*Price is $150 USD as can be verified anywhere...* I made a mistake in the video (that as always cannot be fixed without deleting the entire thing; it's a published video, not text). Not shown in this video: Major segments of the rocket/tank *can* be connected to the standardized square gray ports on other sets with Technic pins. It's not interesting to look at as the shapes & colors don't match, plus there's no suggestion of passthrough, but the holes line up.
Thank you for pointing that out. I appreciate the "little" bit of extra play value there (personally), so I appreciate it! Oh, and thanks for your general work on these reviews Jang! The quality and honesty of your reviews are awesome, especially for holding LEGO to the high standards they, themselves have set. You're a super important part of the consumer's interaction with the market and it's really appreciated too! All the best man, and please do keep it up!😁
The Price is a new slap in the Face of any LEGO-Fan. And they keep forgeting, that this is a Kids-Set. LEGO: We Build only for rich could be there new Slogan....
I just realised why the geode is a different colour and the flames are there! It's because it fell through the atmosphere and landed on earth! That's why there's little bits of fire and the curve is only on one side! It's supposed to be the first one they find and then use, to make their presentation and ultimately fund the project to get more samples from the moon directly! I'm sorry... I just love it and have to share, just incase this brilliant little bit of story telling doesn't get noticed! It's so adorable!!!🥰
That feature with the moving rocket on the screen is so clever. I also love that jeep kind of thing, it reminds me of old GI Joe vehicles. Perfect design and size and I love how it holds 4 people.
I would've loved this as a kid! The "terrain" thing seems pointless to me, and I would've used that bit of the budget to improve some of the things mentioned in the review (mainly the crew members having to parkour to get on or off the elevator).
The hardest working man in the lego business is at it again. Wow, I have never noticed a discrepancy in trans pieces before!! Ouch, that’s a tough pill to swallow.
This might be the only set where I'm excited about the action features. I'm in love with the chart showing the rocket orbit. I'm so tired of the "chunk of bricks break off" feature. Glad to see some real creativity
The buggy looks a bit like a cross between a Humvee and a Mini Moke, which was an all-terrain/cargo version od Mini back in the 60'. You can see some of them in Bond films like You Only Live Twice
3:45 Oh gosh, I genuinely thought you were showing the different colour pieces, I honestly couldn't tell that all 3 were meant to be roughly the same shade. Aside from that, looks like an awesome set, I love all the little features!
This is definitly a great set! The play value is way up there! Lots to do, that rocket is fantastic, with lots of room, aside from the miscolored windows, a great set! Amazing review, Jang!
Not gonna lie, Jang's voice is so soothing and comforting that it helps me sleep when I struggle to. Like it sounds weird, but it just works for some reason.
I think the geode and terrain bit is meant to be a crashed asteroid containing the "life" stuff, which inspires the whole mission series to find more of it. Its dark grey instead of silver because it burned during entry.
Great details in the set, the only gripe is the fact that the structures are disconnected. I don't mean just having the two buildings connect side by side, but to have the launch base as a continuous unit, with elements like walkways, etc. Bringing it it all together, creating a continuous play narrative, where you can enact events, rather than having each building serve its seperate function only...
Whenever I see a Lego set I like I Always go to Jangs to get an honest option before I buy it, have been for years now, I’d just like to add that the vehicle looks like a ‘Mini Moke’
Considering the foldable windshield it looks more like a Citroen Méhari than a VW thing/Acapulco Furthermore there is a version of the Méhari without doors
I rather see $100 here. It's LEGO exclusive in Germany, so it looks like I'll finally spend some VIP-points. Also, it somehow bugs me that this is for some reason NASA branded while every other set of the line isn't. It's confusing!
Love the new city space range too bad about the quality of the clear parts. Ever since they switched from polycarbonate plastic a few years ago clear lego pieces have had a cloudiness to them and I feel are more prone to scratches.
The scientist minifigures look great, especially the hair pieces, also really digging the ground crews' colours. It's overall a good toy with a lot of hits, unfortunate that it also has a lot of random little misses everywhere. I think the random rock might be representing a meteor (?) since there's fire next to it and its sitting in a half crater.
I love it, but I also will wait for a later charge of this set. Because this transparent part issue is a thing. At least yours are not scratched this time. Thank you so much for review!
