    One of the most no nonsense, straightforward gun guys on the internet. Every video is just useful facts, without the extras...

    Every restriction on ammunition and firearms is unconstitutional, and almost always is sold to people as a measure of "saftey." What's new.

    • @WobblyRooster
      @WobblyRooster Рік тому +3

      It’s not a restriction to own so it’s not unconstitutional at all. It’s a restriction to hunt and in places in the Midwest where public land is arguably over hunted during gun season, it’s not a horrible idea. Fairly logic driven unlike a lot of laws

      I'd add that Midwestern states are flat. There's no mountains and plenty of cover for unknowing people to hide behind. There should be a restriction. High-powered rifles easily go miles beyond backdrop. It's common fricken sense ya lunatic ITS A PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERN!

    I bought one of these to train my grandkids. And other young relatives. The fine art of marksmanship. Not every store carries the ammo here in California. But those that do carry it. Have a good supply, for a good price.
    I originally bought a new barrel to modify an AR-15 to 350 legend. Even though some states allow deer to be taken with .223/5.56. I was trying to demonstrate the advantages of using a bullet with more mass than the AR-15 typically uses.
    I have several shotguns, surplus military rifles, and a 6.5 Creedmoor. But the 350 legend is nice to shoot as a target rifle at 100-200 yards. Winchester claims this round has 14% more energy than a 30-30. I am overall well pleased with this round. And am considering a 6.8 Western as my next rifle. As that is another scientifically designed round.

      Hello James, I am also in California and wish to learn more about the process in owning a gun in our state. Also, as a brand new beginner what guns would you recommend I start with to familiarize myself with a firearm.

    I bought a 22 rifle/scope package from Savage several years ago and it was cutting the stems off weeds at 50 yards, right out of the box.

    I live in Florida, the land of hogs, deer, bear and gators and now an endangered mouse. I found an Axis II in left hand bolt which I love. You are right about the action not being the smoothest. However, some of this I attribute to the higher pressures in .350 Legend which exceeds 50,000 psi even in the 145 gr FMJ target round. The brass expands in the chamber more than this old reloader could imagine making extraction a little stickier. Case observation reveals gas blowback almost to the rebated rim after firing. So, I'm not concerned about action smoothness knowing the pressures are higher than normal for a straight wall cartridge. When cleaning after a day at the range I make sure the chamber has been thoroughly cleaned. Carbon build-up in the chamber would make chambering and extraction really difficult in my opinion. I know the Ruger American in .350 Legend has garnered negative reviews for having unreasonably difficult extraction and only with this particular chambering. Head spacing could be another issue. How the Legend is head spaced is a miracle to me. I load only shouldered brass where headspace is determined by the shoulder on the brass. With a rebated rim and no shoulder I have no idea how Winchester was able to get this brass chambered without headspace issues. The tolerances may be so fine that small variances in the chamber or the brass may make extraction and even live round chambering a little more difficult. I will say, I think the .350 Legend punches way above its weight. I think it's a great little cartridge. Watching my 11 year old grandsons kill two big bucks in Ohio convinced me to downsize my caliber for deer which are not that hard to kill. A .45-70 is huge overkill for deer sized animals and the Legend appears to hit the sweet spot for deer, hogs and bear.

    I live in NJ and the guy I bought it from thought I was a nut job. After researching this round, I am very impressed, and after shooting it, even more. The energy and accuracy out to 150 yards is unmatched. Especially when price and recoil are a factor. It is my first rifle, and I'm extremely happy. I will say, it's hard to find cheaper ammo for this in NJ, a lot of shops only Carry the winchester 2 dollar bullet hunting stuff. There is always online and gun shows, and if you loom hard enough, you will find cheaper range ammo! Take care thanks for the excellent video!

    Nice, my buddy chose the 450 bushmaster with the ruger . I chose a 243 savage axis 2 xp as we are ok to hunt with rifles during deer season, any cartridge. The bushmaster breaks small trees

    The stock does have a spacer, but it is not adjustable for length of pull from the factory. Not an accustock. You have to modify the recoil pad to make it work.

    God Bless you, nice, informative, video. My Son just bought one of these down here yesterday for a Thanksgiving hunt up in Michigan. He bought his, with the Vortex scope eith the 350 reticle, out the door at Cabella's, for $600.00 .... are you sure that $499 price you quoted is not for the plain Axis, not the Axis II? Also Alan, friend, please work on the smacking during breather pauses .... smack, smack, smack, smack. Not cool. Anyways, upvoted/liked and shared with my boy. We do not worry about being limited to straight-walled cartridges down here in the deep south ... but we understand why, I guess, why you do it up there.

      That one your son got costs more because of the scope. Vortex is a higher value optic than Bushnell. Also if his talking annoys you that much, go watch a different video.

      @@toddevannn how about this instead Todd. How about you go read different comments? If what I wrote, in a very pleasant friendly way, if it bothers you .... then go read a romance novel or a soy boy cook book or sokething slick. Or go read the comments under cosplay videos, or how to put on your makeup, or whatever it is that your ilk does when you're not running around commenting on youtube videos telling others what do do, say, or watch. Lol at your type .... Toddy boy. Or is it Todd Sally? You Karen .... lol.
