- A huge thanks and shoutout to the devs for the nice gift! I am super happy to have this useful and atmospheric addition to the series!
Let's play a new Automation campaign in the Ellisbury Update (LCV 4.3) of the game! Again, we try an extreme 100x difficulty setting, which will be proper hard with improved competitors and new emission regulations.

Fruina deciding not to sell your cars will be looked back upon historically as a national disgrace. These are masterpieces that will end up in museums and in private collections.
Not to mention, I'm sure that there will be plenty of kit Car versions of the old Cisalpinas so people can live out their dreams of owning one
original Dalluha Yellow will be so very rare on these cars.
The lore you put into your playthrough is really for me what sets your channel apart, and the work Andrew put in making you a shed ties the story together so much more. Another great episode!
Agreed, I've been on UA-cam since 2005 but I've never seen a Dev actually get involved with a let's play while it is being done
Having the shed added to the game is so cool. Love the Devs of this game
Everyone, let's agree, that the paintjob of the minister, and the burnt letter is one of the highlights of the shed😂
I like the shed desgin
For a number of newly independent oil rich nations, the light sports car was the more attainable luxury. Junior officers within the military of various Juntas found an outlet for their youthful adrenaline seeking behaviour in using newfound wealth to both attend races and purchase cars of their own to race.
A tip for the "whitewall" tires to work with the new tyre models if you don't know already.
You can go into advanced trim and bring the rims out a little bit more. (IIRC it should be the Rim Center Offset in the "Wheels" section.) -100 - 400 will have the whitewalls showing up.
Hope this tip helps!
Thanks! I forgot about these options. Next time then! :)
I notice that the cars aren't being driven to their full potential and I think the timing leaderboard is suffering as a result. It would be interesting if the cars and test track were easily available in beamNG and viewers were able to contribute to a shared leaderboard for each car to get a more representative time for each model. You could tie it into the lore as "privateer entries in local events"
Good idea with the crowd-sourced leaderboard! I really like it and will work something out to announce in the next episode. The missing cars will be available in Beam until then!
The Monotone Cinghale is truly befitting of its name; a black bull that's difficult to control, but offers amazing power. Maybe it'd do better on a straighter track, but pure power with little control isn't exactly what Cisalpina is about.
It definitely would be quicker than the 1100 on a track with a few straights :)
@@the.bavarianit'd do well at Monzq
That shed looks great, love the attention to detail! The Cinghiale prototype also seems terrifying to drive (also: maybe it could look good with a contrasting white roof?)
I'll try it out and see if I like it!
Props to the dev for the shed design
the cars in the shed look cool!
The Shed is very cool and at the moment very era-appropriate.
Hope there will be future versions of the Garage as well when new decades roll around.
Also, I was hoping Cinghiale gets more visual differentiation than simply a unique body colour.
It could be a boar badge, special letter badge, extra side vents, or even a small chrome trim.
Up-valuing via slightly different trim features has been all the rage since then and still persists today!
Would make sense for those paying much more for this special 2.0L version would want some for bragging rights.
Otherwise, great work on the narrative and the video, your LP is the most engaging to watch on youtube for me at the moment, I simply can't have enough.
I already have the boar badge prepared visually, I just need to make a mod out of it first! Until now, it is a one-off prototype, so no need to polish it yet. But when it would be released, I totally agree that more detail is needed.
What an awesome campaign. Always looking forward to the next episode. I'm very glad that the Devs also enjoy your playtrough! Keep up the awesome work!
Mr. Bayer this is insane. The shed is a work of art, this is another level of quality! Do you remember when I commented for you to make videos more frequently scrap that. Quality comes with a price and this is definitely worth the wait. Well done as always
I once had this discussion with an ubitedstater of "why rally cars look like toys?" (to them) and "why little engines?!"
Answear: For mountain, bendy roads.. Light and nimble is better than a heavy muscle csr that needs 3 days to brake and two weeks to turn.
Also, lighter (but tuned) engines deliver better power to the ground in "non-optimal" (flat pavement) conditions.
Really looking forward for the next flagship car design!
Maybe somewhere in the 60s there will be public demand for a car reflecting the ongoing space race of the cold war, think Matra djet, Lamborghini Miura, Chevy Astro Corvettes, Citroen DS and Jaguar E type...
