My heart stopped for a second when you didn't use a mask on your pumpkin! It turned out nice 👍
Ha ha I never use masks.... Or use stamps on mounts.... I'm a rebel. However I do understand the need for these thing... I'm glad your heart was okay. You should see my cookery then I think I might make it stop as I throw everything I have in a pan say a prayer and hope its good....
Thanks so much x
Darn, I thought I’d seen these designs but I thought I was wrong since they were released today lol. I should have realized top furniture artist like yourself would have had them early. Awesome.
Ha ha they send me them in advance of the release which is fab.... As I get to play with them.... I am very lucky and humbled that I'm given things to try it's more than I could ever have imagined....

Why haven't I seen this video 🤔. OMG they are so cute. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the spring one, 🤭. I never would have thought about decoupage on a chair. The possibilities 🤗

I would have never thought of doing this type of treatment on a chair. I might try that sometime. Thank you 🎨🖌️👏
Yes give it a go and it's actually surprisingly hard wearing x
Absolutely love the pumpkin one! So gorgeous
Thanks so much ❤️
Oh Lel you do make me laugh loads. I'm speaking to my phone saying "wrong way round Lel 😂😂. My sister nicknamed me Dotty because I'm the same when I'm doing art and projects. My brain races away on what I'm doing next and I lose things, make little errors and get my words mixed up. It's good to know I'm not the only one 😂. Your artwork is vibrant and full of life ❤
Ha ha ha ha...... Oh I'm crazy at getting things all confused. Thanks for leaving me a comment that made me smile x
They’re both beautiful! So different, but each just so perfect as they are. Love them! Thanks for sharing

Oh I was so excited I forgot to comment on your beautiful pieces. I’m sad, I just got rid of a leather sofa, chair and ottoman. I could have so loved to have done your technique on those pieces. Oh well, forging ahead.
Oh I never like it when that happens to me.... Bide your time and the next time you see a chair grab it ha ha ha
I posted a comment about the newest IOD releases Rose Toile. The designs are totally you Mel. The stamps, molds, etc are awesome. I cannot wait to see you demo these on one of your gorgeous pieces. Released today. Take care you guys.
I have done 2 videos on the new release they are both in my play list both feature stamps... K have 2 more coming one this week with a transfer another in a few weeks... X

Ha ha it's either rain or showers with a touch of more rain....ha ha

Incredible ❤ and thats how you put WOW in people's mouth! Would love to find a tissue paper with a wolf, (since i adopt them, have 6 wolves adopted in different conservation-trusts in UK) and have his magnificent head on a chair..😅 i lost the plot.. ❤ love it Lel ❤hugs 🫂 from London
Brilliant glad you enjoyed the video much love Lel x
I love what you did with the chairs!!! I didn't know you could decoupage over fabric. Thank you for showing me.
Yes you can however it's best with an all in one paint and always use a good few coats of mod podge so they are reasonably hard wearing... But go ahead and have a go Cindy ☺️
Thanks for watching and commenting

What a fabulous idea and beautifully executed. I have bar chairs that I'm going to paint and wax for a leather look but this looks so fun and gorgeous.
Yep go you girlfriend get some chairs and make it happen X ❤️
Love love the chairs..never tried myself but as every other thing so far I've learned from you I'll give it a try..so beautiful. Thank you again for great tutorial ❤❤❤
Oohh yes give it a go...it's a great way to makeover chairs that look a little dated....thanks again for your kind words and for watching ❤️

These chairs are stunning. I knew you could paint fabric, stencil fabric and put a transfer on fabric (as long as you're not going to wash it), but I had no idea it was possible to decoupage fabric. You are such an inspiration and so generous with your advice. Starting with chairs is a great idea. Not so overwhelming. I love that you added stamps to that autumn chair. I love that you're not a "less is more" artists. sometimes I look at the minimalist photos in decorating magazines and long for just one room that looks like that. But the moment passes. I don't have a minimalist bone in my body.
I have a question. I'm about to go to your website and buy decoupage paper. When you were adding the stamps to the autumn chair I saw a piece of furniture in the corner with one of the pieces of decoupage paper I want to buy. I can see that the piece is being used to store cans of paint. Would it be possible at some point to just do a quick video of it? I honestly gasped out loud when I first saw that paper on your site. It's so beautiful. I love all your papers. It's very hard to choose.
Okay I'm thrilled you like what we do and yes I will do a piece with una and the lion on it..... Lots of love from Scotland
Lel x
@@MadebyMarley I'm just seeing your comment now, a month after you wrote it. I love Una and the Lion! So beautiful.
That blew my mind. I will look at all chairs and all my decoupage paper differently from now on 🧡🧡🧡
Yay Linda and it a cheaper way to make something look way better with little effort and money ....
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching and commenting 😊

Hi Marley, I just found you today. Yay! The chairs look fabulous. Can something be done so that the chairs are more functional, as it everyday functional? Let me know or make another video. Thank you.
I LOVE how to stamp and then paint inside. I haven't seen others do this. What an awesome idea. Thank you.
Yes, already subscribed. I LOVE your ideas. Thank you.
Hey Malgozata
They are actually more hard wearing than you think. You could give them more coats of mod podge. I've done one and it's used a lot not quite daily. I think if you wanted to do this and use the chair as a kitchen chair the best way they would hold up indefinitely is to not add the decoupage it will eventually wear. ..
Just paint the chair and mix your all in one paint to make a coloured background then stamp. ...it will last then...as the all in one paint doesn't crack or wear like paper.
Hope these suggestions work. Thanks so much for subscribing and commenting.