As a huge fan of the Saturn V set, I always wanted to make a 110 scale Space Shuttle along side it. The solid booster designs have always been hampered by a lack of properly flared engine bell. But the new WHITE half barrel parts in this set are the perfect piece!! The original LEGO Ideas submission for a 110 scale Space Shuttle used them in their engine design, but that set was never produced (except for a one-off as a display in Billund). Can't wait to get those parts on BL and finalize a Shuttle build!
I took me a little bit to figure this out, but you can replace the crew capsule in this set with the one in the Lunar Space Station capsule (both 2022 and 2019, but mainly 2022.)
I love the tower, but the actual rocket I don’t like. When you consider how the actual sls will work, I find that the crew compartment inside the fuel tank is a big no. That means that if you want to realistically separate, you will leave the crew behind. I have and love the previous big LEGO 2020 (can’t exactly remember the year) space line and set, so I don’t think I will get this. However, it is good for play and the launch pad is amazing. To each their own I guess
4:35 I work in plastics (they mold them, I print them) so I work with quality control everyday and not being able to produce the correct color (amongst ALL the other problems) is a major issue. This issue here with the lighter almost colorless bricks would have been a customer complaint, scheduled meeting, review, follow-up, corrective action.... and likely, where I work, a Repeat offence since we can't get anything right! Hahahaha... I expect more from Lego, but the top print on my new Lambo Countach tells me I shouldn't hold my breath.
Dr. Brakish Okun, I believe, is the name of the scientist Brent Spiner played on Independence Day. "Release me... NOW!!!" Thanks for another insightful review, Jang. It's always a joy hearing your thoughts on a new set, especially Space. Stay safe!
There is so much to this. It just kept revealing new parts. My assumption about the metior was that the observatory had tracked it coming in, landing on earth and then the rover going out to pick it up. They study it in a lab, and put the active enzine into the fuel tank to get the rocket somewhere that can use a rover.
As always a great review. Amazing how you also get enthousiast with vehicles that are just done really well for their scale, and especially when they fit more than 1 minifig+coffee mug XD
The rocket with the unusual compartments looks like something that could be built in Kerbal Space Program :D Also, the offroad vehicle reminds me of the Mini Mokes from the James Bond movie Moonraker
I think the rock might be meant to be a meteorite that hit the ground on Earth? The fire looks like it’s from the impact, and it could be darker than the others because it burned up in the atmosphere. Would explain why there’s a plant too, and the ground is only raised on the side opposite to the flames.
looks to me like you could attach a space shuttle to the rocket, i wonder how well that would work with the launch tower and which space shuttle models look good on it.
The holding breath face is hilarious! But yeah I just can't see myself getting this set until it's 100 bucks. I feel like paying 10 cents per piece for lego brand is a max and this is at the 15 cent mark pretty much.
Awesome Space Set. I dont know why the white jeep reminds me of the Transformer Combaticon Swendal. All it needs is a gun on the back and you got it.hahaha Great set
I really hope there will be a bigger and more detailed SLS set at some point, ideally at the same scale as the Saturn V so they can be displayed alongside eachother. This is alright but not really my cup of tea.
Thank you for posting this. Haven't seen that piece to attach the Octan fuel tank into the rocket for a while. They were a bit more common back in 80s classic space. Are there more sets where that piece is delivered?
im colorblind but i have seen the insane difference between the big window color difference in these space sets,, absolutely wild, love these sets a lot but the color difference is wild bc i usually cant tell but its so obvious here even to someone who struggles to differentiate colors
I love that even though u clearly love Lego, u don't let ur feelings get in the way of talking about their short comings. I agree. They say only the best is good enough but they let the color differences on the same mold slide right on through? C'mon, do better Lego
Please don't let up on the quality control issues! This and 3368 are my two favorite rocket sets from City simply because of the launch towers. And I think 3368 did the elevator a little better, although I love the retracting gangway. But it definitely needs some modifications
Transparent medium blue is fluorescent, while transparent light blue is not. I have a couple panels from a bionicle set and while most are trans medium blue, at least one is trans light blue
Why do the other sets just have a Classic Space-style logo, but this one has actual NASA logo and lettering? Also the design of the rocket, all makes this set more realistic than the others. Of course, you wouldn't have all that stuff inside the fuel tank, but you can't see that from the outside anyway. And I love the Octan tank haha! The color mismatch on the trans light blue canopy is ridiculous. I mentioned it before, that while I can see why you wouldn't want to bother with getting this replaced, others may want to get ahold of LEGO if this happens with their personal set. I cannot stand the weird color scheme for the astronauts, or the ground crew. The two scientists look good. I think that guy looks like Albert Einstein without the mustache haha!
