Let's play a new Automation campaign in the Ellisbury Update (LCV 4.3) of the game! Again, we try an extreme 100x difficulty setting, which will be proper hard with improved competitors and new emission regulations.

@@the.bavarian Maybe something like an Abarth 595 of the Period? a Compact, Affordable, Cute, Economical little Peoples Car "based on" a model from SPAM...Fitted up with a Hot Engine, a Racy Interior, and Sports Suspension, Brakes, etc and sold in Enormous Numbers to give Cisalpina some actual profits? although I doubt Claudio Asink would be very 'appy about it!

Interesting to create a road-legal formula car. I'm guessing Ferrari didn't have to worry about emissions or other legalities, so in some sense you had a much harder challenge.
True, it definitely is harder in Automation if you actually want to sell a few cars.

Hmm, now i wonder would it be viable to do the same kind of development for the company's next big engine? After all, that V8 is still partially cast iron, only direct ohv 2 valve and quite small, and since in 1967 the regs will go to 3 litres it may be a good idea (though the finance department wont be happy probably). Also the 3 litre could be applied to prototype class cars or maybe a road car homologation model for the same class as the Porche 917.
917 was 5 Litre (Group 5) , 908 was the 3 Litre (Group 6) , the one they used for the Targa Florio and the Nürburgring as the 917 was too blessed big! :)
I am not too sure if we can pull something proper off in the upcoming years as the company is pretty much in a ditch right now. But still, in 1967 there was a sub 2 liter class in the world sportscar championship. Maybe that's our place if we cannot get something larger done until then.

The F1 Car is Road Legal in Automation? Hmm, that gives me an Idea! If Cisalpina Survives (or SPAM allows it if they Take over, Might however will order all Lorenzo Projects Stopped and Scrapped to just place Cisalpina Badges on the "Performance" versions of their own Cars, like Ford would have done with Ferrari...) maybe you could add some Cycle Wings, A Proper "Closed" Tail, some Lamps, an Asink (Abarth- (A Bath) Asink (A Sink) heheh! ;)) Tuned Road (and thus Emissions Compliant) Legal version of the new 2 Litre SPAM 8 Valve "Lampreadi" Twincam Engine and a Number plate to a "Variant" and basically make the LCC Rocket of the 1960's?

The Ferrari was V6 and No Expense was Spared, 165HP was about what the 4 Cylinder Coventry Climax "Customer" Units were Producing However, so 163HP is still a very Accurate amount of Power for a 4 of the Period. The weak Conrods could be an Issue however, Each Engine has to do over 800 Miles (4 Races) before Replacement, so you do not want a "Life Broad Arrow" on your hands that goes *Bang* within just 8 Laps even at its most Reliable!
Hmmm, it looks like the Cost of the F1 Project Combined with the PR Disaster and Tanked Sales Resulting from a Years worth of Montone's being Discovered by the Specialist Press to have been built with Cracks in the Chassis Rails due to Negligent Workmen not having the Furnace up High Enough Resulting in Porous, Weak, Steel (hence the Low Difficulty, High Cost, Replacing the Chassis!) be what Drives Cisalpina into Bankruptcy and the Hands of either Might (who basically just slap Cisalpina Badges and "Rich Corinthian Leather" onto Mildly "Hotted up" (Via Bigger Capicity "No Replacement for Displacement!" Engines!) Versions of their own V12 Monster Sedan's and Ban Lorenzo from spending more than $1 without Permission from Might HQ in Ellisbury) or SPAM (who allow Lorenzo to stay Independent, and allow him to keep doing his own Projects, but he needs to use Parts Bin Components from SPAM's Budget Models to keep their Costs low) just to keep on making Cars?
This gets more interesting by the Episode :)
PS. Archana will want Cheap, Simple, Crude, but Reliable Compact "Cars for the People" as it, in the 1960's, would still be a Communist Country, meaning Sports Cars would be illegal to own for all but the Party Apparatchik's in the Politburo!
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't know that I am on par with the Coventry Climax - that's certainly good enough! And I just hope that the company can stay independent for a little longer! All of your options are not what I wish for the company's future :)

Yup, pretty much on par with the Customer Climax Units, so, given the mid Engine in the F2, so long as Cisalpina gets a Driver who can handle her twitchy nature, and the Engine holds Together, she may have a couple of wins in her on the Really Twisty Tracks (Monaco for example) where the Power advantage of the Ferrari V6 was Nullified!
I do hope Cisalpina does stay independent a little longer, as I do kind of fancy the Idea of Lorenzo just not wanting to give up on the F2 and turning it into a 60's LCC Rocket when the Finances are right!

I think that track is good for track focused cars, I’m not sure about it if you ever start producing family cars or less sporty cars though, but I also can’t think of a suitable alternative

Normally I do not use much flake (0.05-0.1), reduce saturation (around 0.7-0.8) and shine (also around 0.7). But the real work is done by having raytracing enabled.
In a certain light, the car looks green and orange. So it's bound to be quick😀

You should have used a v8 or v6 as the smaller cilinders would allow you to rev higher and make more power
I'd love to have used a V6, but they are not yet available. A V8 would have been even more expensive and probably not ready in time. And I need a new inline 4 for the next generation of our entry level car :)

I've never played it but I would like to. I think I can really enjoy the creation and everything. But I am a little bit afraid of being lost, and I don't want to buy the game and never play it...
So here is my question : is it possible to do more simple things, without going that much in the details in the beginning, and actually enjoy the game and learn easily?

Normally new players start with just building cars and engines in Sandbox. There is a lot to learn already, and the item descriptions will give you a basic understanding of cars. In the near futures, the separate engine and car engineering scenarios will come back, where your engine and car builds will get a score depending on different requirements. This really helped me in the past to understand the game mechanics and how the different car and engine parts work. You can have a ton of fun in Sandbox already, just building the cars of your dreams. You can also always get help / answers to questions on the Automation Discord, there are always helpful people online.
The campaign is a different beast and harder to get into, as there is not much help in the game yet. You have to rely on UA-cam there. Die Entscheidung habe ich rein auf Basis der Optik und der Realität getroffen. Definitiv keine gute Entscheidung im Sinne der Spielmechaniken!
Warum kein V8? Deine Arbeiter kennen doch V8 und mehr Leistung hättest bestimmt auch herausbekommen
