I learned more then everything. I learn that what I was doing is right and it's taken me to the right path of progress. I already was but I didn't believe. But now I do. It wasn't the video it was before the video
Thank @kazone art for creating this amazing content and closely following the life of our master KJG, thanks to this kind of videos we can access his thoughts and his particular way of seeing the reality that surrounds us and capture it in the drawing
I feel lucky to live in this era, everything he does and says it's simply stunning. My dream is to become an artist, I hope to become even a part of what he is to me. Thanks Kazone Art for the video
Thank you very much Kanoze Art for creating this content in such an inspirational way. This is truly a movie, and it really has inspired me to learn and become a better Artist. Kim Jung Gi is my role model.
Great video! The point made on how illustration and art share many common elements, also resonates back to some notes I took on how the writer composes themselves when they are writing a story. A conversation with Kim Jung Gi is the gift that keeps on giving since the knowledge and information he shares seems to compound and further develop into other areas of understanding. Once again another great resource to add to the library of resources. It would be interesting to get some insight into the library of resources (i.e Books, Photographs, Videos, Literature, Audio,) that Kim Jung Gi has built during his years of learning.
Looks like he’s working on hair. He once said he doesn’t draw hair much. Either bald people or helmets. 😂 he’s definitely working on it from the looks of that. Unreal as always. Makes me want to start drawing on the wall.
‘’Sports, Cooking, Comedy, Science, Math, Art, and Story telling, there are geniuses in every walk of life, but only few will ever choose to be a master of their craft” - some random Manga that I forgot the name of.
Does he ever use photo references or does he always draw cold, right from his imagination? Plus he doesn't use any block-ins or guidelines? Unbelievable skill. I really think scientists should scan his brain while he's drawing to see how the visual part of his brain works.
No. There's an interview with proko where Kim Jung Gi says he only sees things once and store the image in his memory. He has visual library inside his mind and when he draws he's relying on that visual library.
I swear to god if I'm able to someday draw with my imagination, I qould be the most happiest artists ever, I would draw mostly everyday until I worn myself out from drawing
Even without the drawing skill, how do you come up with all this stuff to draw, when I doodle, I create one character and then I'm pretty much out of ideas lol 🤷♂️ So what's he saying, go watch more movies and draw like a movie set 🤔😅
Study objects, whenever you think of a general concept, Google all the individual parts and look at all of it's shapes. Then take those shapes and rebuild it in 3D into your perspective. Remembering objects in 3D is its own skill that requires a lot of training.
Wait whats this video towards too...? Its kind of confusing. Isnt this video meant to be about "putting story in your art " (for artist or upcomming artist) or is this video about Asian Americans or the film industry? This video is kind of all over the place a little don't you think.
Like the beginning of the video it was ok it was somewhat telling us to use effects and to use the film industry to help create and give us ideas to create a story in our art. But then it started to get into the film industry and Asian Americans and nothing to do we art or creating a story....we do love me kim Jung gi and his backstory, himself and his wants, etc. But the video was title and the video missleading and and didn't really make much sense of it purpose or the English translation was not right or worded correctly.
I don't think Mr Kim produce this video I think he just wanted to draw or the producers/directors just made a few mistake, or didn't have enough time,etc.....srry for my banter hopefully the next video will be more thought out and stuff....love y'all
I agree with the confusion of delivering what message exactly. I notice the bottom left corner is specifically an Indonesian's Java theme (I see Indonesian rickshaw and woman with hijab), so maybe the whole drawing is about different cultures in Asian's countries.
I've seen him drawing for 3 years now but this is the first time I see him walking... it's just strange to recognise that he also has legs
and fishs for feet
😂 🤣😂 🤣
are you hieumayart?
0:35 those are the keys to success
Yep. I'd wear the shit out of these fish flip-flops, I bet I'd become an amazing artist in a very short time too!
ordered a pair of them
😀👍
Great video ! Since he passed away this gives me really goosebumbs ! Rest in Piece KJG !
Had no idea he passed away…
@@heekyungkim8147 he did unfortunately
@@Janos.Artzone sad. He was quite young… and genius. It magical to watch how he draws..
*Got his 2018 sketchbook for christmas, love this guy :)*
rest in peace legend 😢

I already was but I didn't believe.
But now I do.

It's good to have self confidence. Something I think 99% of artists need to learn through experience.
@@Drewsel no actually it's self control and believe to be an artist. Also yes experience is key
Jesus loves you
I need those fish flops 😂 he’s amazing as always
Love you guys and Gi! I’m planning on getting his anatomy course soon!
Please tell me, how do you get his anatomy course
Not worth it

With those slippers I might also be able to walk on the path of greatness.

That brush works so well. What is it? Very durable
Rest in peace to a master
mais quel génie !!!
He is The best drawer i ever saw! 😂
sorry this question is a bit irrelevant but does anyone know where to find that shirt with the bees on the sleeves?
He should be designing and storyboarding films, or Asian Americans who want to make cool films should hire him to do so.
Actually a video not dislike, great.
Love this. Thanks for the insight into your process. Adding this video to our February 2020 Art of Storytelling playlist.

I don’t have a long enough attention span to watch movies, therefore I read books. It helps me to imagine what the character would look like
Leyenda
Where can I get fish shoes like jung gi ?
Imagine how expensive one of those original poster like pieces is 🤑

Did he just draw...without some blurprint or first draft guidelines smth..
I would kill 7 people to have his talent.
Me: Natural talent is a myth, there's only skill and aptitude
Kim Jung Gi: Hold my ink brush...
He is drawing almost 12 hour a day .. everyday.. if you can draw that much and put time in for years, you can be there too.
Not bad
Life is so unfair.
Just practice for 40 years bro
