You were bothered by some of the tubes being off center. Sometimes, imperfections make things uniquely perfect. This piece is awesomely unique!
Their being slightly off center gives it a more dynamic feel.
I’m really digging this groovy bowl.
It also looks more hand made as well. Thanks!
@@SpragueWoodturning yes but I also understand when you want something to turn out a particular way and it's slightly off. But it definitely works here. Such a creative piece!!
I agree, I love it!
It's a very beautiful piece. I actually like that not all the pipe pieces were perfectly centered. It helps the piece stand out as a unique item. For me, it's a sign that there's a craftsman behind it, not a computerized manufactured piece. Thank you for sharing your craft with us.
Thank you very much!
My first thought was Dr. Seuss. Like this bowl should be in one of those books. So cute.
Thanks so much! 😂😂
Possibly the most peacock looking of all your bowls, especially because of the resin collar 🥰
Thanks so much!
I really like the thick, heavy, bulky bowls.
This one is again so beautiful. I also find it actually nice that some of the red dots are not in the middle. It looks more handmade.
Thank you very much!
This bowl came out so pretty! It made me think of a Blue Ringed Octopus!
Others have mentioned that as well. Thanks
I love the bowl, I even love the off set red eyes. I am not a turner I just enjoy craftsmen making beautiful pieces of art work. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Awesome! Thank you!
I'd be calling that a peacock bowl. It's gorgeous.
Thanks so much!
I found you on UA-cam about a week ago. I'm obsessed! Watching you is inspiring, not to mention*VERY relaxing. *(Much like a cup of herbal tea or a whiskey.)
Thank you!
Whiskey! Yes, lol. Thank you very much!
Jim, this piece is INCREDIBLE! I think the off-center copper pieces MAKE it perfect. And that rim ... *chef's kiss*
Congrats to the winner of this amazing art piece and Jim, thank YOU for sharing your talent every week. You're truly a joy to watch.
Right on! Thanks so much!
I showed my wife this video and she loves this bowl. Great project, and we love seeing how you push your self creatively. You have also inspired her to start using Designer Epoxy for her own projects.
Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
My husband and I have been watching you for a year or more now and I finally plucked up the courage to give wood turning a go.
I made a paper towel holder! 😂
Thank you sharing your skill with us.
Emma and Mark in New Zealand
That is awesome! Have fun!
Also reminds me of peacock feathers because of the color. Nice work as always Jim.👍
It does! Thanks
Hi Jim, this is taking inlay to another level, you're creativity never ceases to amaze me
Thank you so much!
Wow, Jim, just wow!!!
This piece is so unique and beautiful. I love that you added the copper pipe, with the red resin. Adding a bit of something extra. This bowl, is truly stunning. As always beautiful job, and great video. Thanks so much for sharing.❤❤❤😊
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
It made me think of the symbol on the wings of a Spitfire. Beautiful piece of art.
Thanks
Congratulations Charlene Taylor! You are receiving a spectacular work of art by a Master Craftsman! Enjoy
Thank you so much!
Love the resin on the rim, ties the colours together so well. Black walnut is outstanding. Thanks again Jim for showing us such great art.
Thank you very much!
You're right about the spider's eye! Creative as always.
Designer Epoxy
Thank you! Cheers!
Very unique. When I first saw what you were doing I did not think I would like it, but after seeing the finished bowl--Wow! This turned out great. Congrats to Charlene on winning a beautiful bowl.
Awesome! Thank you!
I love it! The one that isn’t centered reminds me of a peacock feather. Gives me an idea of making a peacock bowl! The rim is a plus. Nice work, thanks Jim!
Thank you! 😊
A peacock inspired piece was what I thought first.
2 sizes of copper pipe, one inside the other with different colours, then inside the cutouts in the wood?
