Is it recommended to wear ones backpack that much higher than ones head as you are? Genuinely curious as my backpack is 88L and I am trying to be as comfortable as possible.
Hi Gustav - for me personally, the most important is that most of the weight is being carried through the hip belt. Once the hip belt is in the correct position, everything else works out fine. On this trip, I had a lot of stuff in the bag which is why it was packed so high. Happy travels!

Absolutely beautiful and stunning winter scenery ! Here in Québec ( Canada ) , El niño is messing around with our winter , we will have a green Xmas this year sadly ...😢 its alway's nice to take a moment sitting next to a fire and drinking a good coffee , I am looking forward to do the same later on this winter . You where lucky to have such nice weather and be able to enjoy your trip. The cowboy coffee is alway's a good starter for a cold morning . Maybe you should put a hot bottle ( Nalgene ) in your sleeping bag to help you start the night when you get to bed a little cold from staying put for too long . Thanks for sharing the trip

Nice video ! I wonder why you had so much condensation , did you have enough ventilation ? I've been on a trip recently and had 30 cm of snow on my tent by morning and not a drop of moisture . It's true I was alone and didnt cook inside , so that may be the reason why. I'm going to sub following this comment , I like what I saw in this video . I am a big fan of the Norwegian Xplorer on UA-cam , this country has great outdoor people ! Thanks for sharing Sylvain, from Québec ( Canada )

Nice Video! What temperature rzting does your sleeping bag have?
Thank you! My main bag has a comfort rating of -15, but I'm also using a smaller summer sleeping bag inside to give some extra warmth ;-)

You should seriously consider buying a Russian Bear tent if you are going to camp in cold conditions. Coupled with a tent wood stove, you are very likely to have a comfortable warm sleep. Any fire outside is a total waste of wood and effort. I am very impressed with your presentation. Please continue to make more adventures. God bless.
