I'm watching again. 😂 when I blend I don't want a whole new color! I also want to merge them slightly. Making different hues! I love this color "blend". I'm always telling myself "trust the process", but I love "hold your nerve". 😊

Finally after about 4 tries I have got to watch from start to finish!! I love chinoiserie style and wanted to try it!! Birds Branches flowers curly cues swatches of color!! Your vision of how to coordinate all the patterns still amazes me. I will try it someday!! (In private) no one will know unless it turns out like it should 😅

What a bounty of riches this week: two tutorials this week and now the decoupage premiere. I do believe that the santas have a slight resemblance to Martin.

Thanks for sharing these 3 options. I have done quite a bit of searching for my idea of mixing chalk paint with plaster of paris before finding your channel. I've a glass lamp with the appearance of crushed glass, or something like it. I am not in a space where I can use spray paint. I may scratch it with sandpaper or see if I can find a primer I can brush on. You helped me decide to mix the paint with p.o.p. 🙂 All 3 of your pieces look wonderful.

Hello Lel and Martyn, I am only now watching this video. Martyn, I think that this is an ABSOLUTELY fabulous idea. Lel, thank you for accepting the challenge My biggest concern is that how this furniture will withstand the test of time. I wonder how the children's glue will stand up to wallpaper over time. And, how the cement in the paint will hold up. I haven't watched both of the videos yet, so I don't know what you plan on doing with this furniture, but I really would appreciate an occasional update on it. How is it doing? Is anything peeling off, falling off, etc. I was also thinking that if someone didn't have wallpaper samples, that pieces of magazine pictures could have been used or an old wall calendar. As for dyes, how about children's paints or shaved bits of children's coloring pencils? Things like that. Looking forward to the rest of these 2 videos. Have a great week. Hugs, Eve

You say this is not hard to do... And I suppose it's not hard to replicate the steps you took to recreate this complicated piece. BUT, what is very hard to do for me, and no doubt for others, is creating the idea, the plan that comes so natural to you. We have all watched you create one piece after another and they are all so different, so unique. Your 'style' is evident in most all of them, but each one stands alone, different from the others. All unique. Now that is the difficult part, coming up with a plan. Executing it is secondary, the idea is paramount. You always amaze me Lel, week after week. No wonder you didn't feel well and felt a bug coming on. You have been working so much, so stressed, and no doubt not sleeping enough. Burn out was inevitable and I'm glad you gave yourself a day to rest. Glad you feel better, it could have been worse. Hoping you cans slow down and catch your breath. You need a holiday!!!