You can call it "maiale spaziale" aka. space 🐖
Sky is the limit, looking forward to what the future lays in store!
A supercar is within reach, as the market is growing! We can be a bit more bold with the design then, I am looking forward to it!
Cisalpina reminds me of a story.
During the military regime some people bought chasis and engines from vw and made there own cars.
It could made a cool campain.
hell yeah
The shed looks amazing. It was so sweet of the devs to do that for you
The shed is awesome and, as I previously said, the quality of the videos is really high. Curious to see what Lorenzo has in mind for the future!
Great video, loving this series so far! One tiny thing I noticed with the Cinghiale is that in the engine developement screen you selected a dual exhaust but the car the way you modeled it only has one exhaust pipe. I dont know but that really bothered me, maybe I have OCD or something. Anyways keep up the great work!
Yes, I noticed this during editing (i.e. too late) as well. It has been fixed for the update to the Beam mod already!
I think the last Rivetto should go to a local museum until you can build a proper cisalpina museum I’m happily waiting for the next episode so until then sit back in the drivers seat of the cisalpina and enjoy fruinian dolce vita
The workshop looks amazing! it's so cool to see your channel grow! even though automation is a small niche it definitely brings a welcoming community.
Hey Der Bayer! I just recently subbed, your videos are amazing! You've been a huge inspiration to me in my own Automation campaign and I've learned so much watching this series. Thank you!
Thank you very much! :)
Can’t wait to drive these cars myself in beamng. Edit: I’ve just seen that the page has updated can’t wait to try them out when I can
I absolutely love it when people put this much effort into the lore of their playthroughs of any game, especially sandbox games like automation. This is amazing, and I can't imagine the amount of effort you took to do this. Please keep this up!
your constant rambling has taught me how to play, noice
cool series too
Amazing work and thank you to the game designer for giving us features that compliment the series and all future content! I can't wait to see what is added in the future. Maybe a feature to have racing as a feature that assists with marketing. Your cars stats vs competition and you have to opt a model into the race series at a cost etc?
Found this channel a few weeks ago, really been enjoying this series!
always look forward to your automation videos
Love the shed. Great piece of acknowledgement by the dev. This is by far the best Automation series on YT and it keeps getting better.
I feel this company needs a flagship “car for the the people” something like a fiat 500 or Volkswagen Beetle. Something that’s cheap to produce but will dominate its market and sell in high numbers
Cheap goes hand in hand with large production numbers and thus factories. Something we cannot afford at the moment!
@@the.bavarian Gotchya you should definitely consider when it is a viable option tho!
This is the best lore playthrough of any game on youtube. Every episode inspires me to keep learning how to play this game
another great episode, looking forward to emission tuning and the new model design
I am scared :)
Next Chingiale, put some extra fog/race lights on the bumper, to separate it from the pack
This series is some of my favourite content on UA-cam at the moment. Absolutely excellent work, I look forward to what the future holds!
I love the new shed factory!
Oh wow, the shed photoscene is so awesome! Major props to the devs for adding that in game for you!
Andrew, great work on the shed! Der Bayer, thanks for keeping this going and the time you put into lore even with the pitfalls you knew were coming! I really appreciate putting on your videos and actually watching them instead of having something in the background.
These videos are so good. Genuinely inspiring me to try and make my own automation playthrough series
so great content, i liked the mustache the car had but like the newer version as well. want to see the refined version of cchingiale in terms of engineering. and definetely a way for cisalpina to be in the le mans battle of 66, maybe do it in sandbox and test in beam as one off i dont know but that would be awesome. someone should photoshop cisalpina prototype next to the ford gt in the movie poster haha
I love you and your work. Hope one day there is a little discord we can access all the models and company information and lore from.
Nice to see your views have shot up since your last series, keep it up 💯
I think La Banana rotted and went crazy.
By the next generation you should have access to LSD too if I remember the dates right, which should help.
It's so cool that the devs added the shed in the game!
Maybe they could add it to the campaign as an option smaller than tiny to rp the start of this series. Maybe something for engines too.
I think they were at least looking into making a smaller factory option possible. Don't know if there was a decision yet!
