Yeah you definitely have a point there. People stress that this game is about fundamentals, yet Claw is the best character and makes a complete mockery of this game and 95% of the cast.
Claw is a nightmare but it’s dumb to think that this invalidates any sort of “fundamentals” arguement when it comes to 2X they were very smart wall dives by tokido, and if choi reacted fast he could of done jump back fierce on a few of them to win the round. Claw is fucked but the idea that claw can just do wall dive all game is an idea that comes from people that exclusively comes from people who don’t play 2X
@@Shodan130I know, it's just kind of a meme at this point, but i am just making fun of the idea that people think that this game in particular is "all about" being honest so therefore for them "modern games = Bad" , it's the same story even when SF4 came out people were like SF4 was the "Babies game"
@@huevonesunltd it’s not so much that games are more honest, but old games are usually just a lot more simple allowing for strong fundamentals to shine more often.
@@Shodan130 yeah the idea is that it's simple enough where small optimizations in your fundamentals such as barebones "footsies" for whiff punishing set a bigger difference between players, but the thing is that people think that all match ups are "all" about that, this game also got characters that on wake up could true 50/50 to death (which still doesnt invalidate "fundamentals" before it got that situation in the first place), and are not willing to admit that just like pretty much any game there's "that one character" or "that one situation", they pretend these don't exist. It's not that it negates fundamentals but people pretend all match ups are Ryu vs Ryu or stress that this game is the epitome of balance compared to newer games when that is simply not true, it is just as crazy that a lot of other games after it. This brings back the horrors of how annoying it was to play against vega
TOKIDO DIRTY
Oh nooo!
Tokido play super cheap but when Daigo eliminate him with cheap boxer Tokido get angry. XD
🙂😀 Oh
Boxer is hard to use...and not cheap at all

I'm not talking about the characters but about the tactic each players is using to win.
Tokido spam Izuna Drop and Daigo spam Grab.

Virtua Fighter 5 was my favorite game on EVO 2007 but I still think they needed Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Soulcalibur 3
I know this is nine years later. But if you watch Ketchup talk about it, the 3D era MKs were horrible for competitive play. But I agree about sc3
they are rereleasing it with rollback :D
Man choi was a fucking beast
VEGA RULES !
God damn, Tokido!
commentator is Mr. Garrison from South Park
now think about that and laugh
Uh.. I’m missing something right?
Nunca mais vai existir um vega assim. 0:57

I actually prefer commentators to be open about what they want. Getting tired of the correctness bullshit. People are tribal deal with it.
