Once NIO and BYD make it over to Canada/USA that will be the end of Legacy auto over here. The ET7 would be a great seller over here. Thanks for posting the review and congrats on a sweet looking ride.
Will be very interesting to see how these Chinese EVs are received overseas…it’s not going to be the same entrance of cheap ecoboxes the Japanese and Koreans entered into the market with.
Chinese EV will probably never make it to Canada because of the USA.

These cars are not the bargains China initially seemed to offer. Chinese cars initially promised to circumvent overinflated materials and manufacturing costs. They don't seem to anymore. The desire to enter the market at a higher level, which itself is not a bad thing, appears to have either taken their eyes off the cost control ball or have made them greedy. They will surely have to rethink their strategy when they actually enter international markets.
Looks so unreal. It actually looks like a concept car that we always see a lot but when the cars actually go on sale theu never look as futuristic as the concept/model car

Never would I thought I would be so excited over Chinese made cars, but in recent years, this thought has changed. I am overly excited over all these Chinese made EVs. China probably has the most EV brands than any other makers globally. And they look exciting and fresh!

That color came from the factory? Awesome!!😎 I was not a fan of the brand but when they did this et7 & adopted this et7 good looks to their newer models the es7 & et5, am a fan!😄 Will the brand comes to SEA? Boy it's gonna b tough to choose when it comes.. this et7, es7, et5 & soon the brand new coupe suv ec7. Let's make more $$!!😅
it is not a factory colour. it’s wrapped. The factory colour of my car is the Artic Green or Aurora Green

haha. the ES7 is a smaller vehicle than the ET7. the ES7 is not a flagship like the ET7. but might have better storage, rear reclining seats and fold down rear seats.
Sounds like you should decide if you want/need a sedan or a SUV ... ? For me the limited storage is really what kills it as a do it all family car, so the ES7 would be my choice between the two. There's hoping NIO takes a jab at the Zeekr 001 and makes a variant that keeps the sportiness of a sedan but with practicability of a hatchback, possibly based on the ET5 and this would be perfect.

As a Hong Konger, it really is a shame that they don't have the RHD model here yet. I recently had a quick getaway to GuangZhou, and went to a NIO showroom, and unfortunately I didn't have a licence to test drive it, it was pretty sweet. Im looking at the EC7 because I am around 6 foot 2. And btw, i love the green on your car!
So I saw on twitter someone drove down from Mainland to Harbour City. Guangdong plate. Black HK plate. So you might see one driving around lol.

No no no. As I said, I opted for the Artic green but I’ve wrapped it. I did say it’s not a factory colour.

Sorry to burst your bubble. But in the video my ET7 is wrapped in Avery Hope Green Satin SW900. Now it’s a satin purple.
Honestly the Artic green is a bit of a disappointment. In the right light it’s a great colour. But far too often it just looks a very greyish green with a lack of saturation.

Please let the video editor know they need to change the right channel of audio to source from the left, it must have been recorded with a safety channel, but now the left is louder than the right.

Most EVs have great designs. This one has beautiful unique color too.
But its dashboard design is a bit office desk looking with its tablet sticking out. Would be nice if it's imbeded into the dashboard, what do you think mate?
So this is my car and the colour is a wrap.
The screen thing, embedded screens can look good but usually end up having to be smaller. What i would say is this low down screen proposition is perfect for easy to reach.
This is also the “NIO style” But plenty of EV options here so there is plenty of chance to find the one you like.

I’m not an expert on ADAS however I’d say for current L2 systems and L2 + advance features like NOA and AVP vision only is fine. For future more advanced ADAS I’m not sure. all I know is every robotaxi without a driver in the car is using multiple LiDAR I’m addition to their Vision capabilities.
as far as the speakers systems go. great for movies with spatial audio. music is also good but not as much of an impact.
I’ll also add I was in the base Zeekr without the upgraded Yamaha speaker system. so I can’t speak too much to its performance.

Looks great, but honestly I prefer the Han.
The Han is a decent package for the price. Different price point to this. But it has some features available like rear reclining seats which aren’t in the ET7.

I also put a deposit down fairly early after test drives started. I’m not one to put money down before actually driving it/seeing it in person. So I’ve had it about 2 1/2months now
Very cool, I’m in the USA and I’m an invested in Nio. I am hoping one day that Nio’s quality and value and of course battery swap can propel the company to many countries and become a worldwide brand. 🤞🏼 Interesting to see perspectives of all types of buyers so far. Also I agree with you on the design of the suv so far. Not so impressive. But ET7 an ET5 are hot for sure. Thanks again

when y going to compare against mercedes e class to see the comfort and cabin noise level? y said mercedes is more comfortable but i dont believe it unless y actually drives an e class vs the et7 because they are direct competitors based on the price of both cars. mercedes e class also goes for 70k here in the usa
go see wheelsboys video. I said it’s not Mercedes’ magic ride levels of comfort ;) the e-class doesn’t have magic ride afaik

looks are a subjective thing, which is a good thing otherwise every car would look the same. So I appreciate and accept if you personally prefer Teslas styling.
The lumps up top on the ET7 put me off when I first saw it in pictures. but in person it doesn’t draw your eye. I’ll try to find some Teslas and park next to them and take some shots. Put them up in twitter look side by side.
Interior wise Teslas feel less premium. More hard plastics etc.
