We were once in a situation where we, my husband and I, were asked this question. Without missing a beat my man just said: "either you need to see a optometrist, a ophthalmologist or a psychologist"...
Love it. The VA has signs encouraging you to give your preferred pronoun. One time when I want to a doctor, upon entering the room, she asked me, "Do You Identify as D____D_____ (my name)? I said, "No, I AM D_______D_______!" Then she asked me do I identify as a male. I said, "No. I AM a male!" And the military wonders why recruiting is at all-time lows.

I was filling in a form that asked me to tick my preferred pronouns. I ticked the box that said 'other' and stated 'I leave it up to others to use their common sense when referring to me in the third person. This approach has worked flawlessly for the past 59 years'.
I did some work for someone in another country, who added "she/her" to MY email signature. I told her I don't buy into all of this and don't want them there, and she told me that it's quite common practice where she lives. But the very fact that she chose my pronouns for me negates the very point she was trying to make. Needless to say, I declined to work with her any longer. I honestly can't deal with this nonsense!
In my area we had a Supervisor who started using "he/him" with his name. He did this not because he was trans, but because he was "virtue signaling". I called him out for it at the next Board of Supervisors meeting. I said he was putting "he/him" next to his name as if it was a form of transgender credentials. And than I went into the horrible details of medical genital mutilation, and how he is really promoting that when he uses "he/him" with his name. Shame on our so called leaders. Call them out every chance you can if they are promoting such evil.
I’m dealing with a woman at work who changes their pronoun depending how they’re feeling that day. Every morning she sends a message to the team what she is that day. She goes from she/her, they/them, xie/xue and, wolf/ wolfself… It’s chaos. If we misgender her that day, she cries to HR and we are being forced to watch a Diversity, Inclusion and belonging indoctrination video. So many people are fed up and we try to just refer her to her name to avoid this but naturally we slip up. In my opinion, she needs mental health. Not me. Thoughts?
You could ask everybody at work to play the same game -- change pronouns every day. The chaos it would cause at work would force HR to ban the whole mess. Maybe. Or you'd all be stuck watching diversity videos all day.
I would get everyone fed up to go to HR at the same time and tell them that if they don't quit the nonsense, you are all quitting at the same time. They will back down and end this crap ASAP. If the problem is one employee, you fix that employee or fire them.
That's not a mentally or emotionally stable person. So yes, she desperately needs real therapy, not therapy that affirms her illness like is more common today. Good luck getting that through to her though.
Tricky one. She is likely unstable but that doesn’t make her a bad employee or make her sackable if she isn’t ( arguably less so in our current environment which emphasises kindness over goodness). If you can move, then do so, otherwise a joint approach to your manager may pay some dividend.
I keep it simple when working ...doesn't matter the persuasion of the client ...if they ask about pronouns we say " we charge more for time wasters " ....works like a charm for people who like to stuff the envelope for political purposes .
My husband had an appointment at a new pain management clinic and while the nurse was getting vitals and checking boxes he asked my 60 year old husband what he identifies as. Without missing a beat my hubs replied, "Is my answer going to change what I'm billed for this?".
Why do you think stupidity is notable, as if sex has anything to do with billing? I can't remember any form I had to fill out that didn't have a section to mark if you're male, female or keeping it private. How much do you hate programs that ask you what country you live in?
@johnwattdotca sex is not an identity. I don't identify as female. I am categorically, unquestionably, physically, chromosomally female. This does not change when I claim to be something else. The form asked for "identity"; this is a polite way of asking whether or not I am willing to admit to myself that I am female or not. This serves no medical purpose.

That is an excellent way to handle that kind of confrontation. My former pastor, R.B. Ouellette, taught the following principle, "Questions stir the conscience; accusations harden the will."
If someone has to ask my pronouns, I know everything I need to know about them. Pronouns are for reference, not preference. The whole "assigned male/female at birth" is even stranger because male and female aren't genders; they're sexes and they're not assigned; they're observed.
Anyone who is "identifying" as a particular gender should be checked for latent narcissism. I'm quite certain that you would score a lot of hits. This nonsense seems to be just a way to feel super spesuhl although the person applying it isn't at all.