@@the.bavarian That is so cool. I hope you feel proud of your content, not only is it the best on UA-cam, but it is good enough to influence the game itself!
Congratulations on getting the Shed!
Awesome! Thank you for the fast upload :)
Amazing content like always ❤
You could use the new roof mod to make the jaguar body more italian
I just did it and it was surpricingly easy
Btw love the videos
I need to give this a go. Thanks for the idea! I already have plans for the design, but didn't like the roof of some variants. Perfect timing :)
Gave the cinghiale a go myself... and fair enough. It's not just the traction and power but also how front heavy it is, rear just wants to snap out with any excuse. Almost feels like a completely different chassis to MM. Got down to 3:08 with *significant* effort. Definitely is faster, but your ranking factors in the driveability nicely.
3:08 is reeeeally good! I don't want to know how long it took to get there. I already needed so many tries until I got a somewhat quick time and reached the finish line :)
Shed! Nice work as always.
Maybe for the 60s you could look at an Italian equivalent to the original lotus elan
Its so cool that the shed is added!
:D
so cool man! love this series
Damn man, your viewers and subscribers are growing like crazy. I've been watching this channel for a while now and I'm very happy with how far it's grown.
I am very happy, too! Numbers are nice to have, but the positive feedback is what keeps me going :)
Awesome video again.
I do get the feeling the times you get can be improved though ;D
Yeah, it already took me quite a while until I didn't crash too much. Maybe I have to switch to the proper wheel now as the cars are quicker and need more precision!
@@the.bavarian yeah definitely. I managed to be >5s quicker with a wheel on most cars. The Montone 2000 also drives extremely well with a wheel :D
Remember, you can use half of your V8 project as a blueprint of your next generation of 4 cylinder engines.
Indeed! Might need a different head type though, as emission regulations will start to be a thing soon!
@@the.bavarian SOHC operating the Valves instead of a DAC? however, it may be possible to get the DAC through with a larger (and thus less Stressed) Engine, like the DAC 1.9 Opel used in the Top Versions of the GT and MK1 Manta?
that shed design is awesome
Seeing your vids and hearing you is almost always bringing smile to me
the shed is amazing!
You need to add a Second Tail Pipe to the Cinghiale to go with the Twin Exhausts on the Spec Sheet (and the Twin Blasts of "Coal" seen in BEAM) , and, indeed, I would suggest not releasing it without the Limited Slip Differential to get it under control as it is slower than la Banana without one and I cannot see Lorenzo being at all pleased with that! We do not need a "V8 Suicide Machine" on this side of the Atlantic just Yet! Unless, in Lore, it is a non-Diff Cinghiale going out of control that is what is going to cause the Horror Crash that brings the Curtains down on the Mille Monti in 1957 of course?
Yes, I already edited the exhaust on the Cinghiale before the upload to the Beam repository :) Noticed that as well! And the Cinghiale probably won't be released as it is and remain a one-off. Cisalpina does not want to be responsible for the end of the Mille Monti :)
@@the.bavarian Nice one! good to see it will have the Proper Dual Pipes when Finished :)
Indeed, best the Cinghiale remains a Prototype in Mk1 form (due to Lorenzo storming back into the shed cussing a blue streak in purest Narnillian about the thing being Undrivable!, causing the rest of the workers to dive under their desks with their hands over their ears!) and allow Ferranti to end the Mille Monti Instead.
I'm loving the shed, wish I could get it into my game myself 😄Lighting on the car looks especially nice
I have been waiting for this!
37:40
Lorenzo almost become the reason why frunian government raise the safety standard for 2nd time in recent year
I think there should be some "lore" that means front plates aren't needed - I think they really make cars look weird
They make small cars look weird, just like in real life. Maybe I need to place them a bit earlier in the design process to integrate them better
Nice shed nice beast car
Nice.
I would’ve lowered the rpm of the V8 to 7500-7600rpm since it dropped off before that. Lovely car though
Can we see another racing special? Perhaps lorenzo has decided to engineer a lighter version of the montone, fitted with the V8, ready for some sports car racing (maybe something le mans ish)
The next gen car will hopefully have a racing version again, now that we are through the worst crisis and hava a bit of money again!
