  • Ego is known for making some the highest quality and best performing battery powered outdoor power equipment. Their Blowers are widely known for amazing performance and when I saw that they were releasing a battery powered pressure washer, I was was very excited to get my hands on it. I had seen a few videos on this unit but I waited till it was available and purchased it from Lowes so I could get a real feel for the production model and give you my honest opinion on this unit. I test the performance with each nozzle and at each power setting. I also test the actual run time and make some recommendations to optimize this unit for washing cars... ENJOY!!!

    The kit for ~$800 seems like a pretty good deal considering the 6ah batteries are listed for $350 each, an even sweeter deal for those who already have EGO tools that use those batteries.

    Great review. Got mine a week or so ago and did my first wash with it the other day and its performance was OUTSTANDING. In short, if you are looking at a new pressure washer for your car or anything that will require a pressure washer this is IT. Thank you for letting me know about the 3.0 orifice as well. Will be getting one of the OG Mosmatic Nozzle with a 40-degree.

    The EGO pressure washer is a perfect unit for those like myself who live in a rental community and either don't have access to running water or proper power. My detailing garage is about 50 feet away from my washpad and have setup a cart using a Worx Hydroshot the last two years but it has limitations. For one the hose is short and very stiff because because of the molded power cord from trigger to the motor plus the performance is lack luster but gets the job done. I'm less than two weeks away from ordering this for a major upgrade with the EGO!

    Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.

Thanks for the video and unfortunate good news lol Too bad they didn't bring this out last year. I’ve got the Ego mower, blower, trimmer and hedge cutter and love them. I have 2 batteries to run them and it works fine. For a pressure washer I don’t see the value in battery power, especially the high price and extra batteries. For me a corded electric pressure is fine and much less expensive.

    I've been using a Worx Hydroshot for the last few years, its not like a Kranzle but its really compact and gets the job done. For me as a weekend warrior living in a condo is one of the few solutions when the car gets a bit too dirty for a rinseless.
    After seeing this I'd say, if you have the space to store it, have access to water near the car and you don't have to go through ramps or stairs carrying stuff like me, this EGO one seems to be a way better option

    • @josephnaras
      @josephnaras 3 місяці тому

      Run time should be the same regardless. The run time is determined by power (in watts) used. Since this has no variable trigger and it is set power levels, as long as the system is running, it should be pulling consistent wattage regardless of the head, wand, or nozzle. Only thing to do to improve the run time is to use lower power settings or get bigger batteries

  • @Boon-ie1rq
    @Boon-ie1rq 27 днів тому

    Battery might be expensive but it pays for itself.
    Also you can often sale the batteries from your kits or old batteries to offset cost.
    Like with any other tools and a bit of luck, you can catch all sort of sales throughout the years.
    Gotta pay a bit more for their quality and expertise.
    If you're invested, it's well worth it especially if you own a few 12ah batteries.
    With that said, The new pressure washer and wet dry vacuum is on the higher price but they do the job really well.

    If EGO would of also incorporated a OPTIONAL ability to hook into a Electrical Outlet (Pull-Cord) with the Ability to Charge the TWO batteries While in the OPERATING COMPARTMENT, Basically Operate as BOTH Electric & Battery, this would be the perfect Power Washing Machine…Hands Down! You mentioned that it took 1hr / 1:15 to recharge, this way the Consumer could just use the unit to recharge & EGO could Ditch there charger for COST 💲 SAVING$!!!!! Just My 2 Cents!!

      PLUS….With these battery operated Power Washers, don’t they loose performance as the batteries 🪫 loose power/charge??????

    I wonder if they'll try to make an air compressor. If they do that, for a mobile detailing setup I feel like you could eliminate a gas generator and run purely off of batteries, since they already have a vacuum, pressure washer, and air blower for drying. Am I missing anything that would need power in a mobile setup? And then if you have solar to charge those batts, you could be running off of free clean power. The question is how long it would take to pay all of that off versus just using the traditional setup. Not to mention a lot of homes will let you use their power.

    Hello, hopefully this message gets to you. Being a lithium ion battery, you should never fully discharge the battery.
    On the other side you also dont want to leave them on the charger for an extended time.
    I dont want to promote other websites, but let me know if you'd like resources that support the above information.
    Also recommended recharge for lithium ion is between 50 and 100 so if you finish up a job dont hesitate to throw it back on the charger to full charge and take off.
    Hope this helps!

    This is one of those things that is great if you need it, but a waste of money if you don't. If you have power available you can get a better pressure washer with no limits on the amount of time you can use it.

    Gotta look at it as a kit, each ego battery is expensive, so really its a great deal if you plan on buying more ego products. Batteries alone expensive af.

    You can get an active 2.0, reel, kobrajet, etc mounted in a mobile detailers van for less than this kit and have way more modularity, freedom to buy accessories, and way more gpm..too much proprietary stuff like the foam cannon, gun and more.

    800$ for a battery pressure washer , I'm sure it's because the batteries are expensive that being said might as well buy a PowerBar and hoop up your pressure washer to it
