Let's play a new Automation campaign in the Ellisbury Update (LCV 4.3) of the game! Again, we try an extreme 100x difficulty setting, which will be proper hard with improved competitors and new emission regulations.

I’m considering buying a Montone and I live in Hetvesia. I have always loved Fruinian cars. I can buy a 62’ used for $28k used. It’s insane how expensive Nuovavias have gotten. In 2019 I saw one for sale for $4,000,000. I consistently see Nuovavias for $4-5 million. I think I’m probably going to get a 1100 Mille Monte. The one I want is in yellow. I’m afraid that Montones are going to become VERY valuable
The blue color option on the Nuovavia was the deciding factor for my preorder. it really does feel special. 😉

Theres no video I am more excited for than this campaign play-through. Cant wait for the next one. Ive also been inspired to try myself!
How about this idea: The Cisalpina Nuovavia Cinghiale with the engine from the F2-Racecar, or a Mk.IV Montone Cinghiale in two versions: The Cisalpina Montone Cinghiale Versione Stradale with the V8 from the Nuovavia and a Cinghiale Versione Compertizione with the F2-Engine. And another idea: If, somewhere in the future, Cisalpina will make an extremly comfortable GT, they could maybe ask Might Motors for a bit help...
Which Might sees as a way to take over the company Completely, Oust Lorenzo, and just turn it into a Badge for their own Cars, just with even Bigger Engines to "hot them up" and Rich Corinthian Leather on the Seats, as we all know that is what Ford would have done to Ferrari, and eventually actually did do to Ghia ("Ghia" is just a badge now, and has been since the 70's Really, "Ghia" now just signifying a Slight Bodykit, a Bigger "hotted up" (usually by fitting the 2.3 Ecoboost instead of just the 2.0 Ecoboost of the non "Ghia" Model these days rather than the Big V6's of older "Ghia" Fords) Motor and better Leather on the Seats) instead!
Causing a Bitter Four Way Power Struggle between Lorenzo who wants to Remain Independent, his chief of Engineering who wants to sell to SPAM so Cisalpina remains Fruinian, and his workers, who are split between the Non Union Workers who want the Insane levels of money that Might are offering, and the Union Workers who want to become part of Communist Archana and are siding with Comrade Motors...
@@simeonyves5940 No. I thought more like Mercedes Benz, when they asked Porsche for help to develope the Mercedes Benz 500E W124, or Vauxhall/Opel asked Lotus for help, to develope the Vauxhall VX220/Opel Speedster or the Vauxhall Lotus Carlton/Opel Lotus Omega. So, I've thought, because Cisalpina will maybe have problems in the production of luxury cars, and Might Motors is an expert in this category. Maybe, it could be something like that: Cisalpina produces the car body and the engine, etc., and Might Motors will produce the interior. And isn't Might Motors a company from Gasmea?

@@MrRacer04 Ah Right, it is just I have always seen Might as being more like Ford than GM or Mercedes Benz, and we all know Ford tends to buy Italian Companies (Vignale, Ghia) , and then reduce them into nothing more than Badges on "Hotted up" and more Luxurious Versions of their own Cars (Meaning, if Ford had got their way back in the 1960's , the Ferrari 400 Series would have been nothing more than a Cortina Crusader but with the 2.8 Injected Cologne Motor from the Capri instead of the 2 Liter Pinto!) so that would be more accurate to the Lore if Might is Ford), if Might are more like GM However, then yes, a Relationship like GM and Lotus had for the Carlton (Might Provides a top Spec Luxury GT/Saloon and then Cisalpina makes a Supercar Slayer out of it! and Cisalpina also helps turn the Might V12 from an Underpowered Malaise Spec Pushrod Rusty Nail into a Quad Cam Fire-Breathing Rocket, like how Lotus turned the Chevy Small Block from the Lumpy old L83 into the now Iconic LT5!) would certainly work.
Yes, Might are from Gasmea, which is where I got the Idea for some of Lorenzo's Workers being very Opposed to working with Might! as there is, in Automation Lore, a lot of Ill Feeling in Fruinia about Gasmea over Gasmea annexing Vianta during the Second World War. There is also the Fact that most Trade Unions in Italy during the 1960's and 70's were Deeply Communist, and often Controlled from within the Soviet Union, which is where Comrade Motors and Arkhana come in, as for SPAM getting Mentioned, Doubtless Several of Lorenzos Workers would have had Relatives who were Killed by the Gasmeans during the Annexation of Vianta, and would far sooner Sell out Completely to another Fruinian Company like SPAM than ever work, even as a consulting partner company, to any "Imperalisti" from Gasmea like Might.
I just like Complicated Lore's that are full of Drama, Intrigue, Deep Personal Battles, and Strongly "Anti-Corporate" Sentiment!

Great new video, der bayer, but i have a little thing to add. The Nuovavia now uses magnesium rims, which would be one big piece rather than spoked rims like on it currently.