Hello grammar purist. I’m an English teacher. I started learning a mere 55 years ago, so you’re 5 up on me! Aren’t we lucky to share such a beautifully simple language like English is? Other languages have gender rules that are far too complex. I’ve had to learn a Slavic language where I have to learn the genders of every single noun, living or inanimate. Every adjective needs to match the gender as well as the quantity, but only up to 5 after which I need to learn another set of suffixes. I just can’t get my head around all this gender nonsense! I mean, why is a table masculine and a chair feminine? My car is neutral, go figure. I’m just so glad that in English the gender question is for living people, so at least we can ask. Hey, have a great day!
Ooh that’s a good one. I usually go with “I identify as the queen of humanity, my pronouns are Your Majesty, My Queen and Your Grace. Pay your taxes to me or you’re questioning my identity”

A really good friend of mine just retired from being the HR Director at a mid-sized company....maybe 700-800 employees. She said that anytime she got an application or resume (whichever the position in question required) which made a point of including "preferred pronouns," it immediately went into the shredder. She also instituted a "two-interview" policy for all positions. Any prospective employee who insists on particular pronouns at the first interview doesn't get called for a second one. She, and a bunch of her colleagues in the HR business have learned from experience that people like this are not worth the trouble of having onboard. As for me, I'm still trying to figure out a way to include the F-word as one of my pronouns. I'm at an age now where I really don't care.
I can help. If someone persists in asking for my pronouns after I decline to state them, then my pronouns suddenly become "F***/YOU". I encourage everyone to consider this option.
I once signed up to an online group for people with ADHD. It was supposedly a support group, I also have 2 children diagnosed so felt it may be a good resource and networking opportunity. I was asked for my pronouns as part of the introduction of myself (which had to be written in a message board) and I politely declined stating I used 'traditional' pronouns as a male. They gave me a warning, I held my ground, they then kicked me out of the group. I messaged them asking how was this 'supportive' and 'inclusive' to those who are neurodivergent, the called me a 'petulant child' and banned me forever. True story
As someone with ADHD this is crazy but sadly not surprising to hear cause in the end these crazy people will just act like kids even when you prove them wrong or want to be yourself. I’d say you saw their true colors and that’s a blessing! You don’t need them as there will be others who will be nicer to you!
You're probably better off especially if you're looking for a group strictly for humans. That one may also include people who identify as kitty cats or ceiling fans.

I just had some medical forms emailed to me for my doctor's appointment tomorrow. They asked for my preferred pronouns. I called the practice - that I have been going to for 30 years to tell them that they have just lost my wife and I as patients. We are not going that route and playing their game.
I was in hospital last week and also refused to play that game. My response was "For thousands of years the medical fraternity has recognised 2 genders only. It has also recognised mental illness. Why doesn't it do that now?" Of all disciplines that could stop this in its tracks by refusing to bend its the medical society.
Some people have dissociative disorder (multiple personalities). It would be a strange game, however, to superfluously ask everyone which of their identities they prefer to be addressed as, on the assumption that everyone has the same condition.
My job pushed before I retired. So my play along pronouns were “your majesty, her royal highness, and goddess divine.” Needless to say, they did not accept and publish them. They never asked me again and my signature block didn’t have pronouns.
This is excellent advice. It’s not defensive by any means. It helps us avoid that trap. It’s self affirming in the face of mentally ill defensiveness. Non Christian here. Thank you.
An important rhetorical point I have been making for years now, I have no "preferred pronouns," I'm not proud of my sexuality either and I think it's silly that others are. Pride in the absence of humility is vanity, and I don't value that as social currency. I also like to have this question on deck when I'm faced with those dealing in gender delusion: "If genitals are no indication of gender, because it's all just made up by society, right? Then how does removing or mutilating them constitute an affirmation?" Also, "gender affirming care does NOT affirm one's gender, it affirms a delusion, demands the rest of us participate in it, and recommends amputation of healthy organs for no other reason than satisfying one's feelings/dysphoria."

