Introverts: Aight not a problem my dude-
Jay Minami
I’m part of the group
Introverts: "Aight, this is my time to shine"
I was thinking that!!!😂😂😂🤣 #saynomore!!! Sayyyy lesss😂
FELT
For real though 😂😂
My brother is in the Marines and he told me they scare the civilian out of you
james hackman “they scare the civilian out of you,” damn dude xD
Yeah I can sew that😶
hehe nice
Soldiers should be civlilians with guns, rather than killing machines. Of course the Marine Corps doesn't share my opinion.
This is true
“It’s fine, they’re just yelling”
*The navy explained*
Lmao
They’re just yelling just all army branches explained
*Flamboyantly* yelling
“No caffeine?? What if you get tired?” Well if you get tired, then you stay awake
If you get tired just think of pounding you'll get if you fall asleep
If you get tired, stand up
If you get tired just sleep during class ......and that's how I became the king of cherry pickers
If your homeless, then buy a house.
MinecraftMario Boi very essential yes. Do that
Whatsup y’all! Have to change up the content for now until we get out of this quarantine. Hope you enjoy this one and thanks for the support!
Liked the video Austen!
by the way, they actually have a new policy at RTC where recruits store their belongings in a secured room on base.
U should react to the Marine Core boot camp
Do more there really cool and educational
Austen Alexander you should have her react to marine corps boot camp
Love your videos my dude!! Which military division do you think is the hardest?
“Do they give you sunscreen lmao” 😂😂
They definitely give them a skin tan😏
Request: Girlfriend reacting to U.S. Marines Bootcamp
just watching marine bootcamp makes me exhausted,i dont know how they do all that stuff
Do you want him to be single
My boyfriend showed me the Marine boot camp he had to do at Parris Island and I was like, “they took your wisdom teeth?” Him: “Yep. And only one shot of novocaine because the military don’t wanna splurge on you.” 😂
Silent wraith I was about to say the same exact thing.
USMC Bootcamp summed up in under a minute: ua-cam.com/video/Akx3uwhohmU/v-deo.html
Arrival night sucked the most, so every question she is asking is perfectly normal.. I had so many ppl ask me about arrival night and I told them about it and they were all just shocked on how much I went through on the first night
Gabriel Ruiz agree i think the hardest part of all bootcamp was the arrival night!😂
Sulma McGinnis Yeah It sucked so much
@@sulmamcginnis687 nahh it was sleeping at night especially when the females would all gather up and try and have a little speech moment at 12am and not to forget the charley horse at like 2 in the morning
Never forget my night of arrivals. Great time
Me on my bed eating family size doritos:
I can do that
Hahahahahaha same except I'm eating a box of donuts lmao
I doubt you'd make it past the processing part of bootcamp
Jordan Klein it’s a joke
lmao good joke.
Thank you to those serving our country. ⭐️
😂
Sarah: “They have to swim?” Yes...they’re navy
And yet, about 30% of all of the sailors in the fleet still cannot float/swim well enough to save themselves in an event of emergency; even though, all of them have, SUPPOSEDLY, passed the 3rd Class Swimming Qual. This, according to an article in one of the Navy Times Magazine back in early-2000's.
When I hung up on my mom on the Night of Arrival she was upset all the way up to Graduation.😂 She said that I better not hang up on her again, she said this bootcamp is different from back in the ‘90s.
Brianna G lol 😂 awww
I wouldnt even bother call until I graduate
I actually called to apologize for abruptly hanging up on her.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I went thru great lakes in January of 1988 , it wasn't like this back then at all .
No one :
Sarah: are they twins
Me: Is the sky blue
Well technically it's black like when it's dark. The sky looks different shades of blue depending on the water or lack of water. But the sky is always black, like night.
no one:
sarah every minute: "where are they going? what are they doing? what are they making them do?"
Is call asking questions
Ik it’s a joke
Omar YT you had me in the first half😂
It’s called she is blonde
The Fat Lizard funny
Yeah I was so annoyed by how dumb some of her questions were
Recruits calling home
Chief : “Hang up!”