Hmm, any chance of chopping the V8 in Half to make a 1 Litre DAC Slant Four Engine for the Montone's Eventual Replacement? or for when SPAM, now adding the Lampreadi Dual Cam into all their New Cars, Ceases Production on the "412" Block it needs, as it dates back to the 1930's and SPAM is going to cease Production on it Eventually! and the Licence Built Archanan Version from Comrade Motors tends to be made from Incorrectly Smelted Pig Iron and often Blows itself up at over 4,000 RPM (Actually a common issue in Real Life on Soviet Built Engines... as seen with the EMW 340) ... no good for Lorenzo!
Ouch! the Emissions hit the V8 Hard on the original Carbs!! Compression right down and Power Non Existent as a Result just to Scrape the Legal Level! the Curse of the "Malaise" Era playing out on our Screens there! Nice to see a Decent Set of Quad SU's got that Sorted however, as Twin SU's would look pretty nice on the 1 Litre Slant 4 Spin off, if you choose to do it.
I note that "Luxury Rivetto" that someone made for you has a very 60's Looking Interior, perhaps making that fully Safety Compliant and giving it the 1 Litre DAC Slant Four Motor, as the "Nuova Rivetto" could make a good replacement for the, Sadly Axed, Montone Competizione? especially now the Finances are coming back together?
Still, pretty awesome Job hauling Cisalpina out of the Death Spiral! I was convinced it was Finished without Might or SPAM taking over! pretty cool to see that it Lives to Fight another Day as an Independent due to the Montone MK3 Taking off!
For WES 3 you are probably going to have to look at Mechanical Fuel Injection. Expensive!
For an Entry Level Car, Perhaps looking at the Real Life FIAT 850, Matra-Bonnet Djet, and Matra/Simca 1200S might be a way to get an idea, Small, Inexpensive, Rear Engine (always cheapest), Pretty Sports Coupes with Cheap yet Heavily Tuned Hatchback Engines and Sparkling Chassis?
I don't think the old V8 is a good basis for meeting the emissions requirements. We already have a new, pretty good inline 4 engine now with two direct acting overhead cams :) We're gonna need a new V8 soon.
And we are going to make WES4 with the inline 4 easily, even with DCOE :) No need for mechanical injection (thank God, that would have been expensive!).
We are still a bit away from "entry-level cars", as we lack manufacturing capacity, but mid-level sports cars are within reach soon!
@@the.bavarian True, the V8 is getting long in the Tooth, and got a bad case of Malaise just trying to meet WES 2, looks like the Three Years of Claw and Tooth Survival ended the "Half V8" Plan... Probably for the best as 55 BHP at best is going to look very Anaemic by the late 60's!
I didn't think about a Down Tuned version of the Twin Cam as the new Cisalpina 4... until I saw todays Video! You did the Rocket as the Replacement for the Montone! as I said, that made my day!
A 3 Litre, Quad Cam, 32 Valve V8... ooooh! that is going to give Ferranti a Pink and Purple Fit! his 3 Litre 803 launches with only 16 Valves! Also perfect for the Targa Vianta where the big 5 Litre Cars turned out to be just too Blessed Big and the Smaller 2 and 3 Litre Cars did a lot Better!
The C2 Motor makes WES4 on Webers? Nice! Indeed, Mechanical Injection would have been Crippling for Cisalpina, if they can stay on Webers until the Early 80's (A Fuelie motor will be needed to go Turbo however and well, you kind of Had to go Turbo in the 80's due to Turbomania!) that will save a Fortune.
Indeed, Entry Level seems a long way off, I am guessing, as Cisalpina seem to be becoming an Italian Lotus (so the GT being Equivalent to the '70s Eclat perhaps?, as the Possible "wedgy shooting break" body would certainly have some Eclat Vibes!), it could be the Mid 90's before the first real Entry Level Cisalpina as a Rival to the Elise?

Hey about the Mille Monti I have a few questions 1. are all mod bodies forbidden or just memes and 1 seaters? 2. my game is dubbed in German is the line upf for tire types and material the same in every version or does it differ from version to version? 3. are the any regulations on how to design the body or are we allowed to run wild? Thanks for your wonderful content and making my day
1. "normal" most bodies are allowed, i.e. most of them are ok.
2. the line should be the same, I guess it is something like "Reifendurchmesser" (not "Felgendurchmesser") in German
3. you may design your car like to want it to, but the community will score your car, so it would be a good idea to try to make it look realistic for the era :) But there is nothing to be afraid of, I won't disqualify a car based on looks (except it is offensive or a pure meme)

Really rough couple of episodes. If given another shot, I bet Lorenzo would have decided to invest in facilities to build engines in-house before fully committing to a racing department.
It's sometimes hard to figure out why the horse won't pull your cart when it's not your horse to begin with.
That's probably true... But I don't think the spare money wasted on the F2 project would have been enough to get a loan for the engine factory already. But we would have been able to afford it a lot earlier some time in the 60s by saving better. Still, getting the factory is now #1 priority.
Would love to see a playthrough just like this but instead of a Ferrari lore have a what if you were back in the day and had to make a successful sport car and brand.
I think I do my own story - of course it is inspired by Ferrari, but there's also some Lamborghini, Gordini, Lotus, ... and many other things that contributed to the overall story! From a car perspective, I'd rather say Cisalpina is an italian Lotus, not a Ferrari clone :)

Wouldn’t it also help with emissions if you had lowered the top RPM?
I don't really think so. The emissions tests are mostly done at low rpm anyway, so just lowering the rpm limit wouldn't do much I guess.