"What is a woman?" The gender identity stuff comes from feminist Judith Butler, who asserted that "all gender is performative", but this idea has now been extended to biological sex too. So a "girl" is instead referred to AFAB (Assigned Female at Birth") as opposed to just... _being_ female, since the doctor and midwife are "performing" the assignment based on visible characteristics (that are pretty clear in almost every case!). Don't ask how I know this - I am surrounded by performative wokery.
My preferred pronoun [only 1 3rd person pronoun] is "his royal highness, the adopted son of God, and coheir with Christ". I haven't had the guts to force people to use it, but I am looking for the opportunity. When push comes to shove, I will say, "Respect my identity and pronoun, bigot!". Jane, your response is good, though.
Hey, I was asked this question, "What's your preferred pronouns?" this morning in my school today, I feel like God sent me this vid prior to today and gave me the knowledge to answer back to the teacher in my homeroom who asked me and every student. So I responded saying, I don't have a preferred pronoun, I have a sex as a male. The teacher was processing for awhile and said so you have a preferred pronoun, and I said no I don't have a preferred pronoun, is not my preference is just my objective reality fact that I'm a male and automatically translate to he/him and not otherwise, because is not my preference.
it's okay to be cis, dude. you're allowed to be male and he/him. guess what? no one really cares! if they asked, it just means they wanted to offer you the respect of not assuming anything about you. if the question offends you, maybe you, like the guy in the video, need to do some inner reflection, rather than lashing out.
When asked about my preferred pronouns, I have tended just to say that it is a personal matter, and that I am not comfortable discussing the issue. Of course pluses and minuses with the reactions, but in the workplace, if I just repeat that I am not comfortable with being asked these personal questions, it flips people out because then HR could go after them if they ask me again!

If we bend a little, eventually we end up completely flattened. We do need to stand united, unfortunately, there are those that like to separate themselves out. In the past, these people were pushed out of society. Now, they are pushing back to be included. We've included so many of these half wits, that not only are we dumbing down our society, but we are pushing each person into a box. There are so many minority groups, like the trans and alphabet people that the segregation gaps are now so wide to distinctly cover each individual group. We are barely united and what once was the majority (biological men and women) has now become so marginalized that our opinions no longer count. We cannot go on like this for much longer without imploding. When societies get this far gone, there's war, and self destruction and the society falls. I'm just waiting for that, because that will force people to reunite and live just a bit better.