The Bowl is stunning ❤.. beautiful Art. Thank you for sharing and explaining your process making your Bowl’s 🙏🏻
Thanks so much 😊
The grain on the walnut is lovely, and I like that all the centers are not perfectly aligned. It gives it character. Or maybe it just reminds me of googly eyes. 😃
Thanks so much!
You are a definitely a leader in your industry when it comes to in-lays. You always seem to push the limits with your in-lays, and you pull it off every time too. Thanks for this weeks video. I look forward to them every week.
Designer Epoxy
I appreciate that! Thanks
Absolutely stunningly gorgeous Bowl Jim. Congratulations to the winners. Take great care and keep creating and smiling.
Thanks, you too!
Another amazing piece Jim!! You never disappoint.
Thank you for sharing your amazing talent!!
My pleasure! Thanks
Mom loves polka dots! Her response was FINALLY! Lol.
I’m a copper fan so I love this too!
Lol. Thank you very much!
Great bowl. Leaving the thin strip of Designer Epoxy around the rim of the bowl was a great accent. The off center copper pipes actually in my opinion made this piece look even better. Great job.
Thanks so much!
The outro when you said it was going to be a bowl explosion I thought about how the inclusion of one letter in the first word would make it a completely different video! 😂😂
Sure, lol. Thanks
Call it Angel Eyes 😊. I love the piece but will say the thumbnail didn't do it justice. I skipped over a few times because it didn't grab me. I'm glad I finally watched. Thanks again Jim, another great piece 👍
Fair enough! Thanks for watching!
I really love this bowl. It looks like a planet from another galaxy that’s been hit by meteorites it’s fantastic.
Thanks so much!
I’m just glad you wore safety glasses, my husband is an eye doctor, he frequently has to remove metal from patient’s eyes that didn’t wear eye protection when doing wood working, lawn work etc…
The bowl is another stunning piece of art!
Designer epoxy
Always wear safety gear! Thanks for watching!
That's a magnificent piece and Charlene Taylor us a very very lucky winner! Congratulations!
Thanks very much!
Was meaning to watch this for a week or so now. Glad I finally did.
I also watch a lot of metalworking videos so it's neat to see creative things done with copper pipe. I'm glad you plugged it in one of your more recent videos (even if it was already in my playlist lol).
I do also love the resin ring. Compliments the dots and it'd just be a waste to turn all of the resin outside of the dots away.
Awesome! Thanks!
I really like that you left the resin on the rim. It really sets it off.
Thanks so much!
Jim, Glad to see you switch to real time more often. I was very surprised at the outcome. It turned out to be one of my favorites. Change a few colors and it's a peacock bowl. I'm Always Amazed at your Creative Talent!
Thanks so much!
Such a cool bowl! Charlene is very lucky. Love the turquoise and the rim. Glad you didn't turn it away.
Me too!! Thanks,
I like the off-center spots, they give it carrecter. Still can't spell right. It's a number one in my book. Great job. She's going to love it. 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Thank you very much!
This looks great, my wife told me it reminded her of a blue ringed octopus. I looked it up and it's uncanny!
Interesting! Thanks!
At one point when you were showing the bowl after the first coat of finish, there was an optical illusion happening and it looked like the inside of the bow was the outside, and my brain was telling me what I was seeing with the rim was impossible! It's really pretty!
My gosh, I should have watched all the way to the end before commenting! Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
While I'm not a fan of this particular piece, I am absolutely a fan of the process and your method! You are an inspiring craftsman, a true artist. I love watching you work and problem solve.
Wow, thank you!
6our followers keep growing week by week. A real testament to the quality of your work and the enjoyment of your videos.
Beautiful looking bowl, what a great idea!
Thank you very much!
Looks like a peacock tail. I love it. Designer Epoxy
Thank you very much!
I really like that the fact that some of the copper pipes are off centre. I think it gives it more character
Thank you very much!
I like the copper pipes not being exact! It feels more natural.
Also, really enjoyed all the new camera angles!
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for watching!
