Solo Tarp Camping Adventure on a Secluded Island

Hello friends - welcome to another solo camping adventure. This time, I'm visiting Helgøya, a small island located on Lake Mjøsa in Norway.

Is it recommended to wear ones backpack that much higher than ones head as you are? Genuinely curious as my backpack is 88L and I am trying to be as comfortable as possible.

Hi Gustav - for me personally, the most important is that most of the weight is being carried through the hip belt. Once the hip belt is in the correct position, everything else works out fine. On this trip, I had a lot of stuff in the bag which is why it was packed so high. Happy travels!