That's because you have a second grade education in this regard I mean you didn't even make it the third grade or you would understand that master is a title not a pronoun
No. Thats the trap, and its easy to fall in. If you use that tactic to try to confuse the issue, thet will if they are clever and its not hard to be this clever, they will intentionally misgender you and get you to by default state what your identity is. Or your understanding of it.
@colinmatts Listening to someone tell you, I want you to identify me a specific way defeats the point of identifying something. How I identify anything is exactly how identify it. If I see something that is blue, I say that it is blue. I'm not going to change how I identify things because you are color blind.
As someone who has English as a second language, I'm so mentally prepared for the opportunity when someone introduces herself as, for example, "Jessica she/her", to pretend I think "sheher" is her last name, and keep calling her "Miss Sheher" :) For bonus points, if she corrects me, like "no, that's not my name, those are my preferred pronouns, that's what I prefer to be addressed with", then I can still keep playing dumb, and ask, "oh, pronouns, like `you` and `me`? So when I address you, I should not use the pronoun `you`, so I should address you in third person? I mean, sorry, I should address sheher in third person?"
I've thought many times about how I would answer such a question. I figured I'd say, "Look at me. Figure the pronouns out out yourself." or "Just the normal male pronouns." Mr. Koukl has a superior tactical response. Thank you for sharing this!
I tend not to run in circles where pronouns get asked for, but I was playing a game once where the game master asked my character’s pronouns. If they don't give you your preferred salary, just quit. You can take your moral righteousness to the unemployment line. If you want to play the game of identifying as making 10x your current salary, let the IRS tax you at that preferred rate.
The answer to "State your pronouns" or "What ate your pronouns" is, and can only ever be "I, my, me, mine." Because it's true. A person can only ever use these pronouns to refer to one's self.
My pronouns are me, myself and I. They are the pronouns I use to refer to myself. How you refer to me is neither my business nor my concern. The words you use are up to you, and the words I use in reference to myself or anyone else are up to me.
When they state their preferred pronouns just say "Sure" or "ok" and then never use pronouns for them again at all. From that moment forward always use their name and only their name when referring to them "What does Charlene think about this? You will have to go ask Charlene that" or "I was talking to Charlene yesterday, and Charlene said that Charlene wants to go with the cheaper vendor". Easy as pie. If they notice and complain, don't deny it, just explain that you are both respecting their wish not to be 'mis-gendered' while at the same time being true to your own belief in biological gender. Cut off any attempt to argue further with "I'm sorry, but I don't want to have political discussions at work, please respect that" As for being asked your 'preferred pronouns', the one time an emailer at work asked that I just answered "Sorry, I don't participate in pronouns" and when she came back edgy and (expecting my resistance) asked me to respect hers I said "Sure Charlene, will do!" See above paragraph 😁 Politically, to force someone to speak what they don't believe is an obedience-humiliation ritual. You are showing them you are boss and they had better comply or else. That is why communists in Stalinist Russia and Maoist China insisted the starving and impoverished population publicly and frequently gather for meetings to loudly declare that life had never been better since the glorious Revolution and they were so happy to live in the workers paradise! To be forced to say what you know is a lie humiliates a person, it shows who has power and who doesn't.
It's a good solution. I am a teacher, and I do the same with my transgender students. Avoid pronouns and refer to them by name only. I care for them, and I do not want to hurt their feelings, but at the same time I do not buy into this ideology myself, unless we are talking about an actual idelogical sex change.
Get off your horse. We "force" people to say something all the time. We correct others if they mispronounce our name, we inform them if we change our last name, or prefer another first name, if we rather not have them use our nickname in formal situations, or if they assign them the wrong nationality or religion. Or even when they tell you their name for the first time. Do you really expect them to use the name you are giving them, without proof? Yes, we do.

This reinforces the policy I have when teaching. I refuse to issue to students a questionnaire concerning their preferred pronouns or to include any statement about pronouns in my syllabus. Those who promote doing such things understand them to be ideologically neutral, but they are in fact promoting a specific (and novel) gender ideology.
@@sterlingfallsproductions3930 Thanks for the question! My first response is to ask you a similar question: Why would you seek to offend somebody by asking for that person's pronouns and thereby suggesting that the person's appearance and demeanor does not clearly indicate that person's sex? If somebody asks for my pronouns, it is off-putting. "Can't you tell?" is what I feel like replying. You may respond by asserting that asking for pronouns is legitimate because sex is not gender and pronouns are not anchored in sex or in the characteristics associated with it. But that is not at all ideologically neutral. In fact, it is an ideology that many reject as immoral and harmful, including Christians. This means that, if I were to issue a questionnaire about preferred pronouns in my classroom, I would be forcing many of my students to implicitly affirm an ideology that they have strong convictions against. While making an appt for my 89 year old father, we were asked that. I informed the person nither my father or I were mentally ill. That was the end of that.