Alexander : “Imagine your parents hearing that on the other end”
Drill Instructors : “SKAPAOWUEHBRIDJQNDJ LOOOOOUUUUDDDEEEERRRRRRRR. HDAOOAJWBFHWLLQPPAPAPANABDUWODNBW F LOUUUDDDDEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
@Bob Par nice bait. and if this isn't bait and you genuinely believe this, good job thinking you're brave being a keyboard warrior
Yes Chief
No chief
Maybe chief
I would be scared if someone yelled at me for no reason. This is very intense man-🖐😩 I gave all of you guys props. ✊
Exactly 😬
It ain't all that bad. It's worth it in the end.
Shooting Stars I’m scared of shots so I’ll be scared of the shots and the people yelling at me
Maddie Vlogs the shots are quick and you don't feel them much. You'll get used to the yelling quickly, and as long as you follow instructions and don't make yourself stand out then you'll be just fine.
@Sam When i was a kid i would fake my cry so my parents fell bad
and i can’t even finish 10 math problems without getting overwhelmed
basic training teaches you to view things in a digestible manner to reach your end goal. You have to hike 10 miles and that sounds like a lot? Alright, then for right now just think about 1 mile. When things get hard you think about one more step. When things don't feel as hard for you, you look at those around you and encourage them and reach your goal along with them. They will do the same for you. It doesn't teach you this directly, but your brain/body will naturally figure out how to get past challenges and it only gets better at solving these problems the more problems you throw at it. Which is exactly what the training does. So you learn to adapt and overcome.
You must hate watching movies with your girl 🤣 “what are they doing now?” “Who’s that?” “But why?”
I swear she was starting to piss me off.
Yeah she was getting really annoying
@@jciglesias7928 Yes and if yours does that then It's time to ditch her!
I'm like this. I like it when my bf watch movies before me so when I have questions he has the answers
@@janeosana9658 There's nothing wrong with asking a few questions here and there every once in a while. But the chick in the video took it overboard. She was just asking too many questions and it was ridiculous. I couldn't go 30 seconds anywhere in the video without her asking her boyfriend why the fucking walls were a certain color.
“I could do that I yell at you all the time” “but you couldn’t get yelled at” “.....yeah you’re right i’d probably cry” hahahaha i love sarah so much
Marine and Army people watching this “Haha look guys, Disney World”
Disney world or not my Retired monthly pay check the same when you leave bro. One service cuzz
Marines and Army soldiers are dumb tho you only have to make a 20 on the asvab 😂😂😂
Dark Beard that’s just not how that works for any branch
@@darkbeard2849 any man that is willing to lay there life down for your freedom is neither dumb or stupid. Respect the hustle because all members are brave warriors whether they seen combat or not. Respect all and you will understand what we stand for.
dd214fishing 😂
“Why did they feel sick?” How could you NOT feel sick after all of that?
Wow, I have a lot of respect for anyone who even tries to get into the Navy. That was really intense. Keep up the great videos!
navy bootcamp is a mental game that is for sure
LifewithJules 👆👆 she’s implying that it’s not as physical as it is mental.
You want a lil more exercise I’d say the army or marines is the way to go...
K Shih I’m heading to navy boot camp as soon as I’m 17, super excited.
Just listen and do as your told , turn on the robot switch . When I went thru great lakes there were 3 navy boot camps , the women all went to the Orlando boot camp .
@@Teddy-mu5pw I graduated this valentines day that just passed. It's honestly not hard, just dont give up on yourself. There are times when it's fun, I promise
I've watched the bootcamp video about 10 times now and I always get emotional when they are graduating. I will enlist in a month and can't wait to be pushed and overcome those challenges, I can't wait to feel the pride of graduating.
6:43 is literally my FAVORITE PART OF ALL TIME 🤣🤣
I've replayed this far too many times bro...
THIS AINT IT CHIEF
SAAAAAY SOMMMMMETHING!😂😂😂
The Chief gave the recruit the option to respond neither yes or no. In case the recruit wasn't certain. That way, the recruit wasn't stuck answering just yes or no. In case the instructions weren't clear.
Your girlfriend didn't get to see ANY of the actual training? Firefighting, gas chamber, water survival etc. WTF BRO??
No I’m sure she did man, Austen just probably shortened it up for the sake of the video not being an hour or so longer.
@@christopherpena1370 No point of a reaction video if you cut out the best bits.
Christopher Pena he said she was only going to watch 20 minutes
that was rude
@@aliviawantek8888 Wanker!
Sara is literally me asking all of the questions 😂
The longer I watch this video I’m like “she’s so cute I love her”😂😂😂 This is the first video I’ve seen with your girlfriend in it. She’s adorable and this was so fun to watch😂😂
I bet she’s thinking “if he can go through this, what can I put him through?”
