B2601 with turfs ,main reason for purchase was mowing. R14 wasn't a option when I bought mine. The 4 ply I do watch for sticks when cutting/hauling dead ash and box elder my biggest fear is tire puncture. I love the turfs on the little bit of snow work I've done 😀
Hahaha, too funny, I think that LX2610 with the turfs may be my order! I chose the turfs because we plan on doing a lot of residential work on and around finished lawns, along with snow blowing in the winter. We have R1 ag. tires on an older L3010, and they are very rough on finished lawns, driveways, hot tarmac etc. Nice to hear the pros and cons of each, thanks for the great video as always.
Good video. I've seen youtube videos that had larger / wider tires on tractors and was wondering why we never see a wider tire on midsize tractors. The idea behind the wider tires has to do with the footprint and traction. My interest is having wider tires on a 66 hp tractor.
The R-14 tires on my 3901 have not held up well on the road. I have to drive to load pumpkins every year and this is my third season using them and the fronts are really wearing badly. I am wondering if the front end was never really aligned from the factory because there is a little more wear on the right front. I have driven 30 miles this week alone loading pumpkins. This is my last year driving to the fields that are a 6-mile round trip. I am getting ready to trade in my 3901 for a 4701.
Sticks go through R14s like a hot knife through butter. Even the radials with the steel belting. If you have these don’t run them through the woods or you will be sorry.
Do they sell an R14 for the L6060? I have R4s now but they don’t do so well in mud compared to my last tractor which had R1s. Just ordered a B2601 with R14s to take care of my lawn needs around the house, so time will tell.
R14 enjoying some new age hype- Will never match ghe durability or endurance of r4's- Have several tractors If I could only have one tire it would be r4- Have one set on 30hp Kubota thats 20 years old original to tractor Clearing lots in woods lot loader work- Dont think 14's would come any where close to holding up- I also purchased set chains when I first got tractor but have never used them - If yourfarming in fields run ag tire - Loader & general purpose especially where dont and tear up lawn r4's hands down - Pushing snow hard to beat turf tires or big wheel Farmall-
Hey guys, I have the Kubota STW40, the tires on it are the Garden Pro 320/70/r20, need to narrow it down a bit because of my old vineyards, any suggestions on tire size, model… I would rather have the agroindustrial but agro is fine… something in the 280 line? Thank you.
Great review and just in time. I'm going to ask for turf instead of R14's on the subcompact (kioti cx2510) that's coming next week since I'm planning to use it more on lawns and even snow removal.
Great video - very informative. Thanks for posting!

Hands down - the best and most thorough comparison of the tire options available. Thanks Jack - well done!
Wow, thanks Gord! Glad you are enjoying the videos.
The R14's are AMAZING in snow, especially when compared to an R4!

That is awesome haha! Turfs are the way to go for any kind of finished property, you'll love them in the snow too.

I run the R4 tires and love them, but will change to R14s when these ones wear out. ! Thanks
Chances are they will never wear out
@@bowdoin5063 that's also very true.
I want a full set of turf tires with rims for a LX2610 , It’s hard to find them

Which type of tire do you run on your tractor and why did you choose it? Let me know below!

That would be a heavy tire to put on by yourself without a tractor if it's filled with fluid weight.
Everybody's choices? who cares about everybody? What about the R1 tires?
Which tire will help me get a RIM JOB????
it's not ashphalt it's asphalt
Ashfault
😂😂
Ass-phault..... not ashphalt. Sorry.... it was driving me nuts.
I had the same thought…