There's an additional benefit to the tactic. There will undoubtedly be some that won't cooperate. Those are the real snakes who don't care that they're asking you to be inauthentic.
It's so pathetic that you think answering the question with the pronoun you honestly use for yourself is "inauthentic". You're basically the type of snowflake that melts over anything.

"so nothing to complain about." Not participating in their ritual is NOT complaining about it. It's simply ignoring it.
The problem with this approach is that they do not care if you prove they are wrong in their thinking. They just don't care. This is the problem with our side. We expect these people to be rational and moral. Look where these tactics have gotten us. It's past time to start flipping the tables!
A simple clearly stated firm response while looking them in the eyes has never failed me... "I don't do crazy. Either meet me in the real world or go away, because I don't have the time or desire to indulge in your delusions." Over a long career of dealing with the public, I've had to put up with way too many people who were choosing to act crazy to try to manipulate others to get what they want. Never engage with them on their terms. Sadly some I encountered, perhaps one in a thousand really couldn't control their minds because of medical issues. They got my sympathy and compassion. You get where you can tell the difference with time.
A simple question I haven’t heard people ask is this: why is it okay to change the body to more align with the mind, but wrong to change the mind to align with the body? Or put another way: why can a doctor undergo surgery and remove body parts, but not for a doctor to seek to remove the thoughts and self perception? It would seem to me major surgeries and a lifetime of taking powerful drugs is far more violent than therapy
Both electro shock therapy and electroconvulsive therapy along with lobotomy was performed on trans people and gay people. After 40+ years of experiments the conclusion was that these ways of trying to correct the person was abuse and became illegal to perform. If you read the history of medicine about trans people, you would find that the best practice is what is currently what is taking place, confirming care and hormone treatment. Just because you’re late to the party, came I’ll prepared, and think you know more than experts who have been writing about trans people for over 100 years doesn’t mean your two cents is worth a damn. The fact that you don’t see trans people in this chats arguing over the same old tired conversations is because they are too busy leading happy lives. Perhaps you should focus on why all this means so much to you? Fix yourself before trying to fix others.
@kimberlycarter369 Electroshock therapy was used for a lot of issues other than body dysmorphia. It was a bad idea, not because it was used on that issue, but because it was a harmful, bad treatment. The problem was NOT that dysmorphic ideas were being treated by changing one's mindset rather than making patients sterile with surgery or hormones. The problem was with the particular treatment used, not the intent of the treatment. You aren't as well-informed as you intend to be.
Best answer I've seen here yet! I would even omit the first clause in order to remain firmly neutral and non-judgmental (which I think is your intent).
I was REQUIRED to use pronouns in a graduate degree course, I had 17, yes 17 to choose from. Who knew we had so many scary options! I advised the professor that I do not use pronouns. He again stated to me that pronouns were required in his class. Second class came up and I still did not select my required pronouns. He announced to the entire class that I have yet to select my pronouns. I noticed that the drop down menu allowed you to fill in the blanks - which I did. I advised him and the entire class what my pronouns are with great pride - Human, Earthling Least to say the professor was not pleased. That same evening I dropped out of the program. Their loss, not mine.
How utterly ridiculous! And what if 30 students selected different pronouns and the professor got them mixed up would he be offending the pronoun people? Off to jail professor!
Just say you are Hungarian and in Hungarian language there is no he/she differentiation (it is always ő) and you do not even understand the whole concept of dividing people. It seems our language (Hungarian) is one of the most inclusive languages in the world :)
My response is, "I don't play that game". And that's it. Polite, but firm, and no apologies, and no follow up discussion. Conversation about it is over. If I find myself unavoidably having to refer to someone with play pronouns, I insert their name. That also makes the point. Fortunately, I'm not really surrounded with that business.
A line that sets the point, (and gets a laugh from people with a sense of humor). "I don't have pro nouns, I have amateur nouns" If they inquire more, "I'm not offended if you get it wrong."
I have said the same thing. My complete statement is sometimes: "Most of us only have amateur nouns. Some people have semi-pro nouns. Only a select few have pro nouns."
"I'm not offended if you get it wrong." I'll bet you're not even offended if they get it right. I bet you don't even pretend they got it wrong. "CIS" stands for "correctly identified sex"
The problem is when you have to fill out online forms and they ask you that question (sometimes it’s a box to check) and you can’t submit the form unless it’s completely filled out.
The public library that I volunteer at claimed to be creating a database and asked my preferred pronouns. I pushed back and said why do you need this and who has access. When confronted they claimed it was a big mistake and no database was being created.
Last time I got asked about my pronouns I told them, "I think you can see that I'm a man." It is important to no play along and voice that strongly for others to see that they are not alone. Just remember, they have no qualms of calling someone an old white man.