BINGO!!!!
HAHAHA TRUE
Omg lol
😂😂😂
I had some of the best RDCs in the Navy. Sitting here today watching this brings back some of my most favorite memories in my life. I would put boot camp in my top 5 favorite memories and that is including giving birth to my kids. I will always be so grateful for the woman I am today because of the Navy and more so Navy boot camp! Thanks for this video!
Boot camp and my service in the Navy , is in my top 3 best memories in my life . I went thru great lakes in January of 1988
I arrived there October 2013. One of my RDCs was a Marine before switching over to Navy. It was hell. Lots more screaming than they showed in this documentary. I watched videos on Marine basic training and it looks very similar to when I was at RTC in terms of how recruits are treated. It all depends on your RDCs; I ended up with 3 RDCs that all saw actual combat in Iraq (a Marine and 2 Seabees). The one teared up while telling us how he had to shoot people. The Navy isn't all about ships, some jobs get deployed to the front lines to assist the Marines, even if you're a culinary specialist.
Marine Boot Camp*
Well, I got stuck with the U.S. Army in A'Stan for about a year, British Army (1st tour in Iraq) for about 6 months, helping various units for about 3 months (2nd tour in Iraq), and French Army (in Djibouti) on & off for about 3 months.
I was in the Navy for 10 years, I had only about 10 months of Total Sea Time and 3 days in a sub.
I have also met couple of SEABEE Chiefs that have been in the Navy for nearly 20 years and they had never seen the inside of a ship/sub.
6:45 no one:
Not a soul:
RDC:
The dog:
Austen: "I'mm givingg up on youuu🎶" 😂😂😂
This is going to be so much fun, I'm really looking forward to it.
I feel like I would think of a meme while they are yelling at me and laugh by accident.
HONESTLY i was thinking the same thing 😂😂
You'll find it hard to think of anything really
They don't like it if you laugh. Lol
Lmao you'll learn not to laugh real quick, unless you dont wanna sleep for 72 hours
My sister graduated a few weeks ago and apparently they don’t make you ship stuff home anymore! They just store it in that box until you’re done.
bed drills became one of my favorite parts of BMT. you do it so much that you can become perfect at it. its definitely a form of punishment but I didn't mind getting yelled at while making my bed with perfect hospital corners for 2+ hours by the end of it all.
I loved the video. You guys should react to the other branches boot camps as well
I love talking about RTC and watching videos of it and comparing it with my sister when I graduated from OCS and sharing funny stories. Funny times. 😂😂😂
So this is what my brother had to go through when he went to Great Lakes. He was a corpsman from 2013-2018.
Cool video bro, I went to USMC boot camp back in 04. Brought back memories.
This looks like an interesting experience. Definitely not an easy one but worth doing if you can. 👍🏻
I have one in the fleet and one that is graduating from boot today! Wish I could’ve seen him graduate at Midway Ceremonial Hall but due to this pandemic that is not possible. Not going to lie, I shed a few tears watching the moment the recruits became Sailors on graduation day. Hooyah! Go Navy!
8:18 i had that chief. my man made us the most fit division since he was used to working with the BUDS-boys. i think he was a tomahawk tech if i remember correctly?
It’s amazing how civilians react to military training. Especially Marine Corps boot camp. They have no idea what a recruit goes through. Ladies and gentlemen freedom is not free. God bless the men and women of our military.
10:38 I remember thinking to myself at bootcamp during 3rd phase like “damn if i went navy id be graduated already”
Y’all need to react to Marine Corps boot camp
together
Goodness. This reminds me of when my little brother finished his bootcamp. I was so worried about him, but he pushed through and we had the honor of watching his graduation. He has been in for 9 years now and says he's going to do the life thing. He says all the time he would love to be an RDC.
This was fun to rewatch! I graduated from RTC in March and watching this again brings memories! They also didn’t ship our boxes back, the kept them in storage until we left for school and we got our stuff back right before we got on the bus
Ayeee who were your RDCs
You should challenge chris Haria from thenx to do a navy pt test
Yes I completely agree
YES
Omg Yessss
Yeeeeeees
this would be the best
I joined May of 1987, graduated from company 168.
