This is the 2nd episode of VK 30.01 (P) build. In part 1 I converted the Hobby Boss kit useing a resin 3D printer, in this part it is time to finish the project. I cut window glases with my Plotter/Cutter, paint the model in grey color modulation, with panel lighting technique and show a simple and effective weathering process.
That's some really nice subtle weathering.....
Thank you Paul!
That was a real pleasure to watch, thanks. Beautiful paint effects! I'm glad there's going to be a diorama for it - looking forward to it. Cheers.
Thank you Andrew! Diorama will be done next summer as soon as I have the Prosche Type 102 prototype ready.
@@Tankbrusher Great subject for a dio. I'll be looking out for the StuG! 👍
A really nice update and the weathering is stunning for the build perfect for being a prototype will look forward to your next project
Thank you Greg, highly appreciate your commet. Next one will be a africa stug III.
That's a nice blue-ish grey color on the tank!
Looking at the history of these petrol-electro powered prototypes, one gets the feeling Dr. Porsche was more focussed on revolutionizing the automotive industry than creating a proper armored fighting vehicle.
The concept of converting mechanical combustion energy from the engine into electrical energy for the batteries, then using it to power an electrical 4-wheeled transmission to create mechanical energy again, is just wasteful.
Looking forward to your build of the Henschel prototype's big brother, the VK 36.01. With interior!!
Hey Maurico, it is very interessting to read about what actually went on behind what we as scale modellers belive in. Back in these days the doubts in a mechanical transmission system were very justified since there was no tank motor available - the USSR showed up with the first one in thier T34 impressing all of the ppl involved in Tiger and Panther program. Porsche used his concept before in an artillery towing tractor and followed what he knew - he investigated a petrol hydrolic drive as well. When I look a modern heavy mining vehicles - we are going electric drive where ever we can. But yes, back than it was more than wasteful and a drain on the industry.
Sieht hervorragend aus. Eine sehr schöne Arbeit. Sehr praktisch, die passenden Klarsichtfenster.
Hat sich alles bewährt und Dein Modell sieht nach der Alterung prima aus.
Alles schön erläutert in Deinem Video. Eine runde Sache, Kai.
Komm gut durch die Woche. Gruß Joachim
Danke Dir Joachim. Bin auf deine Gruppenbauten gespannt! Bis die Tage! Gruß Kai
I love tones and weathering. Great explinations
thanks Rick!
Hi friend, it's very politely painting and weathering as usual. I don't know how many layers did you paint, but the finish is so impressive for me.
Thanks for uploading and looking forward to the next video.
Thank you! I had to paint the base color 2 times - that was not planed : / The dust effects are usually 2-3 layers, I would like to finish in time, otherwise I would have taken one darker and one lighter color and repeated the same.
Looks really good nice weathering
Thank you very much Jeff!
Nice job, Hello from Russia!
Thanks mate, Hello from Germany!
That one I had to look up on the map ; ) Nice to meet you here!
I'll have to check back later. I am painting walls today...
Same fucking excuse he gave me.
lol
Great update my friend, really nice weathering procedure. You achieved a pretty realistic look. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Hi and thanks for the compliment! I'll do my best to keep things interessting.