Im happy that I live in a region that this set is cheaper :D It comes out at 120€. But i still think that Monkie Kid's Galactic Explorer is a better set even tho its color scheme is a little bit crazy for realistic looks.
*Price is $150 USD as can be verified anywhere...* I made a mistake in the video (that as always cannot be fixed without deleting the entire thing; it's a published video, not text).

love the vid! :) 👍👍
The utility vehicle looks reminiscent of those John Deere utility vehicles you see on golf courses or at schools. Like the TE, TX, or TS 4x2
Ah, the gator!
Looks like an older Gator to me
Those are called John Deere Gators
I just realised why the geode is a different colour and the flames are there! It's because it fell through the atmosphere and landed on earth! That's why there's little bits of fire and the curve is only on one side! I'm sorry... I just love it and have to share, just incase this brilliant little bit of story telling doesn't get noticed! It's so adorable!!!🥰
Agreed, I think it's a 'meteorite' with a small crater and fire from impact.
Thanks for this, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the flames were supposed to represent. I think this is a great theory.
“Crew elevator” can be spelt “Cruella Vader,” who is a more fashionable yet much darker lord of the Sith.
The hardest working man in the lego business is at it again. Wow, I have never noticed a discrepancy in trans pieces before!! Ouch, that’s a tough pill to swallow.
The “PowerPoint” as you put it in mission control gave us the spoiler of the Octan fuel tank in the rocket
At 6:30 I think the “thing” that the little buggy is reminding you of is literally the Volkswagen Thing or Acapulco from the 70’s
2:00 I would make different consoles and spinning seats. These simple improvements would have added playability of the room.
Yes!
Yes! Spinning seats!
This might be the only set where I'm excited about the action features. I'm in love with the chart showing the rocket orbit.
I'm so tired of the "chunk of bricks break off" feature. Glad to see some real creativity
the liitle buggy is very reminiscent of the Mini Moke imo
The buggy looks a bit like a cross between a Humvee and a Mini Moke, which was an all-terrain/cargo version od Mini back in the 60'. You can see some of them in Bond films like You Only Live Twice
The "interior" of the rocket realy surprised me, especially the Octan fuel tank. Nice touch to have those colors in the feeding pipes outside as well.
Sets like this just show how good of a deal the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V is.
I like that the fuel lines use the Octan colors.
Always appreciate your enthusiasm!
I'm in love with that jeep style transfer vehicle, reminds me of 2010 Lego City stuff.
The set lacks a big ground plate or road plates, which would connect the buildings.
I would love that transport-utility vehicle in a €10 set so much
I think the geode and terrain bit is meant to be a crashed asteroid containing the "life" stuff, which inspires the whole mission series to find more of it. Its dark grey instead of silver because it burned during entry.
That is a SUBSTANTIAL toy wow
This rocket is amazing. glad that they brought back the modular system
I love the parts for the fuel tank + booster , can be re-used as spaceshuttle tanks as well.
I just love the flourishes of greenery LEGO is putting in all the City sets these days. It really helps the sets come to life.
@6:56 Hi Jang, the vehicle kind of looks like one of the buggies used to ferry people about in airport terminals. Is that what you were thinking of?
The recent city wave prices are insane. This is a cool set, but I think it should have been $100 tops.
The buggy reminds me of the Mini Moke! They look like baby jeeps with Mini Cooper faces and were made from 1964 to ‘93 intended for the military!
Normally I've always seen this set for $160 USD. My brother found it for me at Walmart on clearance for $90. I can't wait to build it!
Considering the foldable windshield it looks more like a Citroen Méhari than a VW thing/Acapulco
Furthermore there is a version of the Méhari without doors
Could it have been the old Mini Moke vehicles? The style is very reminiscent of it.
That tiny little Robot just needs a circular eye and it becomes a remote HAL unit.
This is a great set
20:32 thank you that was exactly what I was thinking
I rather see $100 here. It's LEGO exclusive in Germany, so it looks like I'll finally spend some VIP-points. Also, it somehow bugs me that this is for some reason NASA branded while every other set of the line isn't. It's confusing!
Love the new city space range too bad about the quality of the clear parts. Ever since they switched from polycarbonate plastic a few years ago clear lego pieces have had a cloudiness to them and I feel are more prone to scratches.
Oh hey, is that a graze behind you?
I enjoying watching your gunpla expand silently in the background
Fun fact they douse the platform with water to prevent shock waves from traveling back up and damaging the launch vehicle
The small buggy looks like an open golf cart, I quite like it. Well I guess you just call them carts when they aren't for golf.
