You did a good job. I ordered mine with wheel spacers and set to the widest spacing and fluid filled from my dealer. Very happy with my set up. I just did a 2 part review of my L2501 and show how wide my tractor is now. I live in the hills of northeast Iowa and it needs to be wide for safety and stability. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you, I had the question if could also use the Kubota l spacers with the widest r1 spacing glad to hear it works. Also on hills here. Are your tires also filled with ballast liquid?
Just thought I’d share that you can do the front as well contrary to what you will read the r1 front wheels have tapered lug holes on both sides,I just did the front and rear of my l2502
At the start were your valve stems at inside or out side of the rims as they did change when swapped rims. What did your spacing change? What size tires you have? I have 12.4 x 24 on my L-2550 and according to my manual there are 6 different spacing you can achieve depending on if you flip the center hub or not . I think you have 2 width settings w/o moving the wheels + tires from side to side but when you did move from side to side you gained a much wider 3rd setting but your valve stem is opposite. Thanx for the video.
Hello Joel. I am looking for rims like the ones you have on your tractor. Mine are 9.5 x 24. Is that your size? Do you know where I could get a new or used rim this size?
I didn't add new rims or tires--they are the stock model that came with the tractor. I’d say your local dealer is your best bet for finding something new or used, and making sure you get the right size.
I like how you did the PC correct way of jacking up the rear. You know most of us would just but blocks under the rear 3-point and use the tractor's hydraulics to lift it up! 😀
That’s a good question. I don’t have a set of R4 tires so I don’t have a good way to check that. Perhaps your dealer could answer this for you? If you find out I would be curious to know!
I’ve got a couple videos that show a tree saw. Here’s one people seem to like quite a bit: Sidney tractor tree saw on Kubota L2501 ua-cam.com/video/MFLAr4hCGUA/v-deo.html
You know, I was wondering why you chose to undo the outer rim from the inner instead taking the entire tire (LoL) off and flipping it around. Thank you for the clarification.
In order to keep the thread the correct way the valve stem will have to change from coming out from the inside to out side. I like to have mine coming out the outside so they are easier to access.
You’re welcome! No, the tires are not filled. They would obviously be quite a bit heavier and more difficult to maneuver if they were! But without being filled the tires weren’t too bad to move around by myself.
@@JoelGaeddert Thanks Joel. I have a L3901 with fluid filled tires and I am wanting to widen them like you did, but not sure what I will get into with the added weight! I may have to call in some help for that :)
@@jasonsechrist1 on page 65 of the manual it says that "you can not adjust width of the front tread" so it looks like the answer is no. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
Did you know that when you loosen a nut and bolt that has a lock washer on it oh, you should turn the bolt not the nut. When you turn the nut it unsprings the lock washer

a must with these tractors as well as filling the rear tires with water......
Water doesn't work so well in areas that freeze. Dealer will fill with beet juice. Lower freezing point.
wow thanks i bought one recently and was looking at wheel spacers , 7 inches will be enough i bet
Does your valve stem sit on the outside now? How do you protect it?

Thank you, should the front wheels be reversed as well, to get a wider stance?
I already did it, the answer is YES... Its amazing,, thanks anyways...
You actually can’t reverse the front wheels in the same way on this tractor so far as I’m aware-it would throw off the toe-in.
Kubota says it creates too much stress on the front.

Did I see cracking in the sidewall of the tire when you had it on the ground?
Can you do the front wheel too
No, unfortunately not (according to page 65 of the manual).

Haha, yeah, as a new first-time tractor owner I'm likely more cautious than most!
There is no hydraulic down pressure on standard 3 point setup. Only lift pressure.
Is it wider than the r4 tires?

No problem. Thanks for watching!
You swap the tires around so your tread is facing the right way
Yep, that’s right.

Is good i like it
