  • Woodturning - In this video I use two maple firewood pieces that are peppered with bird eye's and combine them with the Pro Series to induce lots of thermal cracking. From there, I then use the Kintsugi method of repairing pottery pieces, but apply it to the epoxy to make this a future family heirloom! This could just be one of my best pieces, thanks for watching and please share with our friends!

This came out soooo well! I'm surprised that the silver infill does not show more starkly silver in the finished piece, but you can still see the crack. For sure the orientation of the wood to form the wavey epoxy line was the way to go!

It's like wood sandwiching an amazing amethyst geode. That crack helps complete the geode effect. It is stunning.
With the light inside the resin transformed into Blue John, a rare fluorite found locally to me. Two different crystals captured in wood ❤🤩

I have watched many different wood turners and have settled on two. For me it is personality and the easy way you teach us. You also let us know if mistakes so we can avoid them. When you don't want the cracks they crack, and want cracks they don't. Keep us smiling.

This is the most beautiful resin/ wood combo you've done, in my opinion. The shape is great, and I love the way the silver flows thru the resin. Truly a timeless, classical beauty.

Very nice. I like how the crack shows up even more under light. I had no idea the birds' eyes traveled like that through the wood. Fascinating.

Beautiful piece. The bird's eye makes it very interesting, also the color difference in top and bottom. Thanks

Thanks again Jim, great Friday morning. The resin was spectacular, and that Birdseye just had it all. I think it's one of the best too!

That's very nice Jim really cool to see the resin poured the way you did it with it been 'up and down' over the wood class work as always.

Jim, Sir, I thought you were going to break it in half. It made a nice crack and I love the epoxy with the sparkle. The wood grain is amazing. You did a wonderful job making a beautiful piece.