I like the rocket flying through space
Citroen méhari !!! It's a french opened car made out of plastic... It's the french WV dune buggy 😉👍
As a huge fan of the Saturn V set, I always wanted to make a 110 scale Space Shuttle along side it. The solid booster designs have always been hampered by a lack of properly flared engine bell. The small vehicle reminds me of a Mini Moke
Excellent review, thanks. Really got me interested in this set (when it hits the right price)!
the utility vehicle reminds me to a mehari, a citroen kind of sand buggy, lightweigh from the 70 and so on.
I love the tower, but the actual rocket I don’t like. When you consider how the actual sls will work, I find that the crew compartment inside the fuel tank is a big no. That means that if you want to realistically separate, you will leave the crew behind. Thanks for another insightful review, Jang. It's always a joy hearing your thoughts on a new set, especially Space. Stay safe!
This wave's design is very similar to the space designs we had in Lego city undercover
Nice to se some classic space elements hidden in the model. Ie the grey bracket and rails 😁
There is so much to this. It just kept revealing new parts. My assumption about the metior was that the observatory had tracked it coming in, landing on earth and then the rover going out to pick it up. 14:18 the name you're looking for is sound suppression system
You are the best! Thank you!🤗
The rocket with the unusual compartments looks like something that could be built in Kerbal Space Program :D

The holding breath face is hilarious! But yeah I just can't see myself getting this set until it's 100 bucks. I feel like paying 10 cents per piece for lego brand is a max and this is at the 15 cent mark pretty much.
If I was still a child I'd want this so hard, but as an adult I'm super happy with the Saturn V and Discovery sets.
that scientist also looks like a young doc brown.😁
Awesome Space Set. I dont know why the white jeep reminds me of the Transformer Combaticon Swendal. All it needs is a gun on the back and you got it.hahaha Great set
8:48 Psilocybe Nebula?
The vehicle is like a Mini-Moke or Citroen Méhari.
Ah, the scientists are Dr Wylde and Dr Ravenhurst from the show! I'll have to get those from B&P.
I imagine the poor kids of Flatearthers wanting this so bad and their parents being like "NO, IT HELPS THE CONSPIRACY"
I might modify this set so all the buildings including the rocket stand so all of them connect
Thanks for the great review Jang! Love your objective analysis of everythingc it’s always a joy to watch! great set too! Love it! Keep it up :)
Get a road plates set to go with this, link the launch pad up with the rest of the building and you’ve got a certified space centre
They should make a launch stand set for the UCS saturn V, with an 1-1 minifigure scale Apollo CSM
14:24 we found the one thing Jang does not have experience in
I really hope there will be a bigger and more detailed SLS set at some point, ideally at the same scale as the Saturn V so they can be displayed alongside eachother. This is alright but not really my cup of tea.
These sets are sooooo good!
The vehicle kind of looks like the “Volkswagen Thing!”

best astronaut suit lego ever made
hmm I wonder if you could attach the shuttle from LEGO Friends Olivia Space Academy 41713 to the rocket? would be insanely cool
Hey Jang, the vehicle looks like a Mini Moke
i think the utility vehicle might be based off of a gator or one of those John deer jeep things
im colorblind but i have seen the insane difference between the big window color difference in these space sets,, absolutely wild, love these sets a lot but the color difference is wild bc i usually cant tell but its so obvious here even to someone who struggles to differentiate colors
This one is a must! Hoping for a sale :x
I'm waiting for the white and the trans lightblue dome pieces to pop up on bricklink
I love that even though u clearly love Lego, u don't let ur feelings get in the way of talking about their short comings. I agree. They say only the best is good enough but they let the color differences on the same mold slide right on through? C'mon, do better Lego
The Utility vehicles looks like its aping a polaris or sometihng similar
The Teleskop Dome looks like a Star Wars Hoth Ion Cannon :O is this a foreshadowing for a Master Builder Battle of Hoth ......hmmm~
You could probably convert this into the fuel tanks and srbs for the 40 dollar space shuttle
Please don't let up on the quality control issues! This and 3368 are my two favorite rocket sets from City simply because of the launch towers. And I think 3368 did the elevator a little better, although I love the retracting gangway. But it definitely needs some modifications

Honestly, this is a pretty good looking set. However, it doesn't seem like $150 worth of plastic.
The best Artemis sls official LEGO set so far!