Great video, also you should watch filman86's video on how to make steering wheels turn might be a good detail
I did already and will try it for the upcoming car. Then I can apply it to the already existing cars and update them as well.
W devs
You are incredible ❤️!
What is Fruinian for "closer to 50/50 weight distribution and maybe 175-185 tires for the Cinghale, Lorenzo?"
We'll work on that, Lorenz learned a lot from this car. Luckily it us just a concept/one-off as of now!
20:50 the black and red combo looks kinda fresh tho
Maybe something to consider in the future!
Oh, I am sad about the "face" of the car being changed. It had a plucky little mustache! It's still a beautiful car now with the full bumper.
Sorry for shaving it off :D
Consider ditching the MM altogether and turning turning the v8 into a proper track monster, while the competizione becomes a more easy going, Alfa spyder-like car (though the name would no longer make sense)
It would basically mean beefing up the
Competizione, yes! This is an option for the supercar market at some point. For other markets I would need my own engine factory first to cut cost. We'll see!
NEW VIDEOO LETSGOO
It'll be cool if you design the cars in the shed and explain what are you doing to the cars in first person view with the cars in front of you and get back to automation when finishing the car design.
With 1st person view do you mean showing my face? Hell no, I'd need to make me not look like I just got out of bed :D
@@the.bavarian sorry for my bad English but I meant to move the recording in the shed and put the car Infront of you and explain what you're doing
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I find that I almost always make the license plates smaller than they start out. They seem like they are too big on just about any car.
Oh no, this is one of the 7 cardinal sins of Automation! Your soul is doomed now forever unfortunately.
me love you video :D
Can you add more of the cars to the beam repository? Absolutely loving it
I will try to update the collection tomorrow. Beam moderators will have to approve the update, so it might take slightly longer until they are public.
@@the.bavarianthanks!
Update on the swedish company: the 70s killed them.
Im now doing lotus but italian lmao
Oh no!
What was that under the frame huh?
Chassis nectar.
Yeah a bit of spilled paint. Somehow the chassis is not texturen properly on my end, it looks better on Andrew's PC. There are still a few small things to polish :)
I have a question, I have never played Automation and I wanted to ask if you can put your cars in some races to promote them or something?
Hi, unfortunately this is not part of the game. You can just pretend to go racing by advertising your cars' sportiness.
@@the.bavarian Thank you very much
How do I make my own personal playthrough similar to this , you should make a guide of rules the player should follow depending on different playthroughs
The rules are basically in the very first episode of this playthrough. No money, tiny plot and car factory, 100x difficulty in Fruinia - that's it!
ium curious, with old cars no longer sellign, is it ebtter to scrap them or jsut continually lower the price ont hem untill they sell, even if below minimum cost to make, ie its worse, but its cheap so itll hit the lower market for mroe band awareness and prestige, kidna thing
37:40 a absoltiely based moment right there
Normally it is better to lower the price until they sell. Just make sure to no longer produce them (and actually empty the factory i.e. fire the workers) before you go into negative profit margins. But normally if there are only 2-3 cars left, I just scrap them.
Lorewise, since the yellow paint was a protest against the safety regs and they have not been rescinded dont you have to keep your cars yellow?
They have been toned down though so going back to red fits.
Still it is the national racing colour of Fruinia (as I imagine it, don't know if the community agrees on this), so as we are back in Fruinia it makes sense. But maybe we will have more colour options in the future anyway, including returns of the yellow.
f@@the.bavarian frunian racing green edition when
Hey I would love yo have the shed as my game feels boring? Would you be able to put the mod on the collection?
I did not create the mod, I received it from the devs. So it is their decision if they want to put it on the workshop, sorry! Other people also have requested this, hopes are high!
Ok thx for the response
Your voice is a bit low in the beginning of the video FYI. Would consider making the in-game audio and music a bit quieter here, as your voice sounds really nice otherwise. :)
Yeah you're right. Somehow it always sounds a bit different during editing. I will try to reduce the fluctuations in the volume of my voice. Sorry! I hope it was still understandable.
@@the.bavarian Yes, was still understandable! :)
Loved the video by the way, this series has me waiting for every single episode! :D
36:00 So you mean it's American? :P
Everyone, let's agree, that the paintjob of the minister, and the burnt letter is one of the highlights of the shed😂