I used to have a manager who I could very clearly see was a man, and used male pronouns....well, turns out that it was a female who went through the entire transitioning process to the point where even I could NOT tell that she used to be female😳. She even had a wife. I didn't know until the manager left that job to move to her home state. So it doesn't say much by saying "you can clearly see that I'm a man". I was deceived by going by what I SAW. And trust me, if you met this person, you would also be deceived. Some of them transition very well to where no one can tell.
I have to say though, that was by far the best managers I've ever worked with/under. I was secretly sad when she/he quit to move away. 😔 Kindest human being I've ever met.
The way I found out was by her legal name, which she hasn't changed, on the schedule list. For some reason God kept that info away from me until AFTER she quit, maybe because God knew I wouldn't want to comply with the male name that manager wanted to go by. For about 1-2 years, I didn't know the legal name and real gender of my manager.
We're not required to live in anyone's mental illness or fantasy worlds. I truly don't care if that makes them angry or uncomfortable. It's not my job to be their surrogate therapist. Therapists get PAID to make you feel better about yourself. So it definitely isn't my responsibility to make anyone feel better at my expense. You don't get to bend or break the rules of reality just because your reality is broken. They need to deal with it.
I think if I'm ever asked what my preferred pronouns are I'll probably just walk away. No one I care to have a conversation with would ask that question. I've heard the argument "I was just being polite so I wouldn't offend you." I think it's offensive to assume someone you just met has a mental disorder or isn't smart enough to understand how gender works.
When I used to teach in college, on the first day of class, I introduced myself as Mr. So and So and added, "but you may refer to me as Sir. I will refer to you as You." Saved a LOT of trouble.
My doctor's nurse (we are well familiar with each other) was recently directed by the doctor to ask my preferred pronouns. We both smiled. I told her "she, her, and Your Majesty". The next time she came in the room she gave me a nice curtsy. We both laughed.
That is actually funny but it's also dumb because your majesty is a title not a pronoun in this context. So while I would find that situation humorous I would also question your basic intelligence and how fragile your ego might be that you would react in such a way to something that is in general not that substantial or significant.
You're correct in all you say and putting the pressure back to them , essentially setting them up to fail in their argument. But People with these evil twisted views do not think logically or safely. It is at this point discussion ends and most become verbally aggressive or at times physically aggressive . Which never works for them .
Was very insulted when joining a bingo club to be asked this crazy question! Been a female all my life and hopefully still am 🤣 asked the receptionist what she thought i looked like ? She said its not what you look like its about what you feel like 🤣 i said i feel like fish n chips 😋
Well, to be nice is to be agreeable and pleasant. So, yeah. With that being said, it just feels fake to ask someone to be nice because then that would technically be an act. It's likely a lie. Perhaps it's best to ask back to that person what they mean by being nice. And if they generate those two words, ask - what if I don't agree? Why should I be pleasant? Let them answer.
You're right it would blow their mind because I mean how could someone like you have never thought about it before so you know if I said hey she never thought about this before and I looked at you and said yes ma'am I guess you never thought about this before you wouldn't bat an eye Right? Because you never thought about it before right? People calling you her she and ma'am your whole life just wouldn't bother you right Oh wait a minute what you meant to say was you only use church approved pronouns
I was asked multiple times at work for my pronouns. After getting bothered and demanded multiple times that I need to provide them I responded, "I'm a firetruck". When I got a "you're not taking this serious", I replied with, "are you refusing to respect my preferred pronoun?" The person asking got quiet and I never got bothered again. I made a comment at work about our "lactation room" for new mothers, the sign on the door states, "women only" and I made the remark that it is discriminatory and just got a silent "we didn't hear anything" treatment. We also don't have feminine hygiene products in the men's room, another discriminatory practice if they ever push me hard enough on it.
I think the best response is to play dumb and say you don't understand what the other person is talking about. If they insist, just say you're a male or female. If they still persist, say that grammatically correct English will suffice. Be brave and don't participate in their game. Don't give them the oxygen they desire.
I've never been asked either. If someone did ask me, I'd just answer instead of being snarky. But you do you. Claim your moral high ground of being an asshat
My answer would be this… “I don’t play games” and ignore their behavior. If it’s someone with whom you have a professional or business relationship with (ex an MD) say “ since you aren’t capable of something so simple I can no longer trust your judgment and will take my business elsewhere” and leave. Simple as that. If enough ppl did it they would stop because they would lose too much money.
Strange, as whenever I encounter someone asking me about my pronouns, I simply walk away as my answer. I don't have the time, patience or desire to be around such people. It's nothing more than an indication that stress is going to be involved when associating with such people.

