No talking heads this time, but with a very useful tutorial that a lot of you had asked me to create on how to edit to music. Two things I want you to know: 1st) I started a podcast and the link is in the description of the video and 2nd) if you want a 1-on-1 private lesson on FCPX now you have the option to have it, more infos about that on the description of the video as well. Thanks for being so awesome and can't wait to see you on my next upload. Let's see how many likes can we get on this video...!!?
Getting my M1 MacBook Pro next week! I’ll be using FCP a lot moving forward. This tutorial has been extremely helpful. Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!
Great. Only one thing that could be done more effectively in this video. In the last method, dragging endpoints, or use the blade tool, and then select to delete, is a time-consuming way of doing it. Rather, use the "Trim end to played" shortcut. Just place the played (or while playing) and press the keyboard shortcut, which automatically cuts away the end (or beginning) of the clip. You can also change the keyboard shortcut for this to make it even faster. I have added Trim Start to play head to G, and Trim End to play head to H, right next to the JKL keys, which let you do lots of editing just by using those keys.
Hi Emilio, thank for the tutorial! I would add another method I use, it is kind of manual mode. Selecting in / out to the clip and deleting the area selected.
Thanks so much for the vid. Really helpful. Just starting out. It's really difficult once you set your markets to changes in the track, for you to then line up the change in the clips with the change and flow of the music. Guess practice makes perfect.
Emilio, this tutorial was PERFECT! Thank you for creating a tutorial that is so easy for a beginner to follow and create professional level edits to the beat! I truly appreciate this and YOU! 😄
Emilio Takas Awww 🥰 you’re so welcome! I’m glad I could make your day! You made mine too! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to learning more from you! 😁📝🤓🎉
LOVE this! Right to the point, lots of options, just what I was looking for! Rang the bell, subscribed, all the things!!!! Look forward to bingeing your content!
Man, I just can't wait to sell my ipad air 2 and gather the budget to get my hands in an ipad pro ;) I have heared so many things that I really consider it the go to option for editing on the go.
Thanks so much homie!! Im glad you enjoy it and I promise as Im getting more used of it I will share more complicated and informative tutorials as well ;)
Hi Emilio, I wanted to ask you if there is a plugin that automatically removes pauses and silences from a video, without having to do it manually every time. P.S. you are great, I follow you from Italy 🇮🇹 and I use your suggestions in my videos everyday😉
When you move that clips to best are they make shorter? Its mean Lets say clip is 6sec but u move to the beat and its Looks smaller in timeline are its shorter clip then ?
Sorry for the disappointment, I get what you are saying but this is not possible to recognize the tempo of a track and auto create markers or cuts without an external plugin (maybe). Even though, there were plenty of people who needed help on realizing how you can speed up the workflow on editing to the beat. Thanks for watching though my friend and hopefully in the future your idea comes reality.

Ok, now everybody for our homework we're going to work on a psytrance song at 155 beats per minute ;).
Hahah that's a good one.
Hi Emilio, I wanted to ask you if there is a plugin that automatically removes pauses and silences from a video, without having to do it manually every time.
P.S. you are great, I follow you from Italy 🇮🇹 and I use your suggestions in my videos everyday😉
There is a combination of external apps that do that. Maybe that’s a good idea for a future video. Thanks for your input
@@Emiliotakas can’t wait 😉
Hello does this work for Final Cut Pro iPad?
Emilio Can you please, make a tutorial with a Rap or a R&B song, when you follow the lyrics and add some transitions in every
cuts?
It won't change anything on the process you just saw basically.
And what if it's an acoustic music that doesn't have a kick drum? How you do it? Thanks
After I export the project, the cuts are off beat with the music? I must have my settings wrong or something?
When you move that clips to best are they make shorter? Its mean Lets say clip is 6sec but u move to the beat and its Looks smaller in timeline are its shorter clip then ?
great thank u
Thanks for watching
Can you cut between frames?
hey boss what if you want to slow down or speed up some cuts?
Position tool and retiming options
There is a plug-in for Final Cut to find automatically the beat?
Trust your ears! That's the best plugin
I like your videos
I like your comments
Hey man good video 👌👌👌...what is that song's name ???
tq boss
🤝
2:46 I saw but didn't hear any audio... weird but OK...🤔
When I move clip to my custom generator space, entire clip goes to my timeline and not in selected part ......:(
This is dope man! Sub immediately 😁
Thanks man..Welcome to the youtube fam
How to make this intro
Just creativity and FCPX. No templates on this one. Pretty simple.
Link please
for what?

I was expecting it ll be Rytham Cuts (Tempo Cut)... Really disappoinment.. 😔 😔 😔...