I like the off-center red dots--more organic and groovy.
Thank you very much!
The bowl is soooo pretty!! I love the polka dots, it was an amazing idea! Thank you, Mrs. Sprague for liking polka dots!
Thanks, Jim for another great video!
Thank you so much!
Jim the imperfections is what makes it so great and as it was spinning it really reminded me of a disco ball. I find it truly amazing what you can do with a little Designer Epoxy, a piece of wood and a lot of creativity. Well done!!!
Thanks so much!
When you added the finish the copper really showed up. I love that you left the resin on the lip. Black walnut is beautiful.❤
Thanks so much!
I was super impressed that you managed to fill that bowl without spilling a single drop of resin into your pressure pot. I would have had it everywhere! Lol! The wonky dots give the finished project a whimsical vibe. So fun! Congrats to Charlene!
Thanks so much!
I was so close!! Congrats Charlene! Gorgeous piece, again, Jim. With those copper pipes at the bottom of the holes, it reminds me of peacock feathers. Maybe that can be your next peacock bowl.
Thanks 👍
I think you found your accent for a peacock bowl. Ty for taking us along
Thanks for joining me! 👍
I think the polka dots are very cool, and the colour is amazing!
Thanks very much!
thank you for giving the run down of turning copper inclusions and how it effects the tools! that saved me some sorrows.
Glad to help! Thanks!
I love this bowl. It's so playful and bright.
Thank you so much!
Dwayne was too big, must’ve gone with Chris then? 😂 The polkadots with the copper pipes remind me of Turkish eyes.👀. Really appreciate the color contrast in this piece green or blue, as always, excellent work. ~Smile oN
Thanks so much!
My wife really liked the bowl. Keep those creative juices flowing.
Thank you! Will do!
Good stuff, Jim! Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Thanks so much!
I LOVE that they aren't perfectly centered, it makes it whimsical! But I'm an abstract artist so I'm a bit biast to asymmetry and the perfectly imperfect. That blue is 🤩😍🥰💙💞 I really love every aspect!
My vote for a name is Dr. seuss! i started thinking "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish"! Like I said, it's a whimsical and fun piece, great job, Jim!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate it!
I think it’s pretty cool looking, your imagination never ceases to amaze. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much!
Jim its such a joy to watch you make such beautiful bowls and vases. You have a talent for this kind of work. Another beautiful bowl, the looks a dot get your moving. 😁😁
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it. Would love to see it with peacock colors. I think that would be gorgeous.
Thanks so much!
I love the walnut, it really is one of my favorite woods, the polka dots are very cool, I love it
Thanks very much!
This bowl is beautiful and it reminds me of the colorful feathers of a peacock...
Thank you very much!
I really like that Jim, except the spider's eye 😂 That was an excellent project!!
Thank you so much! Lol
The colors went perfect with it's design, awesome job; Gratz to the winners.
Thanks Jim.
Thanks 👍
This might be my new favorite!! It almost has a peacock vibe. The rim sets it off!!! You never fail to impress with your talent!! 💜
Thank you so much!!
The turquoise color of the resin is very nice, so glad that you were able to keep the ring on the rim. Congratulations to the winners, I am sure that they will love it.
Thank you so much!
Coolest little peacock bowl I’ve ever seen. Love it.
Wow, thank you!
Gorgeous bowl, looks like eyes looking back at you.
I think so too! Thanks
I like the way some of the pipes were off centered. Gives it character.
Thanks
What a fun piece! The polka dots remind me of the "eyes" on a Peacock feather!
Thanks 😊
This is an happy bowl ... I love it so much, it got some og the 70th's look.
Thanks so much!
Happy accidents! Sometimes OOPSIES work out for the best. I like it... I like it a lot!❤
Thank you very much!
Great job on this piece, Jim. It turned out beautifully. Designer epoxy.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the idea. I think it gives off peacock vibes. 🦚
Thank you! Cheers!