Insanity
Tricky one. She is likely unstable but that doesn’t make her a bad employee or make her sackable if she isn’t ( arguably less so in our current environment which emphasises kindness over goodness). If you can move, then do so, otherwise a joint approach to your manager may pay some dividend.

What rule was that?

How about F you and F you’s guys.
My pronouns are I/Me. Use them.
Maybe stay away from the fuk/fukself option.

It isn't a game. Some people really are transgender. Get used to it
Of all places a medical facility ought to be able to figure it out. If the can't I am not comfortable with them handling my medical needs.
Some people have dissociative disorder (multiple personalities). It would be a strange game, however, to superfluously ask everyone which of their identities they prefer to be addressed as, on the assumption that everyone has the same condition.

An important rhetorical point I have been making for years now,
I have no "preferred pronouns," I'm not proud of my sexuality either and I think it's silly that others are.
Pride in the absence of humility is vanity, and I don't value that as social currency.
I also like to have this question on deck when I'm faced with those dealing in gender delusion:
"If genitals are no indication of gender, because it's all just made up by society, right?
Then how does removing or mutilating them constitute an affirmation?"
Also, "gender affirming care does NOT affirm one's gender, it affirms a delusion, demands the rest of us participate in it, and recommends amputation of healthy organs for no other reason than satisfying one's feelings/dysphoria."

Hey, I was asked this question, "What's your preferred pronouns?" this morning in my school today, I feel like God sent me this vid prior to today and gave me the knowledge to answer back to the teacher in my homeroom who asked me and every student. You may respond by asserting that asking for pronouns is legitimate because sex is not gender and pronouns are not anchored in sex or in the characteristics associated with it. This means that, if I were to issue a questionnaire about preferred pronouns in my classroom, I would be forcing many of my students to implicitly affirm an ideology that they have strong convictions against. Actually. You can pick your own adjectives. You can say "I am American", or "I am catholic". No problem there.
I woke up today and realized that I identify as the Queen of England. My personal pronoun is "Your Majesty".
Lol love this 😂
I aim higher - I usually tell a questioner that I self-identify as Emperor of the Universe, my preferred pronouns are "His Galactic Majesty".
GOOD MORNING YOUR MAJESTY.
What about your bosses title? I identify as vice president?