Our C.C."s were 1st class Petty officers and didnt wear kakies, they wore (before Navy used camo) dungarees. 20:38 no shave, drop and "push the deck" We did A LOT more pushups. Served on the bird farm USS Independence CV-62, left a HT2 E-5
I joined so I could be a welder plumber pipefitter fabricator. Been doing it ever since for 30+yrs and on my own for over 20 years thanks to the Navy
“There going to their swim qualification”
“Are they out to swim?”
Nah they out to run
One year and 2 weeks. I was in that line. Today. After a year and 14 days. I stepped on my ship fir the first time after "A" school. Proud sailor of SSGN 727 (B) USS Michigan
Austen! When are we seeing a colab with Matt Ward (or another military youtuber?)
ARMY UA-camR
Yeah Austen...when are you going go do that.
finally a more realistic Navy bootcamp vid, the other Navy ones were recruitment vids
Love this channel andddd love when Sara is in your videos !!!
Thank you!
More of these please! I love Sara’s reactions
She just called a chief petty officer 😂😂💀 she’s getting smoked.
Thats the name of the position "petty officer [blank]" lol
@@nanux99 ..... No, that was a chief. If you want to be technical, it is Chief Petty Officer. Petty Officers have the silver eagle on chevrons. But you don't call a chief "Chief Petty Officer".... Don't try to correct someone when youdoo't know what you're talking about.
Great video. Expectations are high. Self-discipline is demanded. My child has a sneak-peek of what to expect this fall. Go Navy!
Imagine doing this period cramps😭😭I could never
Tbh the exercise might help, sounds counter intuitive but if you manage to do some exercise when you have cramps it tends to lessen the pain
Love to see what happened to my son behind the scenes. The Navy was the best thing for my son and he is excelling.
I hate being yelled at. Yelling just makes no sense to me.
I'm Portuguese. Yelling is the only way we know how to talk. And rapid hand flailing.
In a stressful loud environment like gun fire... this will be like natural reflexes...that's y they do it. To shock you.
Illuminate_ Me if someone yells at me you finna catch some hands up in this bitch
@@lobster6792 also th fact that i commented doesnt mean i literally trowing hands u dip shit and also being a pussy wont stop me from going to the force cause there is literal pussy in there
It's to kind of numb you down and make you used to operating in a stressful environment. It's kind of like someone who has worked retail for many years and shitty customers don't phase them anymore.
I just finished bootcamp a month ago during COVID bootcamp has changed so much from this video
Most people complaining of her questioning of things are really just annoyed by the audio, try to edit her audio a bit( lowering how loud it is) and that portion wouldn’t be bad at all. Constructive, have a great day yall
Recruit: *takes a breath*
Drill sergeant: *"DID YOU LISTEN TO ME, I SAID NO BREATHING FOR 1 MINUTE SOLDIER!!!"*
The first night was probably the funniest times of my life. Only time I got yelled at bc I was laughing.
their very strong ❤️, thank you all for your service.
Nobody:
Sarah: what’s that? Who’s that? Where’s that?
I went to boot camp when there was one in Orlando (1982). Not much has changed since then. You have to listen to what you're told, and pay attention to detail. It wasn't a cake walk, but then again, it's not supposed to be. Good and bad memories from 37 years ago.
As of December 2019 you put your stuff into a locker until you graduate boot camp and then you get it back
Demon Chaser65
Yeah that makes more sense because ur phone could technically break due to heat or get stolen
Stolen as in everything you had in that box
In the Marine corps you just leave your phone at home haha
What’s up man, I just graduated from RTC on august 27th and so many things have changed about bootcamp but it’s so funny seeing all this stuff from when I went through it.
Me: **see’s title...thinks....turns down volume**
As a new sailor and that graduated from Naval bootcamp March 6th 2020, we put our civilian belongings in a box but they keep it on base. I was the last graduating division that had a regular graduation. My training group of 15 divisions. Bootcamp was challenging, but I am proud to be an Engineman. King of ALL SNIPES. Hooyah Snipes!
If someone screamt at me I'd cry instantly. Especially if someone was up in my face like that
I'm super proud for making part of US Navy.
It's cool to watch everything that I pass, I will bring these memories to my grave, but the first 2 or 3 weeks are terrible 😅
Be a military it's in my blood and soul!
Hooyah Navy 🇺🇸⚓💪🏻
just graduated a couple weeks ago, shit sucked loll.
What was the hardest part of the top of your head?