It is kind of giving peacock feather vibes. Very cool.
Thank you very much!
The polka dots could be made in teardrop shapes to make peacock feather eyes!
Totally, thanks!
Love that turquoise with the walnut. Beautiful piece.
Thank you very much!
You turned a boring wood bowl into something really cool! Another artistic victory!!
Thank you very much!
The off-center pieces remind me of peacock feathers. If you do this again, maybe they should ALL be off-center.
Another beautiful piece.
Thanks!
I like the off set look on the outside. The colors make me think about a peacock, not spider eyes. Thank you for keeping in your change of the waste block.
Glad you like them! Thanks 😊
I wasn't sure starting out it would look as good as it did. It turned out fantastic. Very creative. That is a great way to handle knots. Not being perfectly centred makes the dots more interesting too. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers.
Thank you! Cheers!
Love the final result. The off-center hole is perfectly imperfect.
Agreed, thanks
I have never looked that closely at a spider's eye, so I can not compare the two.😂 the bowl turned out beautiful. Very creative and fun! Using the copper tubes this way opens up a whole new world of patterns. Great work as always!
Thanks so much! 😊
Copper and turquoise with dark walnut? You could almost have made that bowl for me. My favourite stone, my favourite metal, and one of my favourite woods. Stunning.
Thanks so much!
I've been binging on your videos after discovering your channel a week and a half ago and I just love your talent and creativity. I watch a lot of resin and woodturning videos, and I'm just so drawn to meshing of the organic and inorganic materials with bright colors. Your channel has become my new favorite *by far*! For me, you strike the right balance of knowing when to speak and knowing when to let the focus be on the project, you use *amazingly* vibrant colors that I just really love, you seem so passionate about creating beautiful things, and you are both relaxed but educational as you explain the work. I've never touched a lathe in my life but I thought I had a good understanding of the basics of how to turn, but you've given me so much knowledge! I love to know about the process of making things even if I never experience it myself. Thank you for producing these awesome videos and I can't wait to see what you create next!
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching!
Jim, I really love this bowl. Your use of color and inlays really have elevated this bowl to a higher level. I also love the brilliant sheen of the walnut. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent.
Thank you very much!
Your explanation of what you are doing and the reasoning behind your choices is excellent! Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated!
Amazing bowl - congrats to Charlene :) Love the concept - what an awesome idea to fill copper pipe with resin to give you that look. Love the colours - beautiful turquoise blue. Have a lovely weekend.
Thank you very much!
It looked like the copper was floating in the resin, what a great idea! Gotta like that new t-shirt too!
Thanks so much!
So unique! The copper adds another dimension and the resin ring on the top adds so much. Great job!
Thanks so much!
Jim!! Love this technique!! Please use it again. Congratulations on 105,000 subscribers. Your skill and creativity entertain us every weekend.
Thank you very much! Will do!
I love this piece so much. I think you should call it The Copper Eye.
Cool name. Thanks
Its name should be the Spider's eye bowl! Looks great!
Thank you very much!
I love it!!! The blue rim is perfect.
I think that the off-centered "eyes" add character. 🥰
Thanks so much!
This one is so beautiful and unique! It reminds me either of a peacock motif or a spaceship for some reason, I can't decide! Thanks for another great vid.
Thank you! 😊
Im sure many told you how unique this piece Is!how beautiful It Is!
I wanna add, having smol mistakes can also just show this piece was human made!
Now theres robots who can also cut wood ,but no matter how perfect It looks,It can't compare to the unique touch of amazing artists like you!
Agreed! Thank you very much!
This piece is gorgeous, Jim! I'm actually glad that the coat of lacquer didn't work as you'd hoped. The darker wood really makes those colours pop! Thanks for another great video.
Thank you! Cheers!
The ones with off center pipes make them look like eyes that are looking different directions -very cool ❤
Thanks 😊