I am a college student and when asked to write what my preferred pronouns are, I leave it blank.
While making an appt for my 89 year old father, we were asked that. I informed the person nither my father or I were mentally ill. That was the end of that.
I was asked for my pronouns in a client meeting, I took a deep breath and replied "No thank you, I'm too old for pronouns" and that was the end of that.
I would've just said, "No thank you." and left it at that. They don't need a reason why, just a hard NO! It's none of their business anyway.

My wife at been seeing a doctor several times over several months.
Then, on one visit, the doctor asked some inappropriate questions. One of them was, "Do you identify as male or female?"
I might have answered, "Yes."
My wife, however, has a mind like a steel trap. She thinks of herself as a bit overweight so she answered, "I identify as translender."
Good for you and your wife. Both of your replies are hilarious!

I was asked for "my pronouns" recently. I didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Thank God for this video.
"What are your pronouns?" My response: "What a bizzare thing to ask a complete stranger." All the while looking at them like they are insanely bizzare.
I love this video. I filed a legal case against my employer and the intake coordinator asked me what my pronouns were (hers were listed in the email), and I said "I don't have pronouns, but my license has my sex. I'm female." This video is great, it went with how I handled it, breath of fresh air

Greg makes a great point to put the ball back in their court. Ask a question, “Why are you asking me to be inauthentic to my own beliefs?”
There's an additional benefit to the tactic. There will undoubtedly be some that won't cooperate. Those are the real snakes who don't care that they're asking you to be inauthentic.
It's so pathetic that you think answering the question with the pronoun you honestly use for yourself is "inauthentic".

No one COULD force me to pray. The point is I am not going to bow my head and pretend to participate in their little ceremony, and if some of them notice I didn't and are offended, it is because they chose to take offense.
"so nothing to complain about."
Not participating in their ritual is NOT complaining about it. It's simply ignoring it.

Best response - "I am not mentally ill. What made you think that I'm crazy?"
Gosh that is hilarious😂🎉😮😅😊
A simple clearly stated firm response while looking them in the eyes has never failed me... "I don't do crazy. Either meet me in the real world or go away, because I don't have the time or desire to indulge in your delusions." Over a long career of dealing with the public, I've had to put up with way too many people who were choosing to act crazy to try to manipulate others to get what they want. Never engage with them on their terms. Sadly some I encountered, perhaps one in a thousand really couldn't control their minds because of medical issues. They got my sympathy and compassion. You get where you can tell the difference with time.
My response has always been...
_"I refuse to participate in other people's delusions."_
That really infuriates them. I just don't care!
Excellent response
A simple question I haven’t heard people ask is this: why is it okay to change the body to more align with the mind, but wrong to change the mind to align with the body? Or put another way: why can a doctor undergo surgery and remove body parts, but not for a doctor to seek to remove the thoughts and self perception?
It would seem to me major surgeries and a lifetime of taking powerful drugs is far more violent than therapy
I agree wholeheartedly. I've been saying this same thing.
Because if they do that, the cult loses it's power.
@@kimberlycarter369 I am sorry you are in such pain. I don’t mind your attacks and I can take the abuse if you need. I hope you find some peace.
“I go by me, myself, and I, and I don’t have any special requests for how others refer to me.”

"I'm not offended if you get it wrong."
I'll bet you're not even offended if they get it right. I bet you don't even pretend they got it wrong. "CIS" stands for "correctly identified sex"

But if somebody believes himself being Napoleon Bonaparte? You have to say:"Your Majesty!" ,or:"Mon General!"

I think if I'm ever asked what my preferred pronouns are I'll probably just walk away. No one I care to have a conversation with would ask that question.
The nurse probably thought that the whole pronoun thing was ridiculous.

That is actually funny but it's also dumb because your majesty is a title not a pronoun in this context. So while I would find that situation humorous I would also question your basic intelligence and how fragile your ego might be that you would react in such a way to something that is in general not that substantial or significant.

we aren't commanded to be "nice" we are commanded to be KIND. to be nice means we play into their narrative.
