
maybee jus excited
Drummers need to accompany the band like Ringo always did. Drummers need to ride instead of drive.

Rest in peace J R Cobb
Posers. No Ronnie Hammond, No Barry Bailey. No ATLANTA RHYTHM SECTION!! That imposter guy should be greatful he gets to sing this song every October.
Dennis Yost's version is still the best!
Yep it's a race to the end
a little faster tempo or not, they play awesome dudes.
🎶💞🎶

Wondering when this was
Almost like a tribute band as most if not all of the original members have either died or left..
I see the original logo and... and... well, that's it in fact. Back to the original ARS, the real one, you know, the one with that fantastic singer and the heavyweight bass player and... and... well, that's far from it !
Tempo way too fast-- the beauty of this song was it was a bit of a slow burn.
You're absolutely right! What a pity!
Sounds like the intro was close to original's speed but yeah they did pick up the tempo. I'd like to blame the drummer, but they all seemed to do it together. Foghat...anyone??
Well said Tony....slow burn
The beauty of this song was its 'atmosphere'.
I agree. Gotta be slow on this one.
Who is that guitarist that sounds exactly like Barry Baily ??
It has a twin song Stormy
is somebody in a hurry for the washroom !!!!!!
They're old
Lmao. Sure sounded like it! Capable tribute band however they were rushing it. Bathroom break probably.
Barry Bailey is surely missed as well as Ronnie Hammond.
Solo hay 1 de la 1ª formación, creo, o ni eso, ya no es lo mismo pero buenos estos son buenos musicos tambien!
Too bad there's no original members here. Got to see the original lineup a few times back in the day.
Omg!! Awesome Performance.... But he looks like Woody Harrelson, LOL!!!!
Love ars. But someone erased the video "am not gonna let it me bother me tonight
blackfoot was the best group
Woody Harrelson is a pretty good singer. Who knew?
😂
Natural born singer
or the beer
Where is Paul Goddard on bass?
Paul passed away around 2012 I believe. Got to see him twice.
yup kicked it up a bit too much, but far better than me

Part of the beauty of the song's story was the slow burn because, well, he's getting the slow burn. I'm not a fan of this rush.
Thanks. I just discovered this band . Good to know which original members are still there. I agree about the tempo and the Les pauls.
He has "shredder" tendencies.

Missing Barry’s Les Paul.
I didnt know Bill Burr could sing
I know Rodney justo was the original singer in this band, but he ain't no Ronnie Hammond.
How is that ARS Half those guys were craping in there diaper when ARS was playing.
Concert au Château de Dompierre 87190 FRANCE info@chateaudedompierre chateaudedompierre.com
We had great band come from georgia, but now nothing but black s
I wish that drummer would play instead of noodle.
Shame it lost it's original feel with this up tempo version :(
Totally disagree:)) Here,too!!
Just like Skynyrd and hatchet.
I wouldn't waste my money or time.
Not bad
But not original.
I'm too old to argue with over that
Macon Georgia police shot him to death for no reason but he was drunk Why
Not true.
or the coke
Almost like he's making fun and belittling a great song. Not to mention sounding off key and fucking it up!
Way way too fast. It's lost it's groove here. But they know this. And I guess are just trying to muscle through it and go home.
Nee
None of these guys are the originals
Looks like a cover band. Boring musicians. They can't compete with Hammond and Cobb and Bailey.
Dean Daughtry the keyboardist is original
Keyboard player is original.
Give them credit for honest effort...but this version did not give me chills. There is no replication for the original ARS line-up....
@@communitypark2313 I agree. I was fortunate enough to see the original line-up 2 x. Even better, the core of ARS was a band called the Candymen. They were Roy Orbison’s back up group. What a boring crowd. I would have to dance and sing along... you know how ppl do when having fun!
All the purists can crawl under a pumpkin.... The band is on fire, no question. Fact!
I don't think so. 😄
That's not Atlanta Rhythm Section, that's just a cover band.........
lame...lead vocals are not even close, tempo is way top fast. The original funky feel is lost totally....
I’m sorry. But this is just an insult to the memory of Ronnie and Paul. WTF is this crap.
It is too fast and the singer isn't singing, he is talking. They need someone with a voice, he is not the one. It's a disaster imo...
Great song but it was like they were doing to black Beauties 10 Mg Yoazza