@@nanux99 i graduated last December. The hardest part was staying awake. Or standing watch on the quarterdeck from 0400 to 0600
Keanu White hardest part is learning how to get beat for someone else's fuck ups lmao especially when you just got done with hygiene and you have to go to bed drenched 😂 other than that everything else is a mental and physical challenge for others but to me that stuff was easy
I’m not navy but I just finished Army Basic training and am currently at Airborne school
Keanu White hardest part was a) staying awake and b) the first phone call everyone cries that first phone call but they best part was the ending like 2 weeks before graduation and the last phone call when you get to tell your loved ones that you are going to graduate and become a U.S Sailor
17:05 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 “what if you got tired” omfg you have no idea.... staying up for 3 days straight receiving week of bootcamp, cleaning weapons in the knee for 48 hours at mct, and 24 hour duty shifts....all without caffeine...
"Look at all their heads haha"
"Your head would look like that too if it was shaved"
...nervous laugh
Great video! It brought back some memories for me. I was at Great Mistakes I mean Lakes in 1996 in the middle of winter. Snow flakes so large they'd give you a black eye. File it in, file it in... division, half left face... DROP! oh lord
I love how in every vid on some words he has an accent and most he doesn’t.
I can tell you for certain. 100%. In the Air Force, we do not keep our phones during BMT. We DO get 1-2 phone calls during the 8-9 weeks of BMT.
Guy screaming in your face . What a great way to ... spread Corona virus . All the droplets ....
Aye chief
Great video the navy has change boot camp for the better I was a company commander back in the eighties they accomplish there goals
If anyone is wondering...you do not ship your personal belongings home. They just go in a storage on base. You get the box back the day before you graduate but can’t open it.
Her: “i know I’m from Ohio allis” him “ok”😂💀💀
Boot-Camp Hack: There is caffeine! Coffee is decaf but they got Green-Tea Packets! I used to mix it with Honey and add ice to cool it down.
This seems tame. I went through in 1996 and Our chief threw a wooden totem at a guy and it shattered on his bunk. Im blessed to have served in the dungaree Navy, the same century as my grandfather who served in WWII.
One RDC threw at table at someone while I was there. Different century, same bootcamp.
I still remember bootcamp like it was yesterday and I've been in the navy for 18 months.
I remember at reception when I was talking to my dad and he said “ I love you” but I saw the DS walking in my direction so I hung up😅
thank you for explaining what all their lingo meant, i was rlly curious !! :)
The only thing in this video that scared me was the shots omg!!! Did y’all see how many shots they got? I almost puke 💀 needles are my only phobia and I just signed up for the navy wish me luck 😂 tomorrow I have a meeting with a recruiter and I’ll be taking the asvab test but yeah really only the shots scare me, I was in rotc for 2 years so everything else look familiar
Clumsy Cat at least you know you are not alone! But it will happen so quickly you can get it out of your way and never have to worry about it again! You got this!!!
I remember my time at RTC. We had one RDC that went by "The Sandman". Guy was hardcore but a big softy at heart. We woke up every morning at 5am with Metallica's Enter Sandman..we had till the end of the song to be up, dressed and ready for inspection. Wild 8 weeks.
“Greatest naval force in the world”
Royal Marines - “am I a joke to you”
Royal Marines is not a navy force
Yes the royal marines are a joke.
NPSALTY thanks for the opinion 🤟
pantherswfyfl amen
So what do you think the Navy Seals are? You know the US also has marines that are on navy ships right??
I've seen the original video before. It was cool to see some commentary on it from someone who was there and in the navy.
Holy, I am super sensitive, and if I get yelled at you bet imma be soon into tears so I know I ain’t gonna be in the army or navy
Ella Meagher Then stop
The Council I didn’t say I was in it :)
Ella Meagher Yes, I know
Same girl I would literally burst into tears the minute someone yells at me
Grace Lyndsay Why?
So different then 1982!! You guys have cooler uniforms!! We had the old Dungarees!! We did not have Battle stations then!! We just learned each element of it separately. I also got lucky as I was assigned to a specialty company (State Flags) so a good portion of our training was preparing for the graduation before us and our own.
I was told no for service but now im in homeland security and i love it
17:10
"What if you got tired..?"
answer: standing in the back of the classroom
I’d just want to lay low and knowing me I’d get extra attention for whatever reason I wouldn’t be able to figure out lol
Rug sacks are really useful especially for travel. Lots of room and easy to store