It came out so pretty 😍
Thanks so much ❤️
Mel, have you seen the newest IOD stamps, molds, etc Rose Toile? They are totally YOU. I hope you demo these soon. I just saw the IOD gals demo them today on UA-cam. Apparently released today. Take care you guys
Yes I've done them there in my play list x x
Oak leaves! 😉
Ha ha I knew someone would tell me thanks for your comment ❤️

I do hope that someone bought these as a pair... They belong together even though their styles are so opposing. They would look so unique displayed together or around a dining room table. And to think you used tissue paper found at Home Goods ~ haha! Every new material you use, like the autumn stamps, I now want to own myself. This is getting expensive... I need to find some chairs to decoupage on, even though my workspace is packed to the brim. I force myself not to shop in my usual haunts, since until I sell some pieces there is not an inch of space to store it. Do your furniture purchases get stored, or do you work on them straight away? You always seem to find such great pieces. Prices are way toooo high in my neck of the woods. People would donate furniture far more often before Facebook Market Place was a way to sell them instead. Boo-Hoo
Thanks Sydni I'm glad you like the chairs. I actually kept them.... A hazard of the job.
I store my furniture in the other half of the stable it's actually very big. On one side I put stock ready to paint on the other we cling any finished pieces and cover them in packing blankets to keep them good till they are sold.
I buy lots from auctions locally and marty finds me pieces trawling all kinds of sale sites. I do have a cap price in my head that I will not pay over for furniture so I know I will make money as time is the most expensive thing and then paint and materials x
I sometimes have to much stock or to many items painted depending on which I either market more or paint more ha ha
Just so fun and creative and inspiring!
Love watching you play😍
Yes just a cheeky bit of fun X
Thanks Candice for watching and commenting

I love both chairs, maybe the autumn one a wee better. Could you pls enter the name of the green paint you used on the autumn chair? Thank you for another wonderful tutorial.
Hi Bronislava
The paint on the chair was a French chic paint. I believe it was called constance moss but the van was at an end and covered in paint so was unable to list what it was called. I've been looking to find out on Google and I'm sure that was the paint.
I'm glad you liked the chairs and my favourite was also Autumn one.

Hi Lel, this is for your wreath video, but it ended up here oh well.
I didn't know of you back then, but you did well. You were brave. You didn't give up and look how you have grown. Yay!
Beautiful wreath. I wonder if you spritz it with water, does the moss keep on living? Thank you.
If you keep them outside they do I still have that very wreath and I just swap out floral on It and its good.

@@MadebyMarley Yay!
I had no idea you could do this. You would think it would crack or split open after been sat on for a while? How have they held up? (If you still have them) these are great.
One of them is used a lot and it's fine the other occasionally ....there going strong ha ha ha 😉
Lel, love this. Bought 2 stunning small chairs today. One has a corduroy seat. Can I paint it? Also what ink is it? We don't get IID here in South Africa. Will alcohol ink work do you think? Mhwa❤
Yes you can paint corduroy buy it may need a sand between coats plenty of water 💦 hmmmm I use stayz on ink but I am not sure about the alcohol inks they might run....have a try on a test piece of fabric first.
Tell me how it goes??
Super tutorial Lel. Can I ask what ink you use to stamp please?
I use staz on ink ....I've always used it and wouldn't change it can be used on glass fabric wood painted surfaces and I've even used it on a sink...ha ha
You can get it on Amazon. Do you want a link?
It comes in various colours I generally buy black but I have it in others.
Let me know if you want a link Nadine and thanks for watching and commenting

Omg love love love the pumpkin chair! I watched a video and they said you have to use a special decoupage glue and not mod podge as it won't hold. The other was quite expensive. Have you had issues with mod podge at all? Love all your work tho
Juli hey there I've had someone sit on that nearly every day since I painted it and it's just as good.... I did say in the video to use laquer to seal it and I gave it 2 good coats... So I'm thinking it's totally okay as I've done this in the past thanks for commenting and watching lots of live from scot
Lel x
@@MadebyMarley Thanks! You do awesome work and love your creations. I have a chair that I'm going to tackle during the winter months here. Excited you used mod podge cuz I have it on hand and will be my choice, as well! Have a great week!
Lel are you doing ok? I have not seen a new posting for today. Hope you are well.
